SUBJECT: ACCORDIA® Window Shade System C eaning and Maintenance
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS (INNER AND OUTER LENS)
The Inner lens has a scratch resistant finish. Because of this aterial’s
surface, avoid the use of abrasive cleaners and/or cleaning i ple ents
that ay ar or gouge the coating.
CLEANING TO MINIMIZE SCRATCHING
Moisten soft, non-abrasive lint free cloth sparingly with Glass Plus or
co patible cleaner. Apply oistened cloth to lens. This will ini ize
liquid accu ulation on the lens surface. Excess liquid ay otherwise
enter the fra e lens seal and cause water spotting to the ask. Dry
thoroughly with a cha ois or oist cellulose sponge to prevent water
spots.
Some Important “DON’TS”:
1. DO NOT spray or apply cleaner directly to lens, to avoid cleaner over
spray getting on other co ponents of the shade, or liquid seeping under
the seals.
2. DO NOT clean in hot sun or at elevated te peratures.
3. DO NOT use abrasive or highly alkaline cleaners on lenses.
4. DO NOT use caustic solutions such as benzene, gasoline, acetone,
M.E.K. or carbon tetrachloride on lens. Although several commercia y
avai ab e cleaning agents such as Windex or Glass Plus are accepted
for cleaning Lexan enses, any cleaner containing a onia could be
har ful to custo er-plated fra es, which so eti es have a clear coat.
Care should be taken in this case.
