1. Prior to fittin ensure mains power is switched OFF and live in, switch live and neutral wires are identified. Also where applicable
remove metal back box lus that are not bein used.
2. For installation purposes, set the dip switches for test mode as shown in Timin Diaram and ently rotate the lux pot anti-
clockwise towards the plus (+).
3. Securely fit live in, live out and neutral into the terminals marked Lin, Lout & N.
4. Turn mains power ON.
5. To test the Occupancy Detector timer leave the area and the load will switch OFF in approximately 60 seconds as lon as no
movement or external sources are detected.
6. To test the timer re-enter the area and the Occupancy Detector Timer will detect movement and trier the load ON.
7. Select time delay required usin Timin Diaram and the lux level pot to desired ambient liht level required.
8. Ensure the timer is secured to the back box securely. Do not press the Occupancy Detector dome for any reason.
9. A capacitor will be required when switchin low power or low enery lihtin. For example: LED, 2-D fittins, enery savin lamps,
etc. One capacitor per circuit must be fitted at the liht fittin. A Newlec NL5705A Capacitor will be required.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All wirin should be carried out by a competent person or a qualified electrician and should be fitted to IEE Wirin reulations BS7671.
The circuit should be isolated before carryin out any work. Failure to adhere to the instructions will invalidate the warranty.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION
Lihts will not
switch OFF
•Check time settins (Black bar denotes position of dip switches).
•Check Connections.
•Occupancy Detector is too close to lihts - Re-position away from lihtin, forced air ventilation or heatin sources. Ensure Occupancy Detector is not
lookin directly at heat source or is in direct sunliht.
•Occupancy Detector is re-triered – Check area is left unoccupied for loner than time settin usin an accurate time piece.
•Capacitor must be fitted if switchin low wattae loads, LEDs or fitted at coil if switchin contactors.
Lihts will not
switch ON
•Check Terminal connections.
•Lux set too low- Turn up lux level towards the plus and wait 30 seconds for sensor to adjust.
Liht switches OFF
then immediately

•Check terminal connections.
•Occupancy Detector may be detectin normally find potential source that is trierin Occupancy Detector. Best method is to cover detector with thick
material to eliminate potential trier source.
•Occupancy Detector is seein infra-red heat from lihtin load.
•Capacitor must be fitted if switchin low wattae loads, LEDs or fitted at coil if switchin contactors.
