GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Thank you for purchasing a NEXT Audiocom P6 Multi-Purpose
Pendant Speaker. This user manual will provide you with
useful and important information about your equipment.
Please devote some time reading it and keep it at hand for
future reference.
ATTENTION! Because of the continuous evolution of
techniques and standards, NEXT Audiocom reserves the right
to change the specications of its products without warning.

UNPACKING
NEXT Audiocom’s products are built under strict quality
guidelines and supervision, according to the highest
standards. When unpacking your product, carefully examine
it for any signs of possible transit damage and inform your
dealer immediately if any such damage has occurred. It is
suggested that you retain the original packaging so that the
product can be repacked in the future when necessary. Please
note that NEXT Audiocom and its authorized distributors
cannot accept any responsibility for damage to any returned
product using non-approved packaging.

radiators, ovens or any other apparatus that produce heat
• Do not use or install the equipment near water or exposed to
rain
• If the equipment is not functioning properly or has been
damaged in any way, switch it o immediately
• Do not open or try to service the equipment. It may only be
repaired by authorized, qualied personnel
• Clean the equipment using only a clean dry cloth
• Do not operate the unit for an extended period with the
sound distorting
WARNINGS
Suspending or mounting objects onto walls is potentially
dangerous and should only be attempted by individuals who
have knowledge of the techniques and regulations of
suspending objects overhead. It is the responsibility of the
installer to ensure all loudspeakers are safely installed in
accordance with all applicable regulations.
CAUTION:
Never remove the cover, because otherwise there may be a
risk of electric shock. There are no user serviceable parts
inside. Have repairs carried out only by qualied service
personnel.
The lightning ash with arrowhead symbol within an
equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the
product’s enclosure that may be of sucient magnitude to
constitute a risk of electrical shock.
The exclamation mark within an equilateral triangle is
intended to alert the user to the presence of important
operating and maintenance instructions.
CAUTION:
This equipment is intended for professional use. Therefore,
commercial use of this equipment is subject to the
respectively applicable national accident prevention rules
and regulations. As a manufacturer, NEXT Audiocom is
obligated to notify you formally about the existence of
potential health risks. Hearing damage due to high volume
and prolonged exposure: When in use, this product is capable
of producing high sound-pressure levels (SPL) that can lead to
irreversible hearing damage in performers, employees, and
audience members. For this reason, avoid prolonged
exposure to volumes in excess of 90dB.

P6 OVERVIEW
The P6 oers versatility and performance, perfect for both
residential and commercial audio applications, the P6
provides a wide listening eld with exceptional sound quality.
Optimized design using a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer
that provides deep clear bass paired-up with a 1" silk dome
tweeter that produces balanced, lifelike tone and musical
reproduction. The IP66 rated weather and dust resistant
enclosure is nished with an eye-pleasing matte texture that
ts perfectly into any home or commercial setting.
CONNECTIONS
The NEXT Audiocom P6 speaker can operate in standard low
impedance mode as well as in 100V/70V distributed lines. The
P6 has a selector switch on the rear for selecting the mode of
operations. The direction of the cut, on the switch, is used to
determine which mode of operation and/or power tap the
speaker should be working with. In this case the P6 is
congured to work as an 8Ω unit. Also, close to the selector
switch is the terminal block connector.
LOW IMPEDANCE
The NEXT Audiocom P6 in the low impedance mode of
operation has a nominal impedance of 8Ω. If there is the need
to connect multiple speakers in parallel, be sure to follow the
amplier’s specications in relation to the minimum allowed
impedance. Most ampliers allow for a minimum 4Ω
impedance which corresponds to two P6 speakers connected
in parallel.

100V DISTRIBUTED LINES
The P6 comes standard with a transformer for 100V/70V
distributed lines, to use your speaker in the 100V distributed
line mode, use the selector to congure the desired power tap
(5W, 10W, 20W, 40W) for 100V and (2.5W, 5W, 10W, 20W) for
100V.
100V LINE INSTALL REQUIREMENTS
100V POWER AMPLIFIER REQUIREMENTS
Make sure you have a powerful enough amplier for your
setup of P6 loudspeakers. It must have at least the total sum of
power values chosen on your P6 as power tap. Applying the
20% headroom rule, in this case, is the ideal scenario.
Considering the example above, for 100V, you will need at
least (10+5+20) x 1.2 = 42W of amplier power.
100V LINE SPEAKER CABLE REQUIREMENTS
On the table below you can nd the maximum distance a
cable can deliver the amplier full power.
INSTALLATION
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
The NEXT Audiocom P6 can be either suspended in a pendant
conguration, mounted on a wall or ceiling, using the
adjustable wall-mount stand and used in a garden. Prior to
installing, check the chosen structure for weight
bearing capability.

WARNING:
Make sure the speaker is properly secured to the structure, and the
structure can handle the total weight suspended on it. Failure to do
so may cause damage or injuries.

SUSPENSION INSTRUCTIONS
Route the cables through the top cover.
In the P6, use the selector to choose your desired mode of
operation and power tap. Strip the wires about 3 to 4
millimeters from the tip and mount the supplied connector.
Insert the connector on the P6 and after xing the buckle part,
t the cover in the P6 and with the supplied eye bolt and nut.
Be sure to check that the eye bolt is properly and suciently
inserted as it is through it that the P6 is suspended.
Route the hanging cable through the eyebolt and using the
two supplied carabiners secure the P6 to the structure.
NOTE: For faster and easier installation use the available
Gripple accessories.
WALL MOUNT INSTRUCTIONS
Unscrew the rotation center screw to separate the plastic
parts of the stand. Take care to not lose any small parts.
Use the wall mount to mark the spots for the holes. Keep in
mind that the adjustable stand cannot tilt the P6, it can only
rotate up and down. Secure the wall mount to the wall with
four screws.
Mount the speaker part of the stand on the P6. Connect the
wires and screw the top cover supplied with the wall mount.
Reassemble the stand with the P6 already attached and adjust
as required.
NOTE: The logo badge can be removed, from the grille, without damage.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: No sound coming from P6
Action to Solution:
- Check volume levels on the amplier and signal sources and
the connections between them. If your amplier has signal
detection or measuring visuals, test if it is reacting to the
signal source. If everything seems to be ok, connect another
speaker known to be working to the amplier. If it works, the
wiring to the P6 may have problems.
- Check that you have the correct pair of wires connected to
the speakers you are trying to work with. Look for signs of
damage if possible and check that the wires are correctly
mounted on the connector and the connecter is correctly
inserted on the P6.
Problem: Little to no Bass
Action to Solution:
- This happens most of the times when two or more speakers
near each other (or even in the same room), are wired out of
polarity. In this case low frequencies will cancel each other
acoustically. Check that the “+” or red marked amplier
terminal is connected to the red terminal on the P6 (look at
the connections section) and the “-“ or black marked amplier
terminal is connected to the negative terminal of the P6.
Problem: Intermittent output
Action to Solution:
- Most probably is a faulty connection. Check the amplier
terminals and the P6 terminals are tight. Also check the signal
cables from the source to the amplier.
Problem: Buzzing, hissing or humming
Action to Solution:
- If there is noise and no program material is playing, check
your entire signal chain for the bad component. It can also be
a matter of poor grounding or a ground loop. Check and
correct the system grounding.
WARRANTY POLICY
NEXT Audiocom products are warranted, by NEXT Audiocom,
against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship
over a period of 2 years counting from the date of original
purchase for nal costumer. The original receipt of purchase is
mandatory for warranty validation purposes, and the product
must have been bought from a NEXT Audiocom authorized
dealer. The warranty can be transferred to a subsequent
owner during the warranty period, however, this cannot
extend the warranty period beyond the original warranty
period of two years from the original date of purchase stated
on the NEXT Audiocom’s invoice. During the warranty period
NEXT Audiocom will, at its own discretion, either repair or
replace a product which prove to be defective provided that
the product is returned in its original packaging, shipping
prepaid, to an authorized NEXT Audiocom service agent or
distributor.
NEXT Audiocom cannot be held responsible for defects
caused by unauthorized modications, improper use,
negligence, exposure to inclement weather conditions, act of
God or accident, or any use of this product that is not in
accordance with the instructions provided by this manual
and/or NEXT Audiocom. NEXT Audiocom is not liable for
consequential damages. This warranty is exclusive, and no
other warranty is expressed or implied.
This warranty does not aect your statutory rights.
CORRECT DISPOSAL
When the P6 is to be denitively discarded, take the product
to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to
the environment. This equipment should not be treated as
general household waste.
Devices marked with this symbol must not be disposed of as
household waste. For more information, please contact your
retailer or local authorities.

VISÃO GERAL P6
A P6 oferece versatilidade e excelente desempenho, perfeito
para aplicações de áudio residenciais ou comerciais. A P6
proporciona uma ampla cobertura com qualidade de som
excecional. Um design otimizado usando um altifalante de
cone de polipropileno de 6.5" que fornece um grave profundo
e claro emparelhado com um transdutor de agudos de cúpula
de seda de 1" que produz um agudo equilibrado, realista e
musical. Sendo classicada como IP66 é resistente ao clima e
poeiras. A caixa é acabada com uma textura mate agradável à
vista que enquadra perfeitamente em qualquer cenário.
LIGAÇÕES
A P6 da NEXT Audiocom pode funcionar em modo de baixa
impedância, bem como em linhas distribuídas de 100V/70V.
Tem um seletor na parte traseira para selecionar o modo de
operação. A direção da ranhura no interruptor é utilizada para
determinar com que modo de funcionamento e/ou potência
a coluna deve trabalhar. Na imagem abaixo, a P6 está
con-gurada para trabalhar como uma unidade de 8Ω. Perto
do seletor está também o conector de terminais.
BAIXA IMPEDÂNCIA
A NEXT Audiocom P6 no modo de funcionamento de baixa
impedância tem uma impedância nominal de 8Ω. Se houver
necessidade de ligar várias colunas em paralelo, certique-se
de seguir as especicações do amplicador em relação à
impedância mínima permitida. A maioria dos amplicadores
permite uma impedância mínima de 4Ω que corresponde a
duas P6 ligadas em paralelo.
LINHA DE 100V
A P6 vem de série com um transformador para linha de
100V/70V. Para utilizar a sua P6 no modo de linha de 100V,
utilize o seletor para escolher o nível de potência desejada
(5W, 10W, 20W, 40W) para 100V e (2,5W, 5W, 10W, 20W) para
100V.

Certique-se de que tem um amplicador sucientemente
potente para a sua conguração de colunas P6. Deve ter pelo
menos a soma total dos valores de potência escolhidos nas
suas P6. Aplicar a regra de 20% de segurança é o cenário ideal.
Tendo em conta o exemplo acima, para 100V, será necessário
pelo menos (10+5+20) x 1,2 = 42W de potência do
amplicador.
REQUISITOS DE CABLAGEM LINHA 100V
Na tabela abaixo pode vericar-se a distância máxima que um
cabo pode ter, de acordo com a sua secção (Section) para
fornecer a potência total do amplicador (Power) sem perdas
signicativas.
INSTALAÇÃO
CONSIDERAÇÕES GERAIS
A NEXT Audiocom P6 pode ser suspensa numa conguração
em pêndulo, montada numa parede ou teto utilizando o
suporte de parede ajustável, e utilizada num jardim com os
acessórios respetivos. Antes de instalar verifique se a
estrutura escolhida tem capacidade para suportar o
peso a longo prazo.

MÃOS À OBRA

AVISO:
Certique-se de que a P6 está corretamente presa à estrutura e que
a estrutura pode suportar o peso total suspenso. Existe o risco de
causar danos materiais ou ferimentos graves caso falhe esta
recomendação.
INSTRUÇÕES DE SUSPENSÃO
Passe os cabos pela tampa superior.
Na P6, utilize o seletor para escolher o modo de
funcionamento e a potência pretendidos. Descarne os os
cerca de 3 a 4 milímetros nas pontas e monte o conector
fornecido. Insira o conector na P6 e depois de xar a
abraçadeira metálica com os parafusos, xe a tampa na P6
com o parafuso de olhal e porca fornecidos. Certique-se de
que o parafuso está corretamente aplicado e sucientemente
inserido, uma vez que é através dele que a P6 será pendurada.
Encaminhe o cabo de suspensão através do olhal e utilizando
os dois mosquetões fornecidos prenda a P6 à estrutura.
NOTA: Para uma instalação mais rápida e fácil, pode utilizar os
acessórios Gripple disponíveis.
INSTRUÇÕES DE MONTAGEM EM PAREDE
Desaparafusar o parafuso central no eixo de rotação para
separar as peças plásticas do suporte. Tome cuidado para não
perder as peças pequenas.
Utilize o suporte de parede para marcar as posições para os
furos. Tenha em mente que o suporte ajustável só pode
ajustar a P6 num eixo, portanto conra a posição desejada
com antecedência. Fixe o suporte à parede com 4 parafusos.
Monte a peça do suporte correspondente à coluna na P6.
Ligue os os e aparafuse a tampa superior fornecida com o
suporte.
Volte a montar o suporte com a P6 já xa e ajuste conforme
necessário.
NOTA: O emblema do logótipo pode ser removido da grelha
sem a danicar, se necessário.

RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS
Problema: Coluna sem Som
Ação para a Solução:
- Vericar os níveis de volume no amplicador e nas fontes de
sinal e as ligações entre eles. Se o seu amplicador tiver forma
de deteção de sinal ou medição visual do mesmo, teste se está
reagir à fonte de sinal. Se tudo parecer estar bem, conecte
outra coluna que saiba estar a trabalhar. Se funcionar, a
cablagem ligada à P6 pode ter avaria.
- Verique se tem o par de os correto ligado à coluna com
quem está a tentar trabalhar. Procure sinais de danos na
cablagem se possível e verique se os os estão corretamente
montado no conector e por sua vez se o conector está
corretamente inserido na P6.
Problema: Pouco Grave
Ação para a Solução:
- Isto acontece na maioria das vezes quando duas ou mais
colunas instaladas perto uma da outra (ou na mesma divisão),
estão ligadas fora de polaridade. Neste caso, as baixas
frequências vão cancelar-se mutuamente. Verique se o
terminal do amplicador marcado com "+" ou de cor
vermelha está ligado ao terminal vermelho na P6 (veja a
secção de ligações neste manual) e o terminal preto ou
marcado com "-" está ligado ao terminal negativo da P6.
Problema: Som Intermitente
Ação para a Solução:
- Provavelmente é uma ligação defeituosa. Verique se os
terminais do amplicador e os terminais da P6 estão
apertados. Verique também os cabos de sinal da fonte para
o amplicador.
Problema: Zumbido, Assobio ou som de “Hum”
Ação para Solução:
- Se existir ruído sem reprodução de material, verique toda a
sua cadeia de sinal para identicar a causa. Também pode ser
uma questão de má ligação à terra. Verique e corrija se
necessário a ligação à terra do sistema.
POLÍTICA DE GARANTIA
Os produtos NEXT Audiocom são garantidos, pela NEXT
Audiocom, contra defeitos de fabrico em materiais ou
execução durante um período de 2 anos a contar a partir da
data de compra original para consumidor nal. O recibo
original de compra é obrigatório para efeitos de validação da
garantia, e o produto deve ter sido comprado a um
revendedor autorizado NEXT Audiocom. A garantia pode ser
transferida para um proprietário subsequente durante o
período de garantia, no entanto, esta não pode prolongar o
período de garantia original de dois anos a partir da data
