Install the SkyMagic Software
1. Insert SkyMagic CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2. At the installation screen, Click on Install SkyMagic
software.
3. Click on Open and ollow the onscreen instructions to
install the so tware on your computer.
4. When the ollowing screen comes up, select Allow
this program to use Skype and click OK

Install the Skype Software
 Make sure that your computer is connected to the
Internet be ore starting installation.
1. Insert SkyMagic CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2. At the installation screen, click on Install Skype
software to open the Skype web page.
3. Download the latest version o Skype so tware rom
www.skype.com.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the Skype
so tware on your computer.
Create a New Skype Account
 I you already have a Skype account, sign in to your
account and proceed to Step 2.
1. Launch the Skype so tware, click on Don t have a
Skype Name? to open the create account window.
2. Choose your Skype Name and password. Enter the
required in ormation (denoted by a red asterisk) and
click Sign In.
Make a Skype Test Call
 You must have a microphone and speaker
connected to computer to do the test.
1. Select Skype Test Call in the Contacts Tab. Click
the green call button.
2. Follow the voice instructions to test your installation.
Connection Instructions
 Disconnect your home phone rom the wall jack and
then plug it into the TEL port on the Gateway.
 Connect one end o the phone cable we provide into
the LINE port on the gateway. Depending on which
types o Internet connection you use (DSL or Cable),
a) DSL Connection
connects the other end into the phone jack on the
wall via a micro- ilter , which is provided with
your DSL equipment.
b) Cable Connection
connects the other end directly into the phone
jack on the wall.
 Connect one end o the USB cable we provide into the
USB port on the gateway. Connect the other end into
the USB port o your computer.
 Depends on your PC con iguration, Window may
detect new hardware and install necessary device
driver automatically. And you may need to restart your
computer, click OK when you are asked to do so.

Add Skype Users as Contact
1. Click on the Skype icon to open the Skype
window.
2. Click on the Add Contact button on Skype window
and ollow onscreen instructions to add your contact.
Assign Speed Dial to Contact
1. Right-click on a contact under the Contacts Tab and
select Set Speed Dial.
2. Assign a speed-dial number to contact (e.g. 10). The
speed-dial number can be any number rom 1 to 99.
3. Repeat or each contact you want to assign speed
dial.

Make and Receive Calls While You Are at Home
 You can make or receive regular phone calls even
when your computer is o .
 To make or receive Skype calls, you have to log on
your Skype account.
 Make a Regular Phone Call
Pick up your handset and dial a phone number as
you usually do.
 Make a Skype Call
1. Pick up your handset.
2. Press the “ * “ button on the phone’s key pad to
switch to Internet mode.
3. When you hear a di erent dial tone. Enter the
speed-dial number (e.g. 10), and then “ # ” key
to make the call.
4. Wait or your riend to pick up the call and talk.
 Make a SkypeOut Call
 SkypeOut is a low cost way to make calls to a
regular phone line using Skype. Be ore you can use
this service, you have to buy SkypeOut credit irst
rom Skype.com.
1. Pick up your handset.
2. Press the “ * “ button on the phone’s key pad to
switch to Internet mode.
3. When you hear a di erent dial tone,
enter a phone number in the ollowing ormat
”00” + “Country code” + “Area Code” + “Phone Number”
For example, i you want to make a call to your
riend in Berlin, Germany and his phone number
is 1234567. You have to enter
00 49 30 1234567
ollowed by the “ # “ key to make the call
 No matter where you are and where you want to call,
you have to ollow this dial ormat to make a
SkypeOut call.
 Receive Regular / Skype Internet Calls
When the phone rings, just pick up the handset and
answer the call as usual. The gateway will
automatically detect and switch to the correct
channel.

Home
 You need to set up the Gateway in STEP 6 be ore
you can use these eatures.
 You have to log on your Skype account and your
computer should remain on.
 Make a Skype Call
1. Dial the phone number that your gateway is
connected to (Usually your home phone
number) rom your mobile or any phone.
2. A ter the preset number o rings (e.g.2),
gateway will pick up the call and play a greeting
asking or the password.
3. Enter your password (e.g.1234) ollow by the
“ # “ key.
4. When you hear a di erent dial tone, enter the
speed-dial number (e.g. 10), and then “ # ” key
to make the call.
 Make a SkypeOut Call
1. Follow the previous Make a Skype Call, steps
7.1 to 7.3.
2. When you hear a di erent dial tone. enter a
phone number in the ollowing ormat
”00” + “Country code” + “Area Code” + “Phone Number”
ollowed by the “ # “ key to make the call
 Receive Skype Calls
When your mobile or any other phone rings, just pick
it up and answer the call as usual.
Listen to Voice Mail While You Are Back
1. Open the Divert window as described in
step 6.1.
2. Click on the PSTN VoiceMails button
3. Select voice mail, i any, and click play to listen
to the voice mail.

Setup the Gateway for Remote Skype Calling
1. Right-click on the SkyMagic icon located in your
computer system tray and select Divert to open the
Divert window.

A Skype to Phone
This eature let you receive Skype calls when you are
away rom home.
i Check the checkbox to enable this unction.
ii Click Select Contacts to select which contact are
allowed to divert the call to you.
iii Enter number o phone rings (e.g. 2) be ore the
gateway divert the call.
iv Enter a phone number that you want your Skype
calls diverted to (e.g. your mobile number
1234567)
 I the area code o your mobile is di erent rom the
number that the Gateway connects to, you have to
include the area code. (e.g. 1 626 1234567)

This eature lets you make Skype or SkypeOut calls
rom your mobile or any other phones when away rom
home.
i. Check the checkbox to enable this unction.
ii. Enter number o phone rings (e.g. 2) be ore the
Gateway divert the call.
iii. Enter a password (e.g. 1234) to protect
unauthorized use o this unction.
