Hiperwall Quick Start
1. Network Configuration
Configure DHCP server, static addressing recommendedfor most
nodes
Configure switch to enable IGMP snooping and IGMP querier
Turn OFF Broadcast/Packet Storm protection
Turn OFF CPU protection, if any
Optionally connect switch to a router
Confirm that all nodes are connected at 1Gbps speed
2. Control Node Installation
Set static IP address
Install QuickTime for Windows (http://quicktime.apple.com)
Install Google Earth (http://earth.google.com)
Install VNC Server (http://www.realvnc.com/products/free/4.1)
Run Hiperwall Control Node Setup
3. Display Node Installation
Install VNC Server (http://www.realvnc.com/products/free/4.1).
Set VNC password and open firewall port.
Verify VNC connectivity from Control Node
Set static IP address
Name Display Nodes according to A1, A2… naming scheme
(recommended)
Install QuickTime for Windows (http://quicktime.apple.com)
Install Google Earth (http://earth.google.com)
Run Hiperwall Display Node Setup
NOTE: If system uses write-protected flash drives (e.g. EWF), run
EWF utility to commit changes
Reboot Display Node
Enable Wake-On-LAN and Wake-On-LAN from Standby with Magic
Packet
4. Sender Node Installation
Set static IP address for local, permanent sender nodes
DHCP may be used for temporary or remote sender nodes
Name the PC with an appropriate, meaningful name (e.g. Sender1)
Run Hiperwall Sender Node Setup
Copy Sender shortcut to startup folder if desired to automatically
start Sender after each boot
5. Streamer Node Installation
Set static IP address
Name the PC with an appropriate, meaningful name (e.g.
Streamer1)
Run Hiperwall Streamer Node Setup
Copy Streamer shortcut to startup if desired to automatically start
Streamer after each boot
Edit Shortcut to automatically queue up one or more streams
6. Secondary Control Node Installation
Set static IP address
Run Hiperwall Secondary Control Node Setup
Copy Secondary Control Node shortcut to startup folder if desired
to automatically start Secondary Control after each boot
7. System Configuration
Start Control Node Software
System will automatically display settings dialog box
Enter all appropriate system settings and save
Hiperwall system is now ready for use
