1. INTRODUZIONE
Grazie per aver scelto un’ imbracatura della linea MOPEDIA by Moretti S.p.A. Le imbracature Moretti
sono state progettate e realizzate per soddisfare tutte le vostre esigenze, per un utilizzo pratico,
corretto e sicuro. Questo manuale contiene dei piccoli suggerimenti per un corretto uso del dispositivo
da voi scelto e dei preziosi consigli per la vostra sicurezza. Si consiglia di leggere attentamente la
totalità del presente manuale prima di usare l’imbracatura. In caso di dubbi vi preghiamo di contattare
il rivenditore, il quale saprà aiutarvi e consigliarvi correttamente.
2. DESTINAZIONE D'USO
Le imbracature MOPEDIA by Moretti sono destinate al trasferimento di pazienti con difficoltà motorie.
• È vietato l’utilizzo del seguente dispositivo per fini diversi da quanto definito nel
seguente manuale
• Moretti S.p.A. declina qualsiasi responsabilità su danni derivanti da un uso improprio
del dispositivo o da un uso diverso da quanto indicato nel presente manuale
• Il produttore si riserva il diritto di apportare modifiche al dispositivo e al seguente
manuale senza preavviso allo scopo di migliorarne le caratteristiche
3. DICHIARAZIONE DI CONFORMITÀ CE
Moretti S.p.A. dichiara sotto la sua esclusiva responsabilità che il prodotto fabbricato, immesso in
commercio dalla stessa Moretti S.p.A. e facente parte della famiglia delle imbracature è conforme
alle disposizioni applicabili della direttiva 93/42/CEE sui dispositivi medici e successive modifiche
A tal scopo Moretti S.p.A. garantisce e dichiara sotto la propria esclusiva responsabilità quanto
segue:
1. I dispositivi in oggetto soddisfano i requisiti essenziali richiesti dall’allegato I della direttiva
93/42/CEE e successive modifiche come prescritto dall’allegato VII della suddetta direttiva
2. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO STRUMENTI DI MISURA
3. I dispositivi in oggetto NON SONO DESTINATI AD INDAGINI CLINICHE
4. I dispositivi in oggetto vengono commercializzati in confezione NON STERILE
5. I dispositivi in oggetto sono da considerarsi come appartenenti alla classe I
6. NON È CONSENTITO utilizzare e/o installare i dispositivi in oggetto al di fuori della
destinazione d’uso prevista dalla Moretti S.p.A.
7. Moretti S.p.A. mantiene e mette a disposizione delle Autorità Competenti la documentazione
tecnica comprovante la conformità alla Direttiva 93/42/CEE e successive modifiche

4. AVVERTENZE GENERALI
• Per un utilizzo corretto del dispositivo fare riferimento attentamente al seguente manuale
• Per un utilizzo corretto del dispositivo consultare sempre il vostro medico o terapista
• Il prodotto deve essere sanificato prima dell’eventuale riutilizzo
• La vita utile del dispositivo è determinata dall’usura di parti non riparabili e/o sostituibili

installate l’imbracatura e seguire scrupolosamente le indicazioni riportate
• In caso di uso di imbracature con un carico massimo differente da quello previsto per
il sollevatore o metti in piedi utilizzare sempre il carico massimo più basso
5. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
Le imbracature per sollevamalati hanno caratteristiche standard e sostengono tutto il corpo
compresa la testa. Adatte a tutte le situazioni più comuni di sollevamento. Sono realizzate in
tessuto di poliestere (100%), adatte al contatto anche con acqua, cucite con filo di poliestere, af-
fidabili in ogni situazione anche a contatto con l’acqua, antistrappo e altamente traspiranti. Una
robusta cinghia spinata (100% nylon) orla le imbracature e forma, ad ogni estremità, un occhiello
con tre diversi punti di aggancio per assicurare la simmetria durante il sollevamento. La cinghia
è continua e cucita su tutto il perimetro delle imbracature al fine di garantire maggiore tenacità.
Le cuciture vengono eseguite utilizzando filo poliestere ad alta resistenza.
Il modello RP888 ha il poggiatesta rigido per un maggior confort durante il trasferimento.

6. PRIMA DI OGNI USO
Verificare sempre il perfetto stato di integrità dell’imbracatura controllando in modo particolare
le cuciture e gli occhielli di posizionamento.
7. AVVERTENZE PER L'UTILIZZO
- Prima dell’utilizzo assicurarsi che il dispositivo non sia danneggiato: il tessuto, la cinghia, le
cuciture e gli occhielli di sospensione devono essere integri.
- Ispezionare periodicamente per verificare eventuali segni di danno, usura o potenziale
cedimento almeno ogni 6 mesi, soprattutto se la pulizia avviene con maggiore frequenza ri
spetto al normale.
- Accertarsi che gli occhielli dell’imbracatura siano agganciati adeguatamente al bilanciere.
- Conservare e utilizzare lontano da fiamme libere e fonti di calore.
- Non superare la portata massima.
• Consultare sempre il manuale d’uso del sollevamalati o metti in piedi sul quale
installate l’imbracatura e seguire scrupolosamente le indicazioni riportate
• Effettuare una valutazione del rischio al fine di garantire che per il paziente sia
utilizzata un’unità di sostegno del corpo di dimensioni, tipo e forma corretti. Per
un elenco completo delle imbracature disponibili fare riferimento al catalogo MORETTI
• In caso di uso di imbracature con un carico massimo differente da quello previsto per
il sollevatore o metti in piedi utilizzare sempre il carico massimo più basso
8. MODALITÀ D'USO
Le imbracature della linea Mopedia® by Moretti sono adatte ad essere utilizzate su sollevatori
fissi e mobili.

8.1 Da seduti
1. Accertarsi che le cinghie siano rivolte verso l'esterno, dopodiché far scivolare l'imbracatura
dietro la schiena del paziente, lasciando l'apertura dell'imbracatura alla base della colonna vertebrale.
2. Assicurarsi che l'imbracatura sia ben allineata all'altezza delle spalle. (Fig.1)
3. Sollevare una gamba del paziente, fare passare la cinghia sotto la gamba quindi tirarla fuori tra
le gambe, facendo attenzione che l'imbracatura non si pieghi sotto la coscia. (Fig.2)
4. Ripetere la procedura per l'altra gamba.
5. Incrociare le fasce sopra le gambe e fissarle ai ganci anteriori sulla staffa del sollevatore.
6. Alzare leggermente il sollevatore, fissare alla staffa le fasce più corte per le spalle e spostare
il sollevatore verso il paziente. (Fig.3)
ATTENZIONE! Le fasce lunghe sono per le gambe e le fasce corte sono per le spalle

8.2 Da sdraiati
1. Mettere su un fianco il paziente e posizionare l'imbracatura dietro di esso (Fig.4) (facendo attenzione
che l’imbracatura sia appiattita senza pieghe e sia ben allineata all'altezza delle spalle.)
2. Accertarsi che l'apertura dell’ imbracatura sia alla base della colonna vertebrale
3. Far rotolare il paziente sopra l'imbracatura tornando in posizione supina.
4. Incrociare le fasce sotto le gambe del paziente e montare l'imbracatura come illustrato per la
posizione seduta (Fig.2), mantenendo le fasce per le spalle più corte possibile.
5. Adesso potete appendere gli occhielli dell’imbracatura alla staffa (Fig.3).
NOTE: Moretti raccomanda che la movimentazione del paziente sia eseguita da 2 assistenti.
ATTENZIONE! Assicurarsi che la testa del paziente sia sempre sorretta
9. MANUTENZIONE
I dispositivi della linea MOPEDIA by Moretti al momento dell’immissione in commercio sono con-
trollati accuratamente e provvisti di marchio CE.
Per la sicurezza del paziente e del medico si raccomanda di far controllare dal produttore o da un
laboratorio autorizzato, almeno ogni 6 mesi, l’idoneità all’uso del vostro prodotto.
10. PULIZIA E DISINFEZIONE
Lavare in lavatrice o a mano con acqua a una temperatura massima di 30° con saponi o deter-
sivi neutri e delicati.
Precauzioni:
• Usare un detersivo neutro e delicato
• Non usare un autoclave a vapore o a calore per pulire l’imbracatura
• Tenere lontano dalla luce diretta del sole
• Non riscaldare
• Non usare candeggina
• Non stirare
11. CONDIZIONI DI SMALTIMENTO GENERALI
In caso di smaltimento del dispositivo non usare mai i normali sistemi di conferimento dei rifiuti
solidi urbani. Si raccomanda invece di smaltire il dispositivo attraverso le comuni isole ecologiche
comunali per le previste operazioni di riciclo dei materiali utilizzati.

Tutti i prodotti Moretti sono garantiti da difetti di materiale o fabbricazione per un periodo di 2 (due) anni
dalla data di vendita del prodotto, salvo eventuali esclusioni e limitazioni specificate di seguito.Questa
garanzia non è valida in caso di uso improprio, abuso o modifica del prodotto e per la mancata aderenza
alle istruzioni per l’uso. La corretta destinazione d’uso del prodotto è indicata nel manuale d’uso. Moretti
non è responsabile di danni risultanti, di lesioni personali o quant’altro causato o relativo all’installazione
e/o all’uso dell’apparecchiatura non scrupolosamente conforme alle istruzioni riportate nei manuali per
l’installazione, il montaggio e l’uso. Moretti non garantisce i prodotti Moretti contro danni o difetti nelle
seguenti condizioni: calamità naturali, operazioni di manutenzione o riparazione non autorizzate, danni
derivanti da problemi dell’alimentazione elettrica (dove prevista), utilizzo di parti o componenti non
forniti da Moretti, mancata aderenza alle linee guida e istruzioni per l’uso, modifiche non autorizzate,
danni di spedizione (diversa dalla spedizione originale da Moretti), oppure dalla mancata esecuzione
della manutenzione così come indicato nel manuale. Non sono coperti da questa garanzia componenti
usurabili se il danno è da imputarsi al normale utilizzo del prodotto.
14. CLAUSOLE ESONERATIVE
Salvo quanto specificato espressamente in questa garanzia ed entro i limiti di legge, Moretti non offre
nessun’altra dichiarazione, garanzia o condizione, espressa o implicita, comprese eventuali dichiarazioni,
garanzie o condizioni di commerciabilità, idoneità per uno scopo particolare, non violazione e non interferenza.
Moretti non garantisce che l’uso del prodotto Moretti sarà ininterrotto o senza errori. La durata di eventuali
garanzie implicite che possano essere imposte dalle norme di legge è limitata al periodo di garanzia, nei limiti
delle norme di legge. Alcuni stati o paesi non permettono limitazioni sulla durata di una garanzia implicita
oppure l’esclusione o la limitazione di danni accidentali o indiretti in relazione a prodotti per i consumatori.
In tali stati o paesi, alcune esclusioni o limitazioni di questa garanzia possono non applicarsi all’utente. La
presente garanzia è soggetta a variazioni senza preavviso.

1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing a MOPEDIA sling by Moretti S.p.A. product range. This user's manual
provides some suggestions as how to correctly use the product you have chosen and gives some
valuable advice for your safety. Please read through the manual carefully before using the product.
Should you have any queries, please contact your retailer for advice and assistance.
In case of doubts, we recommend to contact the dealer who can help and advice you properly.
2. INTENDED USE
The MOPEDIA by MORETTI slings are designed to transport patient with mobility disease.
• Do not use the product for a purpose not indicated in this manual
• Moretti S.p.A declines all responsibilities for any consequences resulting from an
incorrect use of this product and from unauthorized alteration to the frame of the
product
• The manufacturer reserves the right to change the information contained in this
document without previous notice
3. EC DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
Moretti S.p.A. hereby declares, under its own exclusive responsibility, that the products
manufactured and sold by Moretti S.p.A. and belonging to the antidecubitus cushions category
are in compliance with the applicable provisions outlined in the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/
EEC and further modifications. To this end Moretti S.p.A. guarantees and declares as follows,
under its own responsibility:
1. The devices in question satisfy the essential requirements of Annex I of directive 93/42/ EEC
as prescribed by Annex VII of the above directive
2. The devices in question ARE NOT MEASUREMENT DEVICES
3. The devices in question ARE NOT INTENDED FOR CLINICAL INVESTIGATION
4. The devices in question are sold in NON STERILE packing
5. The devices in question should be considered as belonging to class I

4. GENERAL WARNING
• DO NOT use this product or any available optional equipment without first completely reading
and understanding this instruction manual.
• Advise with physician or therapist to determinate the correct adjustment and the correct use of the sling
• Disinfect the item after every usage
• SERVICE LIFE- the sling use limit is defined by the wear of the parts
• Carefully read the patient lift or stand up lifter manual and follow the instruction
suggested on the same
• In case of use of harnesses with a different maximum load from the one provided for
the lift or stand up lifter, always use the lowest maximum load.

5. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Sling for all kind of patient lift. Made in polyester (100%), especially suitable for water contact,
strong and breathable, sewn with polyester thread. The border is made by a strong ribbon (100%
nylon), which make three eyelets in every extremity to guarantee a perfect balance. The belt
continuos and swen around the entire perimeter of the sling to ensure greater toughness. The
seams are made using high strength polyester yarn.
The RP888 model has the headrest reinforced to increase the head support making the transfer
more confortable.

6. BEFORE USE
Always verify the sling is in perfect condition, carefully check the seams and the loops.
7. USING WARNING
- Before use, make sure the device is not damaged: the tissue, the border, the sewing and
suspension loops must be intact
- Periodically check for any damage or usury, every 6 month at least, in particular if you often
clean the sling
- Ensure the loops are correctly hooked to the cradle
- Store and use away from flame or source of heat
- Do not exceed the maximum load

• Evaluate the risk, in order to guarantee the exact body support unit for the patient,
according to the correct dimensions, typology and shape for him
• In case of use of sling with a different maximum load from the one provided for
the lift or stand up lifter, always use the lowest maximum load
8. HOW TO USE
The MOPEDIA slings by Moretti can fit all kind of patient lift, fixed and movable.

8.1 From a sitting position
1. Ensure that the straps face outward. Pull the sling down until the user's back leaving the
opening of the sling at the base of the spine.
2. Check that the sling is aligned properly at shoulder height. (Fig.1)
3. Lift the patient's leg and slip the strap under it and pull it up between their legs, ensuring that
the sling is not creased under the thigh. (Fig.2)
4. Repeat the procedure with the other leg.
5. Cross the straps over the legs and attach them to the front hooks on the hoist spreader bar.
6. Raise the hoist slightly and attach the shorter, shoulder straps to the spreader bar. Move the
hoist towards the patient while doing this. (Fig.3)
ATTENTION! The long straps are for the legs, and the short ones for the shoulders
8.2 From a lying position
1. Roll the patient aside and position the sling on the bed (Fig.4) (the sling has to be smooth
without any wrinkle and it is aligned properly at shoulder height
2. Make sure that the opening at the bottom of the sling is positioned at the base of the spinal column.
3. Roll the patient on his/her back again (supine position)
4. Cross the bands under the patient's legs and adjust the sling as shown for the sitting position
(Fig.2), maintaining the shoulders’s bands as short as possible.5. You are now ready to
hang the straps to the cradle (Fig.3).
NOTE: Moretti recommends that two assistants (one on each side of the bed) be used when
positioning the patient in a sling.
ATTENTION! Ensure that the patient's head is supported at all times
9. MAINTENANCE
The devices MOPEDIA by MORETTI are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once laun-
ched on the market.
For patient and physician’s safety we recommend to let check the device by the manufacturer or
by laboratory authorized every 6 months.

10. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Machine wash with a gentle cycle, 30°C
• Do not Bleach
• Do not dry clean
• Dry Flat away from direct sunlight
• Tumble dry low
• Do not iron
• Use non-enzyme detergent
• Do not wash with other colors
11. CONDITIONS OF DISPOSAL
In case of disposal don’t use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to
dispose the sling in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.

13. WARRANTY
Moretti products are guaranteed from material or manufacturing faults for 2 years from the
purchasing date, except possible exclusion or restriction as follows. The warranty shall not be
applied in the possible damages caused by improper use, abuse or alteration, and the warranty
will not be valid if the instructions for use are not strictly adhered to.
The correct intended use is specified in this manual.
Moretti is not responsible for consequent damages, personal injuries or whatever caused by or
in relation to wrong installation or improper use.
Moretti warranty does not cover damages resulting from: natural disaster, not authorized
maintenance or repairs , faults caused by problems on electricity supply (when necessary),
use of spare parts not covered by Moretti, improper use, not authorized alteration, shipment
damages (different from original Moretti shipment), or in case of insufficient maintenance as
indicated in the manual.
The warranty doesn’t cover components subject to wear and tear during the correct use of the
device.
14. EXEMPT CLAUSES
Moretti does not offer any other declaration, explicit or implicit warranty or conditions,including
possible declarations, warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a specific purpose, non
infringement and non interference, all but what expressly specified in this warranty. Moretti does not
guarantee the nonstop and faultless usage. The duration of possible implicit warranties which can be
imposed by the law is limited by the warranty period, in the limits of law. Some states or countries
don’t allow limiting the implicit warranty or the exclusion or the limitation for accidental damages.
In such countries, some of those exclusions or limitation may not be applied to the user. The present
warranty may be modified without prior notification.
