La sedia per wc e doccia è garantito 2 ANNI dalla data di acquisto. Il distributore si
riserva il diritto di riparare o sostituire le parti affette da difetti di fabbricazione o nei
materiali usati, senza nessuna spesa per il cliente. La garanzia non è applicabile in
caso di danni legati ad un uso improprio, ad abusi, ad alterazioni o ad uno smontaggio
effettuato da personale non autorizzato. Nel rispetto delle suddette condizioni per
l’esercizio della garanzia, inviare il prodotto munito della ricevuta di acquisto al
rivenditore locale più vicino.
WARRANTY
This shower chair has 2-YEAR warranty from the purchase date which is certified by the
receipt or invoice. The distributor reserves the right either to repair or replace
necessary parts to correct defects in the materials or workmanship without any charge.
The warranty does not apply to damage resulting from failure to follow the operating
instructions, accidents, abuse, alteration or disassembly by unauthorized individuals.
In case you need to get this product repaired and you fulfil the conditions of warranty,
send it to the nearest retailer together with the purchase receipt.

design e la sua qualità garantiscono comfort, nella massima sicurezza ed affidabilità. La sedia
per WC e doccia MOPEDIA by MORETTI è stata progettata e realizzata per soddisfare tutte
le vostre esigenze per un corretto utilizzo in ambienti interni. Il prodotto da voi acquistato è
stato interamente studiato e progettato in Italia dall’ufficio Ricerca e Sviluppo della Moretti
S.p.A. - Italia. I materiali utilizzati, gli accessori ed i test di qualità sono costantemente
controllati da personale della Moretti S.p.A. La sola produzione è fatta in Cina e risponde ai
requisiti dettati dalle vigenti disposizioni europee sui dispositivi medici (93/42/CEE). Questo
manuale d’uso contiene dei piccoli suggerimenti per un corretto uso dell’ausilio da voi scelto
e dei preziosi consigli per la vostra sicurezza. Si consiglia di leggere attentamente la totalità
del presente manuale prima di usare la sedia. In caso di dubbi la preghiamo di contattare il
rivenditore, il quale saprà aiutarvi e consigliarvi correttamente.
Destinazione d’uso
La Sedia per wc e doccia MOPEDIA è destinata a persone con difficoltà motorie e può essere
utilizzata all’interno di una doccia come sostituzione del wc e come supporto per il lavaggio.
La MORETTI S.p.A. declina qualsiasi responsabilità per danni provocati da un uso improprio
del dispositivo o da un uso diverso da quanto indicato nel presente manuale.
Dichiarazione di conformità CE
La MORETTI S.p.A. dichiara sotto la sua esclusiva responsabilità che il prodotto fabbricato ed
immesso nel commercio dalla stessa MORETTI S.p.A. e facente parte della famiglia Sedie per
doccia è conforme alle disposizioni applicabili della direttiva 93/42/CEE sui dispositivi medici.
A tal scopo la MORETTI S.p.A. garantisce e dichiara sotto la propria esclusiva responsabilità
quanto segue :
1. I dispositivi in oggetto soddisfano i requisiti essenziali richiesti dall’allegato I° della
direttiva 93/42/CEE come prescritto dall’allegato VII° della suddetta direttiva.
2. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO STRUMENTI DI MISURA.
3. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO DESTINATI AD INDAGINI CLINICHE.
4. I dispositivi in oggetto vengono commercializzati in confezione NON STERILE.
5. I dispositivi in oggetto sono da considerarsi come appartenenti alla classe I°.
6. NON È CONSENTITO utilizzare e/o installare i dispositivi in oggetto al di fuori della
destinazione d’uso prevista dalla MORETTI S.p.A.
7. MORETTI S.p.A. mantiene e mette a disposizione delle Autorità Competenti la documentazione
tecnica comprovante la conformità alla Direttiva 93/42/CEE.
Montaggio
Tutte le Sedie MOPEDIA vengono fornite con schienale e pedane smontati. Per il montaggio
dello schienale è sufficiente
infilare le due estremità dei tubi
nelle apposite aperture previsto
nella parte posteriore della sedia
(Fig. 1). Le pedane regolabili
devono essere inserite all’esterno
della sedia inserendo nei due
perni la parte superiore della
pedana (Fig. 2). Attenzione ad
individuare correttamente quale
pedana utilizzare. I poggiapiedi devono essere sempre all’interno della sedia. Per fissare la
pedana assicurarsi che la leva di bloccaggio sia ben fissata all’interno della sedia (Fig. 3). Inserire
la tazza wc dalla parte posteriore della Sedia facendo attenzione ad inserirla correttamente
nelle guide previste.
Regolazione pedane
Le pedane della Sedia per doccia possono essere regolate secondo
l’altezza che offre il miglior confort, premendo la clip di bloccaggio posta
sulla pedana (Fig. 4), con un’altezza dal pavimento non inferiore ai 6,5
cm. Controllare sempre che le due pedane siano alla stessa altezza.
Utilizzo
Per spingere la Sedia per doccia usare sempre e solo il maniglione posteriore, non spingere
mai utilizzando altri appoggi. Prima di muoversi su una superficie inclinata assicurarsi delle
proprie capacità e limiti. Consultare le tecniche di movimento con personale qualificato. È co-
munque raccomandata una assistenza per le superfici con una pendenza superiore al 10%. Se
è necessario fermarsi su una superficie inclinata, evitare movimenti bruschi. Per rallentare in
una discesa non usare i freni delle ruote.
Non cambiare bruscamente la direzione in discesa. Per la discesa e la salita delle scale farsi
sempre aiutare da una persona bloccando i freni della Sedia. Nel caso in cui due persone sollevino
la sedia, evitare di impugnarla in punti pericolosi per il paziente come pedane e braccioli, ma
utilizzare solo il telaio e le impugnature posteriori.
ATTENZIONE
Non fare pressione sui poggiapiedi quando si sale o si scende dalla sedia.
Freni
Il freno viene attivato tirandocompletamente verso l’alto la leva (Fig. 5).
Se regolata correttamente, la leva del freno deve stringere bene la ruota.
In caso di necessità regolare i freni allentando il dado di bloccaggio
utilizzando la chiave in dotazione e fare scorrere il morsetto in avanti o
indietro secondo le necessità. Fissare bene il dado di bloccaggio.

Ruote
Le ruote anteriori devono essere periodicamente controllate e lubrificate, secondo la necessità. Le
ruote grandi posteriori devono anch’esse essere controllate periodicamente e non devono oscillare
in nessun modo. In caso di oscillazione della ruota, stringere leggermente il dado del perno di
bloccaggio della ruota. Per testare la ruota inclinare su di un lato la Sedia e far girare la ruota.
Braccioli
Per facilitare il trasporto della sedia ed i trasferimenti del paziente tutti i braccioli delle sedie per
doccia sono completamente ribaltabili. Non usare mai i braccioli per alzare o spostare la sedia.
WC
Utilizzare il wc con la sedia completamente frenata per l’utilizzo del wc estrarre
la parte del sedile asportabile tirando la maniglia presente sulla parte anteriore.
Estrarre il wc dalla parte posteriore afferrandolo per l’impugnatura (Fig. 6).

Avvertenze Generali
• Non inclinare la Sedia più del 10% senza assistenza.
• Bloccare completamente le ruote della Sedia ogni volta che il paziente viene trasferito.
• Prima di trasferire il paziente dalla/sulla Sedia, assicurarsi che la Sedia sia posta su una
superficie piana e stabile e con le ruote bloccate.
• Prima di inclinarsi in avanti o di alzarsi dalla Sedia assicurarsi che le ruote anteriori siano
dritte e quelle posteriori siano bloccate, per evitare un possibile ribaltamento.
• Per evitare un possibile ribaltamento evitare di sporgersi sul retro oltre lo schienale della Sedia.
• Fate attenzione che gli abiti non si impiglino nelle ruote della Sedia.
• Durante il montaggio e/o la regolazione di pedane, schienale e supporti per le gambe o
comunque durante l’utilizzo della sedia utilizzare la massima attenzione onde evitare
schiacciamenti accidentali delle dita.
• Tenere la sedia lontana da fonti dirette di calore.
Pulizia e manutenzione
La Sedia per doccia della linea MOPEDIA by MORETTI necessita di poche ed elementari
manutenzioni periodiche, qui di seguito vi elenchiamo i controlli da effettuare periodicamente.
• Pressione delle gomme mensile.
• Capacità frenante mensile.
• Pulizia della tappezzeria del sedile secondo necessità.
• Verifica generale da parte di personale qualificato biennale.
• Per la pulizia delle parti cromate e metalliche della sedia usare acqua ed un sapone
normalmente utilizzato per le auto.
• Per la seduta e lo schienale usare una spugna inumidita e sapone neutro. Il wc deve essere
regolarmente pulito e disinfettato utilizzando un normale disinfettante da bagno.
Smaltimento
: a fine vita del presente prodotto si consiglia di non eseguire uno smaltimento come
normale rifiuto urbano ma di utilizzare i centri di raccolta separati.

Thank you for purchasing a shower chair MOPEDIA by Moretti. Its design and its quality
guarantee to the user comfort, safety and reliability. The commode chairs and the shower
chairs MOPEDIA by Moretti are designed and realized to meet your requirements for a
correct use in inner spaces. The product purchased has been studied and analyzed in Italy
from the research and development department of Moretti S.p.A. Italia. The material used,
the accessories and the quality test are continuously checked by Moretti S.p.A. staff. Only the
production is made in Popular Republic of China according to the highest quality and safety
standards in accordance with the European Directive on Medical devices (93/42/CEE).
This instruction manual give you suggestion for a correct use of the aid and good safety
advice. We recommend to read carefully this instruction manual before using the chair. In
case of doubts about the use, please contact your dealer.
Use
The shower chair MOPEDIA is created for people with movement difficulty and can be used
indoors as substitution of toilet or as aid under the shower. Moretti Spa decline all
responsibility for any consequences resulting from an incorrect use of this product and from
unauthorized alteration to the frame of the product.
CE Declaration of conformity
Moretti S.p.A. declare under sole responsibility that the product made and traded by Moretti
S.p.A. and belonging to Shower chair range are in accordance with the European Directive on
Medical devices (93/42/CEE).
Moretti S.p.A. guarantee and declared under sole responsibility what follow:
1. The devices under discussion satisfy the essential requisites requested by the I° enclosure
directive 93/42/CEE as laid down by the VII° enclosure of the above mentioned Directive.
2. The devices under discussion ARE NOT MEASURING INSTRUMENT.
3. The devices under discussion ARE NOT MADE FOR CLINICAL PROBES.
4. The devices under discussion are traded with NON STERILE BOX.
5. The devices under discussion belong to class I°.
6. IT IS NOT ALLOWED to use and install devices except for the use provided by Moretti S.p.A.
Moretti S.p.A. places technical documentation at relevant authorities in order to prove the
conformity of 92/42/CEE device.

Assembly instruction
All the Mopedia Chairs are delivered with disassembled backrest and footrest.
To assemble the seat insert the
tubes in the opening on the back
of the seat (Picture 1).
The adjustable footrest have to be
fixed on the external side of the
seat with the pins (Picture 2). Pay
attention to the right footrest to
use and note that the footrest
have to be fixed inwards. To fix the
footrest be sure that the locking
lever is well fixed inwards the chair. Insert the WC from the back part of the chair using the rails
(Picture 3).
Footrest adjustment
The footrest of shower chair can be adjusted according to various
requirements. You have to push the locking clip on the footrest
(Picture 4) not less than 6.5cm distant from the floor. Check that
both footrest are adjusted at the same height.
Use
Use only the back handle to drive the chair, do not use other supports.
know your own capabilities and limitations in terms of strength and endurance before
attempting to go up a ramp. You and your attendant should first consult a qualified
professional for correct techniques on ramp negotiation. Assistance is recommended when
going up or down step inclines greater than 10%. If it becomes necessary to stop on an
incline, avoid sudden, abrupt forward movement when you resume propelling the chair.
If you want to lift the chair up, hold it from back handles and frame only.
WARNING
The patient must not push the footrest when go up and down from the chair.
Brakes
Engage wheel locks on both wheels before entering the chair, leaving the
chair, leaning forward in the chair or while being transported in an
elevator or wheelchair lift. On models with small wheels, push the lever
on each wheel; (Picture 5) on the other models lift up the lever to brake.
The lever on the brake must tighten the wheel. In case of necessity
check the pressure of the casters. If necessary adjust the loosen nut
and then tighten up the nut.
Casters
Casters should be inspected periodically and lubricated when necessary.
If the wheel wobbles, tighten the nut of the pivot slightly. To test for correct tightness, lean
the chair to one side and spin the adjusted wheel.
Armrest
To facilitate the transport of the wheelchair you can remove or overturn the armrests. Never
us them to move or to lift the chair.
WC
Use the toilet when the wheelchair is still. To use the toilet take
out the removable part of the seat using the handle on the front part.
Take out the toilet using the handle (Picture 6).

Warning
• Don’t attempt inclines greater than 10% without assistance.
• Completely engage the wheels locks when entering and leaving wheelchair or using it in
elevator or wheelchair lift.
• Wheelchair should be on a stable level surface and wheels locks should be engaged before
transferring user to or from the wheelchair.
• Before leaning or reaching forward , rotate the casters toward the front of the wheelchair
and engage wheel locks to help prevent wheelchair from tipping over.
• Do not lean over the top of the wheelchair back since this can cause the wheelchair to tip over.
• Pay attention that the clothes does not get entangled in the wheels of the chair.
• Pay attention to avoid the crushing of fingers during the assembling or the regulation of
footrest, backrest or wheels and during the use of the chair.
• Keep the chair far from fire.
Maintenance:
The chair MOPEDIA by MORETTI require minimal maintenance and general care, you have to
control regularly:
• Wheels locks: monthly.
• Cleaning of the seat: when necessary.
• Professional inspection: biennial.
• For the clearing of chromate or metallic parts of the seat use water and soap used for cars.
Seat and backrest can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a normal detergent. The toiled must
be clean and disinfected regularly using a normal bath detergent. Clean always before the use.
Disposal
: the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken a special local
authority separate waste collection.
