performance in a neat and simple packageforaveryreasonablecost.The
NADPP2isavastlyimprovedsuccessortotheverypopularPP1,arguably the
mostsuccessfuldeviceofitskind. Themostobviousvisibledifferenceisthe
inclusionofahighgainMovingCoilCartridgeinputallowingpropermatching
tovirtuallyanyhighqualityturntable/cartridgecombination. Otherrefine-
mentsincludeagroundingterminalpost,andgoldplatedinputandoutput
sockets.
Theperformance of the PP 1 was already to a very high standard in the areas
ofnoise,distortion,andRIAAequalizationaccuracy,butwehavemanagedto
improvethesespecificationsstillfurtherbycarefulcircuitlayoutandimproved
closetoleranceparts. Costlymetalfilmresistorsandfilmtypecapacitorsare
usedexclusivelyinthesignalpathtogivebothmeasuredimprovementanda
morerefinedandengaginglisteningexperience. Byincreasingthepowersup-
plyvoltagefrom15voltsto24volts,wehaveimprovedoverloadmargins and
enhancedmusicaldynamics.
BystayingwiththeoriginalPP1concept,andimprovingfunctionalityandper-
formanceevenfurther,NAD'sengineeringteamhasonceagainmanagedto
givemusicloversanevenbetterproductatatruly amazing price.
