conditions set out in the BMPT-AmtsblVfg 243/1991 and Vfg 46/1992. The operation of some equipment (for

Federal Office for Telecommunications Approvals has been notified of the placing of this equipment on the
market and has been granted the right to test the series for compliance with the regulations.

1. UTPケーブルを使って、ハブのいずれかのポートとアダプタのRJ-45ポートを接
続します。
2. ネットワーク・ケーブルを接続するには下図を参照してください。
ModelEA101USBEthernetアダプタはホット・スワップ可能なので、PCの電源が
オン／オフどちらの状態でも挿入できます。
1. 図に示すようにModelEA101USBEthernetアダプタをUSB（Universal
SerialBus）ポートに挿入します。
PCによってはUSBポートを2つ備えた機種もありますが、ModelEA101USB
Ethernetアダプタはどちらのポートにも挿入できます。
2. ModelEA101USBEthernetアダプタにカテゴリ510/100MbpsUTP ケー
ブルを接続します。
3. 電源がオフの状態でアダプタをインストールした場合は、PCの電源を入れます。
注：NETGEARハブの1つのポートは、Normal/Uplink切り換えスイッ
チでNormal（MDI-X）とUplink（MDI）を切り換えできます。このポー
トを使ってPC、ネットワーク・カード、またはModelEA101USB
Ethernetアダプタを接続する場合は、Normal/Uplink切り換えスイッチ
がNormalに設定されていることを確認してください。

ここでは、Windowsネットワーク・ドライバのインストール方法を説明します。
PCとネットワークに名前を付けていない場合は、インストールを開始する前にネット
ワークと各PCの名前を決めてください。
インストールでは、WindowsCD-ROMとEA101DriversandDiagnosticsDisk
を使用します。
1. PCの電源を入れて、Windows98を起動します。
新しいハードウェアが検索されます。
2. 
［次へ］をクリックします。
3.
［使用中のデバイスに最適なドライバを検索する］を選びます。
［次へ］をクリックします。
4.
［フロッピーディスクドライブ］を選びます。
［検索場所の指定］を選び、"A:¥" であることを確認します。
DriversandDiagnosticsDiskをフロッピー・ドライブに挿入して、［次へ］を
クリックします。
5.
［次へ］をクリックします。
6.
［OK］をクリックします。
7.
正しい場所及びドライバが表示されていることを確認して下さい。
［OK］をクリックします。
8.
［完了］をクリックします。
9.
コンピュータを再起動する前に必ずDriversandDiagnosticsDiskとWindows
98CD-ROMを取り出してください。［はい］をクリックしコンピュータを再起動
します。
10. ｢インストールの確認｣に進みます。


デスクトップ画面の［マイコンピュータ］をダブルクリックし、［コントロールパ
ネル］をダブルクリックして、［システム］をダブルクリックします。
2.
［デバイスマネージャ］をクリックします。
3.
［ネットワークアダプタ］をダブルクリックし、［NETGEAREA101USB
EthernetAdapter］をダブルクリックします。［システムのプロパティ］ウィンド
ウが開き、機器の状態についてのメッセージが表示されます。
ドライバのインストールに問題がある場合は、［NETGEAREA101USB
EthernetAdapter］の横に感嘆符が付きます。
4.
［OK］をクリックするか、または右側の角にある［X］をクリックして開いている
ウィンドウを閉じ、Windows98のデスクトップ画面に戻ります。
注：ネットワーク・ドライバをインストールする前に、ネットワーク・
カードをインストールしてください。
注：インストール中に［ディスクの挿入］ウィンドウが開き［Windows
98ラベルの付いたディスクを挿入してください。］のメッセージが表示さ
れた場合、ドライブD（CD-ROMドライブ）にWindows98CD-ROM
を挿入し、［OK］をクリックします。それから次の手順に進みます。
