Transport and storage
Transport
Before transporting the device, proceed as follows:
●Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
●Empty and clean the water tank.
●Prior to every transport check whether the parts
of the device are firmly interconnected.
●Lift the device only from the water tank part.
Storage
Please note! The plants can be separated from the
Naava only for a very limited time. Plants will dry to
death without the care of the Naava wall, or another
constant suitable source of water.
Empty and clean the water tank prior to storage and
reusing. We recommend a thorough cleaning of your
Naava before storing the unit. Please make sure that all
components are clean and dry prior to storing them. Do
not leave water in the water tank when storing. Water left
in the Naava may leave mineral deposits and allow
unwanted microorganisms to grow.
When the device is not being used, observe the following
storage conditions:
●Dry.
●Protected from dust and direct sunlight.
●With a cover to protect it from invasive dust, if
necessary.
Filling the tank with water
Before filling the water tank, make sure that the Naava is
at the final installation location. Never move the Naava
with a water tank full.
Fill the water tank of the Naava with clean tap water
using a hose or watering cans or other suitable
containers. The temperature of the water should be
between +17°C and +25°C. (+62°F to +77°F.)
Stop the filling of the water tank when the water reaches
a level of about 5cm/2” from the top of the water
container.
Fill the Naava Water tank only through the Water Fill
Hole.
Installing the biofilters*
* Naava Green wall does not function as intended without
the use of biofilters.
Before installing biofilters make sure the Naava is at the
final installation location and Naava is filled with water.
Start installing the biofilters from the top down. This
reduces the possibility that the plants at lower parts of
Naava are not filled with the possible dropping growth
medium components.
Biofilter pot
K. Plant
L. Seal
M. Biofilter Pot
When installing, carefully check that there is nothing in
between the seal and the pot or in between the pot and
the frame. The pots can leak water and air if there is
anything in between these parts and the Naava effect
might not be maximized.
The seal should not be twisted.

Version 1.9.1

14
Installing the biofilters
1. Insert the biofilter in angle to the biofilter hole.
2. Turn the biofilter clockwise to an upright
position.
3. The biofilter is correctly installed when upright.
Use both hands when twisting the biofilter pots.
Dracaenas are used on the bottom part of the Naava and
philodendrons are used on the top.
Note! Be careful when handling the biofilters, the Naava
Smart Growth Medium can easily fall from the pot. If the
pot is not full of Smart Growth Medium, fill the pot now.
All biofilter pots must be tightened to place.
Ensure Naava Pots are properly sealed. If not properly
sealed they may leak water, which can cause water
damage to floors or surrounding areas.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any concerns about the
installation.
Using the appliance
Putting into operation
NOTE! Naava needs to be properly installed and filled
with water, each opening in the front panel must have a
biofilter before the Naava is put into operation.

Clean the frame.
Clean the LED lamp.
Prune the plants.
Clean the plants.
Add nutrients.
Twice a year
Clean the water tank.
Filling the tank
Fill the tank with fresh, room-temperature drinking
water. The time of the year, air temperature, and air
quality affect the water consumption of your Naava,
therefore monitor the water consumption and add water
as needed. There should always be at least 15cm/6" of
water in the tank. Stop the filling up when the water
reaches a level of about 5cm/2” from the top of the water
tank. Make sure no water ends up on the floor.
Do not overfill the water tank!
Checking the bottom and backside of
Naava
Regularly check Naava bottom and backside for possible
hidden surprises such as water been condensed or
splashed on the floor or backside. If you find any, please
remove them.
Observing the plant condition
Your Naava contains live plants. All live plants might get
pests from various sources. Inspect your Naava for
possible pests and remove them if found. If some of your
biofilter plants reach the end of their life, you can buy
spare biofilter plants from Naava.
Cleaning the frame
Clean the device with a soft, damp, and lint-free cloth.
Ensure that no moisture enters the frame. Do not use
abrasive
cleaners or cleaning methods.
Cleaning the LED lamp
Clean the lamp with a soft, damp, and lint-free cloth.
Ensure that no moisture enters the housing. Do not use
abrasive
cleaners or cleaning methods.
Cleaning the water tank
Empty the water tank. Remove all extra material from the
water tank (such as plant parts, growth media, etc). Clean
the tank inside with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth. Do not
use cleaners or abrasive cleaning methods. Fill in the tank
after cleaning. (instructions above: Filling the tank).
Tipping hazard! Naava is not intended to be
installed water tank empty
The cleaning of the water tank needs to be done by a
minimum of two persons. The other supporting and
observing the Naava stay upright.
Pruning the plants
Prune the plants frequently to make sure each plant has
space and the strongest plants will not take space from
weaker plants. This way it will be ensured that all the
biofilters will work properly. Make sure you are using the
right pruning method for each plant species.
Cleaning the plants
Clean the plants with a soft, damp, and lint-free cloth or
paper by gently wiping the surface of the leaves. Keep
your other hand underneath the leaf and wipe against it,
but don’t use much force to prevent damages to the plant.
If there is only a minor amount of loose dust, it can be

removed with a duster. Remove trash, dirt, soil, and dead
plant parts from the plants.
Adding nutrients
Use the nutrients and their dosing according to Naava’s
recommendations. Use only Naava Growth Formula
fertilizer.
Servicing Your Naava
Naava is intended to be serviced by authorized service
personnel. Do not attempt any repair work. Maintenance
or servicing the Naava, other than described in this user
manual, or installation manuals, should only be done by
