NightSearcher products have been carefully tested and inspected before
shipment and are guaranteed to be free from defective materials and
workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, provided that
the enclosed instructions have been followed.

If upon inspection it is found that the fault occurring is due to defective materials
or workmanship, repairs will be carried out free of charge. This guarantee does
not apply to normal wear and tear, nor does it cover any damage caused by
misuse, careless or unsafe handling, alterations, accidents, or repairs attempted
or made by any personnel without prior approval from NightSearcher Ltd.
Your NightSearcher guarantee is not effective unless you can produce a dated
receipt of purchase.

product: Please note that waste electrical products, batteries and
bulbs should not be disposed of with household waste. Please
recycle where facilities exist, check with your local authority for

contains important safety information and operating instructions. Following this
advice will help ensure that your product operates to its maximum potential.

The Light Emitting Diodes (LED) can last 50,000hrs+ and seldom need to be replaced. If
there is any malfunction of LED, please contact Nightsearcher Limited or an authorised
distributor.
BATTERY CHARGING
NOTE: You should immediately charge your lamp for 24 hours before use. This will
completely charge and recondition the battery for optimum performance.
!Ensure lamp is switched OFF before recharging
!When your lamp is charging, the LED indication light (located on the lamp) will
illuminate RED as long as the battery accepts the charging current.
!Do not completely discharge the battery before recharging. Deep discharge will
decrease the battery life.
!Never leave the lamp in a discharged state, always recharge after use, and
recharge every 3 months.
NOTE: Charge adaptor and lamp may be left connected to the mains supply for longer
than the 24h charging period. However, it is not recommended to frequently leave
extended charge periods or to leave on permanent charge. When not in use, your charger
should be disconnected from the mains supply. This will help prolong the battery life.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
!Undo the two screws and remove the amber lens.
!Pull-off the two terminal connections and remove the battery.
!Insert the new battery and ensure that the red wire is connected to the positive
terminal and that the black wire is connected to the negative terminal.
!Reassemble the torch in the reverse order.
NOTE: The SL850 uses a 4V 5.5A/h lead acid battery. Please contact NightSearcher or an
authorised distributor for a replacement battery.
The SL850 works on a 3 mode selector switch, turn the selector switch to the required mode
(as indicated on the handle).
OFF > Flashing Amber LED > Full Power > Half power
!Never leave the lamp in a discharged state, always recharge after use,
!If the lamp is stored, in order to prevent the degradation of battery, it should be
charged and discharged every 2-3 months
!The charging unit is CE rated and should only be used indoors.
!Do not use any chargers other than those provided. Failure to do so could cause fire,
electrical shock or personal injury
!Do not use if charging adaptor is broken or damaged
!Do not try to repair the unit or adaptor yourself. Please contact NightSearcher or an
authorised distributor
!Do not expose the battery to fire/high temperatures or extreme wet/cold conditions
!If battery acid is in contact with skin or eyes, clean with water immediately and seek
medical assistance
NOTE: To adjust the handle, use the push button to release lock. Turn the handle to the
desired position and release the button to lock the position.
