Exposure Determination
The
exposure
calculating
diagrams
onpage
l7 are
used
to find thecorrect
aperture
for lensesfrom24mm to
the l05mm. The diagrams
arebased
on exposurein-
dexes
for ASA 25 film at full power
orfor ASA 100
film at ll4 power.
F-numbers
arecalculated
taking
intoaccount
the
lens
extension.
For example,
if the lensused
is the Micro-Nikkor-P
Auto 55mmf/3.5 with ASA 25 film at distance
of
287mmfrom
the
film plane
atfull power,thediagram
gives
f/12asthecorrect
aperture.
For combinations
otherthan ASA 25 full power
or
100film at Il4 output,use
the f-number
indicated
by the diagramsand add or subtract
the exposure
factor
given
in tablebelow
for the
conrbination
in use.
