Overview
This document explains how to use a Nectar Pacer MIDI Foot Controller with the Korg Pa2X PRO
76-Key Arranger Keyboard.
You can control the essential Style Elements on the Pa2X remotely by using the Pacer device.

Nektar Pacer DAW Foot Controller Features:
MIDI foot controller for DAWs and guitar processors
10 programmable buttons, with LED indicators for control assignments
24 available presets (Banks A–D, 6 presets each)
Support for 4 programmable external footswitches
Support for 2 programmable external expression pedals
4 programmable relays for switching channels or effects on amplifiers
1 programmable encoder
Footswitches can send up to 6 messages when activated
MIDI Out port for external hardware control
USB class compliant, powered via USB or USB power supply (not included)

The Pacer supports the following Digital Audio Workstations out of the box:
Other DAWs would also work with the Pacer so long they follow the Mackie Control protocol.

Connect the USB 2.0 cable from the Pacer to your Computer.
The device driver will load automatically.
Turn on the Power Switch on the Pacer.
Initial Preset = A1
All the LED Lights will turn on.
Launch the Online Editor:
Must use CHROME

Click Read Pacer to load all the 24 Factory Presets into the online Editor.

You will be programming these 3 Presets to control the Style Elements of the Korg Pa2X Arranger

Note: Korg uses a numbering scheme based on 0-127.
The Nectar Pacer also uses a numbering scheme based on 0-127.
This means no translation is necessary.

Programming Preset A1
For each of the 24 Presets on the Pacer, you can independently program each of the 10 Switches
(pedals) along with 4 External Foot Switches and 2 External Expression Pedals.
Program the 10 Switches in Preset A1 as follows:

Here is an example of how to program Switch 6 on the Pacer using the online Editor.
Select Preset A1
Select Switch 6

Set Program Change = 90
Set MIDI Channel = 16 (This is important! You will use MIDI Channel 16 as you Control Channel)
Set LED On/Off colors
Click Update Pacer
The Pacer Display will read
PROGRAM 1
A1… (Flashing dots)
Push down the encoder.
Push down the encoder one more time.
Push down Switch 6
It will glow bright RED.
The display will show:

Program the remaining 9 Switches.
This is how Preset A1 will appear.

Note that Preset A2 is almost identical to Preset A1.
To save time, first copy Preset A1 to A2.
First Select Preset A1 This is your Source
The Display should read:
PRESET
A1
Turn the Dial PRESET, CONTROL, SAVE, GLOBAL, EXTERNAL CONTROLLER, DUMP, BOOT.
Select SAVE
Push Down.
STORE
Push Down one more time
Rotate the Dial to select A2
Push Down to confirm. Preset A1 is now copied to Preset A2
