This device has a rechargeable battery. It must be fully charged before
first use.
NOTE: Charge the battery of the device every 2–3 month if it is not used!
Turn OFF nearby Bluetooth devices to avoid signal interference!

Charging
The battery must be fully charged before first use (~4–4.5 hours).
Use the supplied Micro USB charging cable (see BT-X31 overview
[9]) for charging. We recommend, charge the battery at least every
2–3 months, even if the BT-X31 is not used.
The On/Off button lights up RED during charging. When the BT-X31
is fully charged, the RED charging indicator turns off. The BT-X31
has a duration of ~3.5–6.5 hours. It turns off automatically at low
battery power.

1 Treble control Set treble (+ more) / (– less)
2 Bass control Set bass (+ more) / (– less)
3 On-/Off- Button
Press the On/Off button shortly to Power On/Off the
BT-X31. The button lights up BLUE when the BT-X31
is powered on. At the same time Bluetooth is
activated. In the Bluetooth settings of your mobile
device (e.g. Smartphone, Tablet, PC) the Bluetooth
pairing name “Musicman BT-X31” will appear. Now
the BT-X31 is ready for pairing.
4 Echo control Set echo effect (+ more echo) / (– less echo)
5 Music volume
control
Increase (+) or decrease (–) the volume of the music
which is played. Is the control set to Off (total to –)
the music is muted.
6 Microphone
volume control
Increase (+) or decrease (–) the volume of the MIC.
Is the control set to Off (total to –) the microphone is
muted.
7 USB connection Connect a USB stick (formated in FAT 32) to play
music (MP3/WAV file format).
8 Micro USB
connection
Charge the BT-X31 via the Micro USB connection.
This connector also connects external audio devices
via the supplied audio cable.
9 Speaker
The volume of the BT-X31 can not only be adjusted
by button (5), but also from your mobile device
(Smartphone, Tablet, PC), from which music is
played.

Microphone Note: To get the best sound quality it is important to hold the BT-X31 close (max. 5cm) in front of your
mouth and nearly in vertical position.
11 Android or iOS

The BT-X31 automatically recognizes the operation
system which is connected. If it is not working, you
can manually chose the right system.

Back Button By pressing the Back button while playing a playlist,
you can go back to the last played song.

Play / Pause
Button
Press the Play/Pause button to play music.
While playing music, this button is used as a
Stop/Pause button.
Note: This button only works when you are
connected to a Bluetooth device (e.g. Smartphone)
and music is played.

Forth Button By pressing this button you can go to the next song,
while playing music from a playlist.

Use with Bluetooth
Turn on the BT-X31. Press the On/Off button shortly. When the
On/Off button lights up BLUE, the microphone is in the operating
mode. Connect the microphone with your Bluetooth device (e.g.,
Smartphone, Tablet, PC). Go to settings and scan for new devices in
your Smartphone. The name of the Karaoke BT-X31 "Musicman
BT-X31" appears, you have to select it. After successful Bluetooth
pairing, you hear a signal from the microphone of the BT-X31.
Note: This setting is saved and the BT-X31 automatically connects
itself to the last connected Bluetooth device (Smartphone, etc.)
when you power it on the next time.
Now you can use the BT-X31. Search for Karaoke songs. You can
find them for free in the internet or on Youtube, or download Karaoke
APPs from third parties like the Google Play Store or Apple APP
Store. Now you can read the the lyrics easily from your Smartphone
display and start singing the song. We wish you a lot of fun !
Note: To get the best sound quality it is important to hold the BT-X31

Use with Micro USB audio cable
You can also connect the BT-X31 with your mobile device (e.g.
Smartphone, Tablet, PC, etc.) with the supplied USB Micro Audio
cable. Then open any Karaoke APP of your choice or alternatively
Youtube.
Note: Third party Karaoke APPs are either for free, or you are
charged. Search in the Google Play Store or Apple APP Store for
them (searching words: sing, Karaoke, etc.). Select a song and you
can start singing directly. The BT-X31 CANNOT do any recordings
by itself. Depending on the loaded APP, recordings on your mobile
device could be an option. When using the Micro USB audio
cable, the Bluetooth connection of the same mobile device (e.g.
Smartphone, Tablet, PC, etc.) is automatically disconnected.

Use with an USB flash drive
You have the possibility to connect a removable storage memory via
USB and playback songs from it. Format the USB disk (max. 32GB)
to FAT32. Example: Removable memory USB disk.
Note: You need to access the song lyrics elsewhere (e.g. print
them out from the Internet) When using the USB port, the
Bluetooth connection of the same mobile device (e.g. Smartphone,
Tablet, PC, etc.) is automatically disconnected.

Troubleshooting
The Karaoke BT-X31 powers Off or does not turn On again 
could be either a low battery or a problem with the power supply 
charge the BT-X31 and check the connection of the Micro-USB
cable.
The microphone does not play the voice could be that the
volume of the microphone is too low turn on or adjust the volume
of the microphone (Button 6) or change the position of BT-X31 head
to mouth.
No Echo effect could be that the Echo effect is too low turn
on or adjust the volume of the Echo effect (Button 4).
Noises are heard from the BT-X31 could be a poor Bluetooth
signal to aviod noise, stay within the Bluetooth range of ~8m.
No Bluetooth connection could be (a) the Bluetooth connection
is not in range, or (b) another mobile device (e.g. Smartphone,
Tablet) is paired with the BT-X31 (a) shorten the range to the
Smartphone, or (b) unpair the other device.

Warnings
If the BT-X31 does not turn on after switching it on, or it turns off
after turning it on, check whether the battery is fully charged. If it is
OFF power, get it fully charged and try again later. (We suggest
charging the BT-X31 all 2-3 month if it is not used for a long time.)
Only charge the BT-X31 through the DC 5V Micro USB port by
using the provided original Micro USB charging cable. You also can
use an USB charging adapter but ONLY (!) up to DC 5V/500mA. Do
not (!) charge the BT-X31 with more power! When the BT-X31
works under AUX–IN mode, do not (!) increase the volume of your
mobile phone, PC, MP3/MP4 Player, CD, DVD etc. to a large
extend. A sound distortion may occur. In that case, decrease volume
either of mobile phone, PC, MP3/MP4 Player, CD, DVD or the
BT-X31. The sound gets normal soon. If the BT-X31 fails to link to
your mobile device or if it fails to play music after being connected,
the user shall check if your mobile device supports A2DP. Do not
attempt to disassemble the BT-X31, it may result in short-circuit or
even damage. Do not drop or shake the BT-X31, it may break
internal circuit boards or mechanics. Keep the BT-X31 in dry and
ventilated environment. Avoid high humidity and high temperature.
Also batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat or direct
sunlight. This BT-X31 is not water resistant; therefore keep it away
from moisture. Keep the BT-X31 away from little children.
Hints for Environment Protection: Packages
materials are raw materials and can be recycled. Do
not disposal old devices or batteries into the domestic
waste. Cleaning: Protect the device from
contamination and pollution (use a clean drapery).
Avoid using rough, coarse-grained materials or
solvents/aggressive cleaner. Wipe the cleaned device
