01. Introduction
Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing to purchase the MORO-80P loudspeaker.
Engineered for exceptional acoustic properties, sound quality and aesthetics, the
MORO-80P is an elegant Hi-Fi Passive loudspeaker with a unique design that can
easily adapt to any environment.
Extensive tests in the anechoic room and the help from professional musicians
inspired us to develop the MORO-80P, a truly unique product with unrivaled sound
clarity, dynamic response and broad low frequency bass range.
The second order filter and the aluminum cabinet volume have been engineered to
equalize the sound to attenuate annoying middle frequencies for a warm and
pleasant sound.
The solid aluminum made cabinet and all components have been carefully selected
to work perfectly and harmoniously together to give you the best quality sound.
Your MORO-80P is rated at 80W RMS Output Power providing great bass
response and powerful sound indoors or outdoors, together with 360 degree
sound for ambience for an extraordinary experience.

02. Unpacking your speaker
- Carefully unpack your speaker and save all packing materials for possible future
use.
- Do not attempt to use your speaker if any components appear damaged or
missing.
- To lift the speaker, please grip it at the center of the tube.
- When handling your speaker make sure to take it with a soft cloth in order to
avoid marks or scratches on the finish.
WARNING: To avoid danger of suffocation, keep plastic bags out of the reach of
children.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR RECORDS:
Write down on this page all your speaker data.
The Serial Number is located on the bottom of the speaker.
We suggest you keep your sales receipt and warranty card together with this
owner’s guide.

03. Selecting the location for your speakers
Before installing, carefully decide where to position the speakers.
The MORO-80P provides 360-degree sound so you will have the same amount of
sound pressure wherever you place them.
STABILITY:
- The area where the loudspeaker is to be placed must be absolutely flat and level.
- Do not place the loudspeaker on a slope or inclined surface.
- The speakers are suitable for any even surface.
- Always Install the speakers in order to guarantee their stability considering the
effects from hits, wind and any other event.
- In indoor applications; a suitable location where you should place the speakers
are at the corners of your room.
- In order to avoid damages to people or things, evaluate if the floor surface is flat
and even enough before placing the speaker.
- In case of wood flooring, place three foam discs under the brass spikes to avoid
scratches.
- Place your speakers where the speaker cord cannot be tripped over, pinched, or
pulled.
- Position or hide the cables in order to avoid damages.

PROTECTION:
- Install always the speaker under cover against the rain.
- Do not place your speaker in an area where water tends to collect.
- Do not cover the air opening under the speaker.
- Do not cover the grid area where the air should come out.
CONFIGURATION:
- Keep at least 1.5m away from the loudspeaker all the devices (LCD, TV, PC
Monitors, DVD…) sensitive to the static magnetic field produced by the speakers.
- For a STEREO configuration, place the two speakers 2.50m distance minimum
from each other in order to get the best stereo effects.
- For a SURROUND or a Theater configuration, you need from 4 to n speakers, all
2.5m minimum distance from each other.

04. Connections
CHOOSING THE SPEAKER CORD (not included)
- Calculate the lenght of your cables from the amplifier.
- Use a cable designed for speakers with 2.5 mm² section.
CONNECTING TO THE AMPLIFIER
- Please read, understand and follow all instructions carefully before installing and
using this loudspeaker.
- Before making any connection, turn off your amplifier and unplug it from the AC
power (mains) outlet.
- Prepare the speaker cord. Speaker cord consists of two insulated wires. Usually
one is ribbed or red (+), and the other plain or black (–).
- Connect the speaker cord to the speakers. Connect the positive wire to the
positive (red) connector on the loudspeaker; Connect the negative (black) wire to
the negative (black) connector on the loudspeaker.
- Connect the speaker cord to the amplifier. Connect the speakers on the left side
of the listening area to the left channel of your amplifier. Attach the positive
(ribbed) wire to the red (+) terminal. Attach the negative (plain) wire to the black
(–) terminal. Connect the speaker on the right side of the listening area to the right
channel of your amplifier, as above.
- At the bottom of the speaker you can find two gold plated binding posts: RED (+)
and BLACK (GND or -).

- Use always an audio amplifier with maximum 150W RMS Output Power per
channel.
- If you drive the speakers with a weak amplifier, you won’t get the best potential
from them and further distortion from related clipping can happen. Clipping effect
can damage the speaker as well.
- Before turning the amplifier on, check carefully if there is any short circuit
between the two binding posts caused by the wires and be sure the binding posts
are clamped enough.
- Don’t even invert the polarity of the cables along all the acoustic chain: Source,
Mixer, Amplifier, Loudspeakers.
- Remember to turn on always the source/mixer before the amplifier in order to
damage the speakers and vice-versa when turning off.

05. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Do not expose the speaker to water or place on water.
- Do not direct microphones toward the speakers as this could cause the Larsen
Effect (acoustic feedback) which would damage the loudspeaker.
- Never use chemical agents to clean the equipment because this will damage the
external finish or paint.
- To clean your speaker use a dry, soft cloth dampened in mild detergent and water
to remove dust or dirt.
- Never use alcohol or other solvents to clean any part of the speaker.
- Clean the protection mesh inside the grid when it becomes dirty.
- If you want to paint the loudspeaker, use aluminum paints.
- Do not remove the top lid and don’t let inexperienced people to use or open the
loudspeaker.
- Do not put the loudspeaker near heat sources or open flames to not damage the
paint.
- When transporting use original packaging.
- Use only original spare parts with the same properties.

06. TROUBLESHOOTING
ISSUE:
You can’t hear any sound
No sound from one loudspeaker
Distortion from one loudspeaker
Not enough low or high frequencies
POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
- Be sure both the source and the
amplifier are plugged to the socket and
they are powered on.
- Be sure the socket is working properly.
- Check if any headphone is connected.
- Check if the MUTE function is on.
- Verify if all the connections are correct.
- Check if the balance control on the
amplifier is on the central position.
- Check if the amplifier/Speaker cable is
broken. Try changing this cable with a
new one or swap the loudspeaker.
- Connect the bad loudspeaker to the good
channel. If you still get the issue it means
the loudspeaker is broken otherwise one
channel of the amplifier is broken.
- Verify tone controls on the amplifier.
- Check if the phase of the connections are
correct (Red + with Red + and Black - with
Black -).

All MORO products are covered under 2 years manufacturer warranty from the
date of purchase.
In case of malfunction of the loudspeaker please refer to the troubleshooting
section in this guide or contact MORO ITALY for technical assistance writing to
IF YOUR PRODUCT IS UNDER WARRANTY AND FAILS WITHIN THE
WARRANTY PERIOD
- Have your proof of purchase / sales receipt and warranty card available.
- Delivery costs of the faulty goods to MORO’s service centre based in Italy will be
paid by the customer. (or to the nearest country dealer if outside of Italy).
- MORO ITALY will assist the customer with transportation and freight of your
faulty goods to the MORO ITALY service centre.
- There will be no charge for parts and labour if the unit has failed under normal
operating conditions whilst it is under warranty.
- A one off service / intervention fee is applicable. Email us for further information.
- Delivery costs involved with sending the repaired goods back to the customer
will be covered by MORO ITALY (or nearest country dealer if outside of Italy).

07. WARRANTY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

GOODS REQUIRING REPAIR AND SHIPPING PROCEDURES
The customer is required to contact the retail outlet were the goods were
purchased from in the first instance. The retail outlet is then required to contact us
where we will supply / issue an authorisation return number prior to any goods
being returned to MORO ITALY service centre.
- The goods being returned must be appropriately packed for transport and if
possible in the original box.
- MORO ITALY will co-ordinate the return of the goods with the customer and
support the customer with the transportation of the goods back to the service
centre.
Note: An RA number must be issued prior to any warranty claims if no RA number
is issued by MORO ITALY your warranty repair claim may not be accepted.
When an RA is issued the customer will be able to send the goods to MORO ITALY
with the warranty coupon, the original proof of purchase / Invoice and one sheet
with the following indications:
- Customer’s name
- Telephone number & area code
- Details / Description of problem on the device
- Tax Invoice / Proof or purchase

consequence deriving from improper use, typical daily use, not authorized
modifies, inappropriate use, exposure of the product to not suitable environmental
conditions, accidents or any other use of the product different from what is
specified in this user manual.

09. Important Information and Disposal
The Rohs symbol underneath the loudspeaker means MORO products and its parts
must not be disposed with normal household wastage but they must be collected
and disposed of separately to protect the environment.
This symbol on the product and on its packaging means that they both have not be
treated as household waste. They must be handed over to the applicable collection
point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Recycling these
materials, You will help both to conserve natural resources and to prevent
potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
