Mountain Buggy DOUBLE CARRYCOT User manual

These instructions are for the Double Carrycot, which fits the following
model strollers:
Te r rain Double - T2204 Terrain Triple - T3204 Urban Double - U2204
DOUBLE CARRYCOT INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT, KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

WARNING
•Do not use this Carrycot until you have read and
understood the instructions!
•Carrycot is suitable for newborn baby to 6 months,or
until baby can sit up unaided.
•Before placing baby into position check that the
Carrycot is secure and will not tip or fall.
•Baby must not be in the Carrycot when it is being
fastened or removed from the stroller frame.
•The depth from the top of the mattress to the top of
the side of the Carrycot at, or at any position within,
300mm/11.8in from the harness attachment points,
should not be reduced to less than 140mm/5.5in when
the mattress is in position. Mattresses purchased
separately should conform to BS1877 part 10.
•Do not use accessories not designed for your stroller
as they might be unsafe.
•Do not use the Carrycot to transport children in a
motor vehicle.
•Never leave your child unattended.
•The Sunhood and Seat(s) need to be removed from stroller
before fitting Carrycot(s). To fit one Carrycot,remove one seat.
To fit twoCarrycots, remove two seats.
•Store items removed in a dry safe place.
Removing Seat
STAGE 1
Pull support wire out of
Sunhood joint A. This
operation is child proof and
therefore requires a degree of
force. To assist in pulling
support wire out, push
against buggy frame with
other hand B.
Repeat step (1) on other
side.
Unfasten sunhood fabric
from stroller frame and seat
near handle bar.

Sunhood Joint
• Carrycot(s) can be fitted onto stroller frame onto left and/or right side(s)
of stroller, but not in middle of triple stroller.
• If fitting two Carrycots remove left and right seats.If fitting one Carrycot
decide before removing seats which side of stroller you want Carrycot
fitted to.
• Left and right are determined when standing behind stroller in pushing
position.
Unfasten seat from frame along side tubes and centre bar.
On Urban model, unfasten strap underneath seat at point A.
Push seat forward, then slide fabric off seat support wire.
Remove seat support wire from stroller frame at B,C,D &E.

STAGE 2
•To position Carrycot onto right side of stroller, put Snap Locks onto
right side of Carrycot and Sliding Plate onto left. To position Carrycot
onto left side of stroller, put Snap Locks onto left side of Carrycot and
Sliding Plate onto right.
•Left and right are determinded when standing at base of Carrycot,
looking into Carrycot Sunhood.
1Place one of the Snap Locks
over hole A. Make sure it is aligned
correctly with the hole in Carrycot.
Using Allen key, rotate screw
in Snap Lock in a clockwise
direction until screw is tight. Snap
Lock is firmly attached to Carrycot,
but can still rotate.

Fitting Snap Locks to Carrycot
2 x Cover
Buttons
Repeat steps 1 & 2 to fit Snap Lock to hole C.
Place one of the screws and cover buttons into hole B. Using Allen
Key rotate screw in a clockwise direction until screw is tight.

Repeat steps 1 & 2 to fit Snap Lock to hole B.
Place one of the screws and cover buttons into hole C. Using Allen
Key rotate screw in a clockwise direction until screw is tight.

Fitting Carrycot to Frame
When placing Carrycot, ensure
front end of Carrycot is
vertically above footplate within
shaded zone shown.
Push Snap Locks firmly into position, so they butt up to joints indicated
in the diagram above for your model.

Removing Carrycot from Frame
Open the 2 Snap Locks and lift Carrycot off buggy frame.
“CLICK”
•Follow instructions for your model STAGE 3
Ensure Snap Locks are rotated so
screw holes are on top.

Fitting Sliding Plate to Carrycot
•Position Sliding Plate on the other side of Carrycot.
•Sliding Plate uses holes A & C in side of Carrycot, hole B is not
required.
•There are 4 screw holes in Sliding Plate. Using diagrams below locate
which two holes are required for your model stroller.
Align hole 1 of Sliding Plate with hole A of Carrycot. Align hole 2 of
Sliding Plate with hole C of Carrycot.
Place screws into holes 1 & 2. Using Allen Key rotate screws in a
clockwise direction until both screws are tight.

Align hole 1 of Sliding Plate with hole A of Carrycot. Align hole 3 of
Sliding Plate with hole C of Carrycot.
Place screws into holes 1 & 3. Using Allen Key rotate screws in a
clockwise direction until both screws are tight.
WARNING
Using theAllen Key,check that the Snap Locks and Sliding
Plate are firmly tightened,and they will not separate from
Carrycot.

Place Carrycot between
side tube and centre bar of
stroller.
Locate centre bar lug.
Slide the Sliding Plate on Carrycot down the
centre bar of frame until groove in Sliding Plate locks
onto centre bar lug at point Z.

Open both Snap Locks by lifting levers up.4

TERRAIN - Place Snap Lock X
directly above sunhood joint.
URBAN - Place Snap Lock Y
directly above tube joint.
Close the Snap Locks down flat, making sure your hear the lock “click”
indicating they are fully locked.
To fit a second Double carrycot onto Double or Triple stroller, follow
instructions for stages 2 & 3 again.

WARNING
•Check Carrycot is horizontal and is located correctly
onto stroller frame. Refer back to diagrams for your
model to ensure positioning of Snap Locks and Sliding
Plate are correct.
•Check Snap Locks are closed and firmly attached to
frame and Carrycot will not tip or fall.
•Do not use Carrycot if you are unable to secure. In this
case, contact store where stroller was purchased or
distributor for your country, for more help.
•Always remove Carrycot(s) before collapsing buggy!
