§A20lbtankofapproximately1/4inchesindiameterby18-1/4
incheshighisthemaximumsizeLPgastanktouse.
§Thissafetyfeaturepreventsthetankfrombeingoverfilled,which
can causemalfunctionof theLPgastank,regulatorand/orgrill.
§TheLPgassupplycylindertobeusedmustbeconstructedand
markedinaccordancewiththespecificationsforLP Gascylinderof
theU.S. Departmentof Transportation(DOT)ortheNational
StandardofCanada,CAN/CSA B339, Cylinders, Spheresand
TubesforTransportationof DangerousGoodsandCommission .
§TheLPgastankmusthaveashutoff valveterminating inanLP
valveoutletthat iscompatiblewithaType1. LPgassupplycylinder
must haveashutoff valveterminatinginavalveoutlet specifiedfor
connection typeQCC1inthestandardforcompressedgascylinder
valveoutlet andinlet connectionANSI/CGA-V-1asapplicable. LP
gassupplycylindermust befittedwithanOverfillProtectionDevice
(O.P.D)TheLPgastankmustalsohaveasafetyrelief devicethat
hasadirectconnectionwiththevaporspaceofthetank.
§Thetanksupplysystemmust bearrangedforvaporwithdrawal.
§TheLPgastankusedmust haveacollartoprotectthetankvalve
§Placedustcaponcylindervalveoutlet wheneverthecylinderisnot
inuse.Onlyinstallthetypeofdustcaponthecylindervalveoutlet
that isprovidedwiththecylindervalve.Othertypesofcaporplugs
mayresultinleakageofpropane
§Never connectanunregulatedLPgastanktoyourgasgrill.
§Thisoutdoorcookinggasapplianceisequippedwithahigh capacity
hose/regulatorassemblyforconnection toastandard20lb.Liquid
propanecylinder.
§HaveyourLPgastankfilledbyareputablepropanegas
dealerand visuallyinspectedand re-qualifiedateachfilling.
§Donot storeaspareLPgascylinderunderornearthis
appliance.
§Neverfill thecylinderbeyond 80percentfull.
§Iftheinformationsnotfollowedexactly, afireresulting in
deathorseriousinjurycouldoccur.
§AlwayskeepLPgastanksinan uprightposition.
§Donot storeorusegasolineorotherflammablevaporsandliquids
inthevicinityofthisoranyotherappliance.
§Storageofanoutdoorcooking gasapplianceindoorsispermissible
onlyifthecylinderisdisconnectedandremovedfromtheoutdoor
cooking gasappliance..
§When yourgasgrill isnotinusethegasmust beturnedoffatLP
gastank.
•Thegasmustbeturnedoff at thesupplycylinderwhentheoutdoor
cooking gasapplianceisnotinuse.
•LPgastankmustbestoredoutdoorsinawell-ventilatedareaand
outofreachofchildren.DisconnectedLPgastanksmustnotbe
storedinabuilding.Garageoranyotherenclosedarea.
PROPERPLACEMENTAND CLEARANCEOF
GRILL
•Neveruseyourgasgrill inagarage,porch,shed,
breezewayoranyotherenclosed area.Yourgasgrill is
tobeusedoutdoorsonly.
•DoNot install thisunit intocombustibleenclosures.
•Minimumclearancefromsidesand backofunitto
combustibleconstruction,24inches(61cm)fromsides
and 24inches(61cm)fromback.
•DO NOT usesthisapplianceunderoverhead
combustiblesurfaces. Thisoutdoorscookinggas
applianceisnotintendedtobeinstallinoron
recreationalvehiclesand/orboats.
•DoNotobstructtheflowofventilationairaroundthe
gasgrillhousing.Onlyusetheregulatorandthehose
assemblysuppliedwithyourgasgrill.Replacement
regulatorsandhoseassembliesmustbethosespecified
inthismanual.
•Theregulatorandhoseassemblymustbeinspected
beforeeachuseofthegrill.Ifthereisexcessive
abrasionorwearorifthehoseiscut, it must be
replacedpriortothegrillbeing put intooperation. The
replacement hoseassemblyshallbethatspecifiedby
themanufacturer.
•Pressureregulatorand hoseassemblysuppliedwith
theoutdoorcooking gasappliancemustbeused.Never
substituteothertypesofregulator.Contactcustomer
serviceformanufacturerspecifiedreplacementparts.
•Thisoutdoorcookinggasapplianceisequippedwitha
pressureregulatorcomplywiththestandardfor
PressureRegulatingValvesforLPGasANSI/ UL144.
•Donot usebriquettesofanykindinthegrill.
•Thegrillisdesignedforoptimumperformancewithout
theuseofbriquettes.Donotplacebriquettesonthe
radiantasthiswill blockofftheareaforthegrillburners
tovent.Addingbriquettescandamageignition
componentsand knobs,andvoidthewarranty.
•Keepthebackandsidecartfree and clearfromdebris.
Keepanyelectricalsupplycord,ortherotisseriemotor
cordawayfromtheheatedareasof thegrill.
•Neverusethegrillinextremelywindyconditions.If
locatedinaconsistentlywindyarea(oceanfront,
mountaintop,etc.)awindbreakwill berequired. Always
adheretothespecifiedclearance.
•Neveruseadentedorrustypropanetank.
•Keepanyelectricalsupplycordandthefuelsupply
hoseawayfromanyheatedsurface
•Whilelighting, keepyourfaceandhandsasfaraway
fromthegrillaspossible.
•Burneradjustmentshouldonlybeperformed afterthe
burnerhavecooled.
