NetComm V85 User manual

NetComm’s V85 VoIP Desktop Telephone is the ideal Internet device for any
small business or home user wanting to take advantage of the benefits of IP
Telephony services. The V85 is a fully-featured Digital IP telephone using the
popular Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standard to deliver high-quality voice
calls over the Internet. When utilising a broadband Internet and VoIP service,
home users can take advantage of VoIP by plugging the V85 VoIP Desktop
Telephone directly into a broadband modem router.
Alternatively, a business can deploy VoIP by connecting the V85 Desktop
Phone into the LAN port of an Ethernet Network and use their existing
broadband/VoIP service to significantly reduce or eliminate long distance or
inter-office phone charges.
Adding to the V85’s elegant design are a host of handy features including
Full Duplex Speaker Phone with echo cancellation, speed dials, phone
book, call transfer, mute and a unique volume control for both the handset
speaker/microphone.
The V85 also features a dedicated PC port that can connect both the phone and
the computer to the network using only one network connection; eliminating the
need to install additional network wall points at each workstation.
NetComm has also made the set-up and configuration easy to achieve. By using
either a web browser or the phone’s dual row LCD and keypad, the initial set-up
or advanced features can be configured in minutes with a minimum of fuss.
The V85 supports a number of supplementary call services which are provided
by most VoIP service providers. These are Caller ID, Call On-Hold, Call Forward,
Call Waiting and Transfer to external number functions*.
* Supplementary features must be supported by your VoIP service provider.
