1 .Safety Instruction
Please read the manual before operation,failure to comply
with the manual could lead to danger of operator,others and
the machine.
- Before use, the generating set and its electrical equipment
(including lines and plug connections) should be checked to
ensure that they are not defective.
- The generating set shall not be connected to other power sources,
such as the power company supply mains.
- Protection against electrical shock depends on circuit breakers
specially matched to the generating set. If the circuit breakers
require replacement, they should be replaced with a circuit
breaker having identical ratings and performances characteristics.
1.1 Protect yourself and others, Welding can make you
and others in danger of many risk factors:Make sure to
never weld without a welding mask. This goes for not only
the operator,but all other by standards as well ,The damages
to eyes include: electric arc, dazzle reflections, dazzle
flicker,sparking molten, metal splashing.Looking at welding
arc without eye protection can inflict great pain and even
temporary blindness. Therefore, this products owner/operator
should ensure the welding machine
operated by a user with prior welding knowledge. Use these
professional protective equipment when operating.
-Face shield
-dedicated heat resistant gloves
-Protective clothing and shoes
1.2. Do not use machine in area where dust pollution,
flammables or explosives are present.
1.3 Power supply and welding current can cause shock
damage. Please do not touch inside or face plate of welding
machine at any time. Make sure operator and all other have
a dry ground insulation

Protection. Do not let your body touch the ground and the
electrode at that same time.
1.4 Welding fumes and gasses can cause serious harm to
operator and all other by standards. Please keep your head
away from a place you could possibly breathe in fumes and
make sure to use the machine in a well ventilated area.
1.5 To prevent any fire hazards do not have any residue of
gasoline or kerosene on your person,cylinder or piping you
may be welding.
1.6 Do not operate machinery if you have a pacemaker. This
includes being anywhere near the machine even if someone
else is operating . The magnetic field produced by the
welding machine could have adverse effects on a
pacemaker.
1.7 Welding splatter can cause fire and explosions. Do not
weld in dangerous situations such as around flammables,
explosives, a closed barrel or pipe.
1.8 There is extreme heat produced by the exhaust pipe,
engine,air compressor and muffler. Please do not touch
these parts or have flammables anywhere near the unit. The
high temperature produced by the exhaust is capable of
igniting any flammables or explosives.
1.9. It is important that this unit is installed, used and
maintained by professionals, Do not tamper or remove any
safety or warning signs located on the unit.

1.10. The engine operates on gasoline. It is important to
keep in mind this unit can not be run indoors. Carbon
Monoxide has no odor and can be fatal in a short period of
time.
1.11. Gasoline is highly flammable and is capable of causing
a large explosion. Please shut down the machine before
ever adding fuel or oil. When adding fuel or oil make sure it
is done in a well ventilated area. When filling the fuel tank be
sure you always leave enough space for natural fuel
inflation. Make sure to not smoke near fuel supply. Keep
away from all other flames, sparks,etc. Make sure to wipe
all leaked fuel on the unit before starting.
1.12 Take care when attaching your welding leads. Ensure
a solid connection at the lead terminals at all times. Inspect
your welding leads for damage before each use and never
allow them to sit in a damp environment. Avoid dragging
your welding leads, as this may cause the insulation to
become damaged.
1.13 Check the oil level prior to each use by removing the oil
dipstick. Do not operate the unit if it has become overfilled
with oil, as this can affect normal operations. In addition
make sure to change the oil on a regular basis.
1.14Refrain from using the air compressor when welding.
Also, it is recommended that you disconnect all sources
from the generator as well when welding.


2. General points of safety for Welding function
During the welding process, it may cause damage to you and others,
please do well the protection. For the details, please refer to the safety protection
guide to the operators that accord with the manufacturer accident prevention requirements.
Electric shock—it may cause death!
In accordance with the application standard, install the grounding device well.
When the skin is bare, wearing the wet gloves or wet clothes, contacting with live parts or
electric welding rod is strictly prohibited.
Make sure that there is insulation state between you and ground as well as workpiece.
Make sure that your working position is in the safe state.
Do not take the welding machine inside a container, vehicle or similar work place.
Do not place the welding machine on a wet surface and do not work on a wet surface.
Ensure cables or welding electrode holder are not squashed by heavy objects and that they
are not exposed to sharp edges or a hot work piece.
Make sure that faulty and damaged welding el ectrode holder are changed immediately as they
can be lethal and may cause electrocution or fire.
Remember that the electric devices may be replaced only by an electrical contractor or
engineer authorized to perform such operations.
Turn off the machine when it is not in use.
Fume —— likely do harm to health!
Keep head out of fume.
Use ventilation or exhauster in arc welding process to avoid breathing in weld gas.
Ensure excellent ventilation and avoid inhaling the fumes.
Ensure sufficient supply of fresh air, particularly in closed spaces.
Take extra precautions when working on metals or surface-treated materials containing lead,
cadmium, zinc, mercury or beryllium.
Arc rays radiation——likely to injure your eyes and burnt skin!
Wear appropriate welding mask, filter glass and protective clothing to protect your eyes and
body.
Use proper face mask or screen to protect onlooker from injury.
Spatter and fire
Welding spark may cause accidental fire, please make sure that there is no welding working
position nearby the welding working position, equip with the fire extinguisher all around.
Welding is always classified as hot work, so pay attention to fire safety regulations during
welding and after it.
Remember that fire can break out from sparks even several hours after the welding work is

completed.
zProtect the environment from welding splatter. Remove flammable materials, such as
flammable fluids, from the welding vicinity and supply the welding site with adequate fire
fighting equipment.
zIn special welding jobs, be prepared for hazards such as fire or explosion when welding
container type work pieces.
zNever direct the spark spray or cutting spray of a grinder toward the welding machine or
flammable materials.
zBeware of hot objects or splatter falling on the machine when working above the machine.
zWelding in flammable or explosive sites is absolutely forbidden.
zNon-operator (bystander) must be far away from the operation site for 5m, the operation site should be
protected by enclosure.
Noise —— excessive noise will do harm to hearing!
zUse ear shield or wear other hearing protection device to protect your ear.
zWarn the bystander that noise will cause potential damage to hearing.
Trouble——ask for help from professional personnel when trouble occurs,
please contact your supplier or Our company's service center immediately to
seek for help from professional personnel.
zWhen encounter difficulty in installation and operation, please ask for help from professional
personnel.
Other warnings:
1) Never use the machine n environments classified as dangerous. These work environments
include, for example, humid, hot or small spaces where the user may be directly exposed to the
surrounding conductive pieces.
2) You should pay attention to prevent it’s topple over if the welding power placed in inclined
plane.
3) Overload is forbidden! Current overload may shorten the service life of welding machine
remarkably even cause burnt of welding machine. Duty cycle means: the working hour
percentage of equipment in 10 minutes work cycle, when welding current decreases, the duty
cycle will increase, when welding current increases, it will decrease. Heating tests were
conducted at ambient temperature.The duty cycle was determined at 40 ° C by simulation
4) Forbid use the welding power to unfreeze pipeline. It can’t be used as the cardiac pacing, air
pipe welding, and etc.
5) Do not put the electrode holder or ground cable on the welding machine or other electric
equipment.
6) When the operator's action is limited by environment (such as: only can work on bended knees,

on foot or lay), it must avoid directly contacting the current-carrying part on equipment with
body.
7) Don’t use the machine in the event the operating environmental space is very narrow and small
which make the operator unable to step aside the current-carrying conductor.
8) Don’t use the machine in humid environment, where the operators easy to sweat which make
them in great electric shock risks
9) Don’t conduct the welding in the dust area or under the environment of corrosive gas.
10) Inclination between placement of welding machine and horizontal plane is ≤10°.
11) The welding power source is not suitable for use in rain or snow, although it can be used and
stored outdoors. Protect the equipment against rain, water and strong sunlight.
12) Characteristics of welding machine: drop characteristic
13) EMC classification of this product is class A in accordance with electromagnetic compatibility
standards EN 60974-10, and therefore the product is designed to be used in industrial
environment only.
14) It is suggested that welding cable should be H01N2-D 1X25mm2. The recommended electrode
holder is 60% 180A (approved according to EN 60974-11).
15)Transportation, lifting and suspension
Methods of handing: by fork-lift or crane
Only use a transportation platform designed for the equipment.
Try to transport the machine in an upright position, if possible.
Never use a welding machine when suspended
Do not exceed the maximum allowed load of suspension booms or the transportation trolley of
welding equipment.

4.
Preparation
4.1 Read this manual carefully and understand all operating
procedures before using the equipment.
4.2 The equipment must be stored horizontally in a clean,
dry, well ventilated place.
4.3 Please check to ensure all components of machine are
securely fastened. If fastener or connectors are loose they
must be repaired before running the machine.
4.4 Make sure to always check engine oil before operating
machine.
4.4.1 Remove and wipe off dipstick.
4.4.2 Insert dipstick and then remove to check exact level of
the oil.
4.5Engine oil recommendation
4.5.1 Oil is a major factor for overall performance of the
CT4539. Please use 4 stroke oil that exceeds the
standards for API service classification SE.

Always check the API SERVICE label on the oil container to
be sure it includes the letters SE.
4.5.2 Check and change the oil in your machine regularly.
This will avoid all problems related to the oil being too low,
too high, dirty or thick.
4.5.3 SAE10W-30 oil is recommended. The SAE viscosity
grade shows other viscosities to use in different average
temperatures.
4.5.4 If the oil level is below the minimum level add oil to its
proper level. We recommend the oil is in the middle of
minimun and maximum levels.

4.5.5. Check that the engine power switch is in its “OFF”position.
4.5.6. Before the first use,remove the fuel tank cap and fill the
fuel tank with unleaded gasoline,When fueling,be sure that the
fuel strainer is in place.Replace the fuel tank cap, Thereafter,
check the engine’s fuel gauge for the amount of unleaded
gasoline in the fuel tank.If necessary,refill the fuel tank
with unleaded gasoline;the generator must be turned off and
cooled down before refilling the fuel tank.
Fuel tank capacity:25.0L(6.6 gallons)

4.7 Always check the fuel level before operating machinery.
Use a strainer when adding fuel and make sure to always
leave enough room at the top for fuel inflation to occur.Make
sure you securely twist the fuel cap before operating the
CT4539 . Do not use used,polluted or mixed fuel in the
machine.
4.8 Check air filter.
4.8.1 Open the clip to loosen the filter cover.
4.8.2 Move the clip and filter cover in order to remove the air
filter. Do not damage the cover.
4.8.3 Remove the Filter.
4.8.4 Check the filter. If the filter is dirty, please wash it, If it
is damaged then call NEILSEN CT4539 for a replacement.
4.8.5 Install filter back into holder.
4.8.6 Install the filter cover and make sure no gap is in-
between covers. If there is no filter or filter is damaged it will
allow dust into the engine and cause major damages.
