Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order)

When printing pictures stored on the memory card using any of the following
methods, the Print set option in the playback menu is used to create digital "print
orders" for printing on DPOF-compatible devices.
• Inserting the memory card into a DPOF-compatible (_ 160) printer's card slot
• Taking the memory card to a digital photo Jab
•Connectingthe camera to a PictBridge-compatible(_ 160) printer(_ 114). A
printorder can also be created for picturesstored in the internal memory if the
memory card is removed from the camera.

Proceed to step 4 when playing back in auto sort mode
or list by date mode.

Picture sdected for printing can be recognized by the check
mark (_) and the numeral indicating the number of copies
to be printed, if no copies have been specified for pictures,
the sdection iscancded.
Rotate the zoom control to T (q) to switch to fuji-frame playback.
Rotate the zoom control to W (_';;_)to switch back to 12-thumbnail display.
Pressthe _) button when setting iscomplete. 83
S Choose whether or not to print shooting date
and photo information.
Choose Date and press the _) button to print the
shooting date on all pictures in the print order.
Choose Info and press the 0 button to print photo
information (shutter speed and aperture) on all pictures in
the print order.

Pictures selected for printing are recognized by the
icon displayed with playback.

wNotes on Print Set
When a print order is created in auto sort mode or list by date mode, the screen shown below is
displayed if pictures other than those in selected category or taken on the selected shooting date,
have been marked for printing.
• Select Yes to add pictures in the selected category or taken on the selected shooting date, to the
existing print order,
• Select No to remove print marking from previously marked pictures and restrict the print order to
pictures in the selected category or taken on the selected shooting date,
Auto sort mode List by date mode
If the total number of the pictures ina print order exceeds 99,the screen shown below will be
displayed.
• Select Yes to remove pictures previously added from the print order and restrict the print order to
pictures just marked.
• SelectCancel to remove the picturesjust added from the print order and restrict the print order to
pictures previously marked.

Notes on Printing Shooting Date and Photo Information
When the Date and Info settings are enabled in the print set option, shooting date and photo
information are printed on pictures when a DPOF compatible (_ 160) printer that supports
printing of shooting date and photo information is used.
• Photo information cannot be printed when the camera is connected directly to a printer, via the
supplied USB cable, for DPOF printing (_ 119),
• Note that Date and Info settings are reset when the print set option is displayed,
• The date printed is that recorded when the picture was taken,
Changing the camera's date using the Date option in the setup
menu after a picture has been taken has no affect on the date
printed on the picture.
[] Canceling Existing Print Order
Select Delete print set in step 3 of"Print Set (Creating a DPOF Print Order)" (_ 83) and press the o_
_) button to remove print marking from all pictures and cancel the print order, $
[] Date Imprint
When date and time of recording are imprinted on pictures using the Date imprint option
(_ 128) in setup menu, pictures are recorded with shooting date and time imprinted on the g-
picture when they are taken, Pictures with the date imprinted on them can be printed from printers
that do not support printing of the date on pictures.
Only the Date imprint date and time on pictures will be printed, even if Print set is enabled with
Date selected in the print set screen.

Slide Show

(Playback (Playback menu)
Play back pictures, stored in the internal memory or on a memory card, one by one
in an automated "slide show."
1Use the rotary multi selector to choose Start
and press the _) button.
To change the interval between pictures, choose Frame
intvl, select the desired interval time, and press the _)
button before choosing Start.
To repeat the slide show automatically, choose Loop and
press the _) button before choosing Start. The check
mark (_) will be added to the loop option when enabled.
2The slide show begins.
While the slide show is in progress, the following
operations are available:
Pressthe rotary multi selector i_ to display the
subsequent picture or • to display the previous picture.
Hold down either button to fast forward or rewind.
Pressthe _) button to pause the slide show.
When the slide show ends or is paused, choose End and
press the _) button to return to the playback menu, or
choose Restart to play the slide show again.

•Only the first frame of movies included in a slide show is displayed,
• The maximum playback time is up to 30 minutes even if loop is enabled (_ 133).
Delete (Deleting Multiple Pictures)

Delete selected pictures or all pictures.
Erase Selected images
Select pictures from the picture selection screen and delete them. See "Selecting
Pictures" (_] 88) for more information.
Erase all images
Delete all pictures. In auto sort or list by date mode, all pictures in the category or
taken on the selected date, are deleted.

Selecting Pictures
Tile picture selection screen like that shown at right is
displayed with tile following menu selections:
•Playback menu: Print set>Select images (_ 83),
Delete>Erase selected images (_ 87),
Protect (_ 89), Rotate image (_ 89), and
Copy>Selected images (_ 92)
•Setup menu: Welcome screen>Select an image
(_ 12:3)
Follow the procedures described below to choose the pictures.
1 Rotate the rotary multi selector, or press'_ or
i_ to choose the desired picture.
Only one picture can be selected for Rotate image and
Welcome screen. Proceed to step 3.
Rotate the zoom control to T(q) to switch to full-frame
playback or W([]) to switch back to 12-thumbnail
display.
2Press• or • to select or deselect (or to
specify the number of copies).
When a picture isselected, a check mark (_) is displayed
with the picture. Repeat steps 1and 2to select additional
pictures.
3Press the _1 button to apply picture selection.
When Erase selected images is selected, aconfirmation dialog is displayed. Follow the
instructions displayed in the monitor.

Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion.
Select pictures to protect or cancel protection for previously protected pictures
from the picture selection screen. See "Selecting Pictures" (_ 88) for more
information.
Note that formatting the camera's internal memory or the memory card will
permanently delete protected files (_ 134).
Protected pictures are recognized by the @_ icon in playback mode (_ 7, 72).

Specify the orientation in which recorded pictures are displayed with playback.
Still pictures can be rotated 90 degrees clockwise or 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Pictures that were recorded in portrait ("tall") orientation can be rotated up to 180
degrees in either direction.
Select a picture from the picture selection screen (_ 88). When the Rotate
image screen isdisplayed, rotate the rotary multi selector or press _ or i_ to
rotate the picture 90 degrees.

Playing Voice Memos
Pictures for which voice memos have been recorded are indicated by _ in full-

_1_ Notes on Copying Pictures
• JPEG, MOV, and WAV format files can be copied. Files recorded in any other format cannot be
copied.
• If voice memos (_ 90) are attached to pictures selected for copying, voice memos are copied
with the pictures.
• Operation is not guaranteed with pictures taken with another make of camera or that have been
modified on a computer.
• When pictures selected for a print order (_ 83) are copied, print marking is not copied with
pictures (copies will not be included in the print order). When protected pictures (_ 89) are
copied, the copies are also protected.
• Pictures or movies copied from the internal memory or a memory card cannot be displayed in
auto sort mode (_ 76).
[] Memory contains no images. Message
If there are no pictures stored on a memory card inserted in the camera when playback mode is
applied, the message Memory contains no images, will be displayed. Press the MENUbutton to
display the copy option screen, and copy the pictures stored in the camera's internal memory to the
memory card.

Description
Easily create retouched copies in which contrast and saturation
have been enhanced.
Create a copy of the current picture with enhanced brightness
and contrast, brightening dark portions of the picture.
Skin Softening ([_[_ 97) Make facial skin tones softer.
Sma! I Picture (_ 98) Create a small copy of pictures suitable for use as e-rnai]
attachments.
"- _" _-_rr^_, _FT-l _°9_ Crop a portion of the picture. Use to zoom in on a subject or
arrange a composition.
_1_ Notes on Picture Editing
•Pictures taken at an Image mode setting of _ 4224 x2376 (_ 37) cannot be edited.
• The editing functions of this camera cannot be used for pictures taken with another make or
model of digital cameras.
• If no face is recognized in a picture, a copy cannot be created using the skin softening function
(_ 97).
•Edited copies created with this camera may not be displayed properly on another make or model
of digital camera, It may also be impossible to transfer them to a computer using another make or
model of digital camera,
• Editing functions are not available when there is not enough free space in the internal memory or
on the memory card to store the edited copies.

• Copies created with editing functions are not deleted if the original pictures are deleted, The
original pictures are not deleted if copies created with editing functions are deleted,
• Edited copies are stored with the same recording date and time as the original,
• Print marking (_ 83) and protect settings (_ 89) do not remain effective in edited copies.

Quick retouch can be used to easily create retouched copies in which contrast and
saturation have been enhanced. Copies created with the quick retouch function
are stored as separate files.

[] Small Picture: Resizing Pictures
C_reatea small copy of the current picture. This feature is useful for creating copies
for display on Web pages or e-mail attac:hments. Small copies are stored as JPEG
files with a compression ratio of 1:16.The [] 640x480, [] 320x240, and []
160xl 20 sizes are available.
1Select the desired picture in full-frame

Crop: Creating a Cropped Copy
Create a copy containing only the portion visible in the monitor when I_ _"_ is
displayed with playback zoom (_ 74) enabled. Cropped copies are stored as
separate files.
1Rotate the zoom control to T(q) in full-frame _ ]
playback mode ([_ 69) to zoom in on the _-_-- .. _ /
image.
To crop a picture displayed in "ta"" (portra,O orientation, _J_/
zoom in on the picture until the bBck bars displayed on "_--'-_'_ _S_/-Y_ /
the both sides of the monitor disappear. The cropped _ .._ /
picture will be displayed in landscape orientation. _'
To crop the picture in its current "tall" (portrait)
orientation, first use the Rotate image option ([_) 89) to rotate the picture so that it is
displayed in landscape orientation. Next, enlarge the picture for cropping, crop the
picture, and then rotate the cropped picture back to "tall" (portrait) orientation.
2Refine copy composition.
Rotate the zoom control to T (O0or W (_;_) to adjust the
zoom ratio.
Pressthe rotary multi selector A, V, _1,or i_ to scroll the
picture so that only the portion to be copied is visible in
the monitor.
3PresstheMl:NUbutton. / _- s
4Use the rotary multi selector to choose Yes
and press the _) button.
A cropped copy is created.
To exit without saving the copy, choose No and press the
_) button.
[] Image Size
Asthe areato be saved is reduced, the image size (pixels) ofthe cropped copy is alsoreduced.
When the image size of the cropped copy is320 x 240or 160x 120,a gray frame isdisplayed around
the picture, and the small picture icon _ or _ isdisplayed in the left of the monitor in playback
mode.

• Themaximumrecordingtimeforasinglemovieis29minutes,evenwhenthere

1 Turn on the camera and be sure that it is in
shooting mode.
Movies can be recorded in any shooting mode ([_] 35).
The icon for the selected movie option is displayed. The
default setting is ]_ HD 720p (1280 x 720) ([_] 103).
Movie option
_t Press the • (movie-record) button to ...................................................................
start movie recording.
The camera focuses at the center of the frame.
Focus areas are not displayed during recording.
When I_ HD 720p (1280 x720) is selected for Movie
options, monitor display changes to an aspect ratio of 16:9
og: with movie recording (the area indicated at right is
<. recorded).

The approximate remaining movie length is displayed
o during recording.
Recording stops automatically when the maximum movie
length has been recorded.
