
4. CALIBRATION
1) Press the " ON/OFF button " ( 3-1, Fig. 1 ) to
power on the sound level calibrator.
2) If the calibrated " SOUND LEVEL METER " used the 1/2"
microphone, then on the " Couple Section " (3-4, Fig. 1)
should install the " 1/2" Mic. Adapter " (3-6, Fig. 1) first.
Consideration :
If the calibrated " SOUND LEVEL METER " used the 1 inch
microphone, then on the " Couple Section " (3-4, Fig. 1)
should take away the " 1/2" Mic. Adapter ".
3) Press the " Level select button " ( 3-2, Fig. 1 ) to
select the sound level calibrator output level ( 94, 104, 114 dB).
REMARK :
the function can support check sound lever meter Linearity.
4) Press the " Frequency select button " ( 3-3, Fig. 1 ) to
select the sound level calibrator output Frequency.
at 94 dB can select 4 kind frequency 1KHz ,500 Hz ,250 Hz ,125 Hz .
at 104 and 114 dB can select 1 kind frequency 1KHz only
REMARK :
the function can support check sound lever meter
frequency weighting response.
5) Insert the microphone of calibrated " SOUND LEVEL
METER " carefully all the way into the couple section of
the Sound Calibrator. (Refer to Fig. 2).
4) Set the calibrated " SOUND LEVEL METER " to a
range suitable for measuring " 94 dB ", then check the sound
level meter reading value is 94 dB or not .
A pure 1 KHz tone is produced.
