Ifthebearingsare“hottothetouch,”thereasoniseitherinsufficientlubricationor
thedrivebeltaretotight.Toadjustorreplacethebelts,loosenthe3/8-inch“pinch”
bolts,oneoneithersideatthefrontofthemotorbaseplate,andthetwo1/2-inch
boltsthatrunverticalatthefrontofthemotorplate.Thisallowsthemotortoberaised
orlowered,looseningthebeltsforreplacementortensioning.Thenraisethemotor
andtightentheboltsafterbeltreplacementortoadjustthetensioning.Itisimportant
thatthetensionisjustenoughtodrivewithoutslipping.Tootightshortensbearinglife,
toolooseshortensbeltlife(DriveBelts:5–3VX375).
CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. WATER SUPPLY: Connectthewatersupplytothe“inlethose(1/2-inch),”openthe
watervalveandmakesurethat“outlet(1/4-inch),”hosesmountedinthebladeguard
arefreeofobstructions.Blowoutthewaterlinesbeforeoperationinfreezingconditions.
2. RAISE/LOWER: BypullingbacktheRaise/Lowerleveramomemtaryswitch
activatesanelectric-over-hydraulicpumptoraisethesaw.Pushtheleverfowardto
lowerthesaw.Youcancontroltheloweringspeedbyopeningthevalvegradually.For
adjustingthehandleassembly,seeaccompanyinginstructions.
3. SPEED CONTROL: TheForward/Reverseleverdeterminesforwardandreverse
speeds,witha“neutral”dynamicbrakepositioninbetween.Bypushingthespeed
controlleverfoward,thesawwillmoveforwardatvariablespeed,pullingthelever
backdoesthesameinreverse.
4. BLADE FITTING: Raisethesawtoaccommodateyourchoiceofblades,12”to24”
Liftoffthebladeguardwithengineoff.Removethespindlenutwiththespindlenut
wrenchprovidedwiththesawandthentheouterbladecollar.Inspectbothcollarsso
theywillseatflushwithblade.Placebladeonspindleshaftandalignwithcollarpinin
innercollar,nowreplaceoutercollarandspindlenut-tightenbystrikingspindlenut
wrenchwithprovidedhammerandfinally,replacebladeguard.IMPORTANT;Referto
blademanufacturerforrpmrecommendationswitheachbladetype/sizeselected.
