Subject: BIC Ice Shaver Gasket Replacement
8. Using a Phillips head screwdriver remove the four (4)
screws that secure the ice bin to the condensate bowl.
9. Carefully remove the ice bin using caution not to lose
or damage the micro switch push rod. Use caution not
to lose any of the three (3) ice bin grommets attached
to the base of the ice bin bowl.
10. With the ice bowl removed, wash, rinse and sanitize the
condensate bowl.
11. Remove the shaver gasket. You may find the gasket
adhered to the bottom of the ice bin or the top of the
dispense area cover.
12. Clean all surfaces where the previous gasket made contact.
13. Dry the ice chute cartridge surface and the top of the
dispense area cover. These are the contact points for
the shaver gasket.
14. Remove adhesive cover from one side of the new
shaver gasket and firmly adhere to the top of the
dispense area cover.
NOTE: Ensure the gasket does not block any of the ice
chute opening.
,CAUTION
Be careful not to damage push rod when reinstalling the ice bin.
Push rod should be carefully inserted into bottom of ice bin
15. Remove adhesive cover from other side of gasket
16. Reinstall the ice bin to the condensate bowl using the
four (4) screws.
NOTE: Use caution not to damage the push rod.
17. Wash, rinse, and sanitize the ice bin.
18. Wash, rinse and sanitize the ice shelf, ice auger, ice
auger nut, ice bin lid and ice assist bar.
19. Reinstall the ice auger, ice auger nut, ice shelf and ice
assist bar.
20. Fill the ice bin with ice.
NOTE: Never use bagged ice in the BIC unit.
21. Install ice bin lid. Make sure ice bin lid is pressed down
completely.
22. Plug unit IN and power ON using switch on LEFT side of
unit.
CONFIRM OPERATION
23. Make several drinks and confirm operation with manager.
