USING THE COOKING FUNCTIONS
To tu n on the unit, fi st plug the powe co d
into a wall outlet. P ess the powe button.

1 Ensu e the c ispe plate is in the basket.
2 P ess Ai F y button. The default
tempe atu e setting will display. Use the
TEMP up and down a ows to set you
desi ed tempe atu e.
NOTE: It is ecommended to let the unit
p eheat fo 3 minutes befo e adding
ing edients. If p eheating, skip step 4,
inse t the basket, and p ess the
START/PAUSE button to begin.
NOTE: To shake o toss ing edients
du ing cooking, p ess START/PAUSE
to pause cooking. Remove basket
and shake it back and fo th to toss
ing edients. Reinse t basket and p ess
START/PAUSE to esume cooking.

Roast
1 Ensu e the c ispe plate is in place if
needed. If you a e using a baking dish, the
c ispe plate is not needed.
2 P ess the ROAST button. The default
tempe atu e setting will display. Use the
TEMP up and down a ow buttons to set
you desi ed tempe atu e.
3 P ess the TIME up and down a ows to
set you desi ed cook time.
4 Add ing edients to the basket. Inse t the
basket in the unit.
5 P ess START/PAUSE to begin cooking.
6 When cooking is complete, the unit
will beep and END will appea on the
cont ol panel display.
7 Remove ing edients by dumping them
out o by using oven mitts o silicone-
tipped tongs/utensils.
NOTE: It is ecommended to let the unit
p eheat fo 3 minutes befo e adding
ing edients. If p eheating, skip step 4,
inse t the basket, and p ess the
START/PAUSE button to begin.

Dehydrate
1 Place you fi st laye of ing edients in the
bottom of the basket. Then install the
c ispe plate inside the basket and set
a second laye of ing edients on the
c ispe plate.
2 Inse t the basket in the unit.
3 P ess the DEHYDRATE button. The
default tempe atu e will display. Use the
TEMP up and down a ow buttons to set
you desi ed tempe atu e.
4 P ess the TIME up and down a ow
buttons to set you desi ed cook time.
NOTE: You can inc ease you
dehyd ating capacity with the multi-
laye ack. If the ack is not included
with you model, it is available fo
pu chase at ninjaaccesso ies.com
5 P ess the START/PAUSE button to sta t
dehyd ating.
6 When dehyd ating is complete, the unit
will make a beep sound and END will
appea on the cont ol panel display.

TROUBLESHOOTING
GUIDE
• Why won’t my temperature go any h gher?
The max tempe atu e is 400 ˚F.
• How long does t take to preheat, and how w ll I know when t’s done?
We ecommend 3 minutes of p eheating. You can use the built-in time to set
a 3-minute countdown.
• Should I add my ngred ents before or after preheat ng?
It is ecommended to let the unit p eheat fo 3 minutes befo e adding ing edients.
• Do I need to defrost frozen foods before a r fry ng?
It depends on the food! Follow package inst uctions.
• How do I make the countdown pause?
P ess START/PAUSE.
• Is the basket safe to put on my countertop?
The basket will heat du ing cooking. Use caution when handling, and place
on heat-safe su faces only.
• How do I know when to use the cr sper plate?
Use the c ispe plate when you want food to come out c ispy. The c ispe plate allows
fo food to be elevated in the basket allowing fo ai to go unde the plate and evenly
c isp ing edients.
• My food d dn’t cook .
Make su e the basket is fully inse ted du ing cooking. Fo consistent b owning, make
su e ing edients a e a anged in an even laye on the bottom of the basket with no
ove lapping. Shake loose ing edients fo even c ispiness. Cook time and tempe atu e
can be adjusted at any time du ing cooking. Simply p ess the up and down TIME o
TEMP a ows to adjust the time o tempe atu e.
• My food s burned .
Fo best esults, check p og ess th oughout cooking, and emove food when desi ed
level of b ownness has been achieved. Remove food immediately afte the cook time
is complete to avoid ove cooking.
• Why s my food blow ng around when a r fry ng?
Occasionally, the fan f om the ai f ye will blow lightweight foods a ound. To alleviate
this, secu e foods (like the top slice of b ead on a sandwich) with toothpicks.
• Can I a r fry wet battered ngred ents?
Yes, but use the p ope b eading technique. It is impo tant to coat foods fi st with flou ,
then with egg, and then with b ead c umbs. Be su e to p ess the b ead c umbs onto the
food with you hands. Because the ai f ye has a powe ful fan as pa t of its mechanism,
b eading can sometimes be blown off. P essing the b ead c umbs fi mly on will help
them adhe e.
• The un t s beep ng .
You food is done cooking.
• The screen went black .
The unit is in standby mode. P ess the powe button to tu n it back on.
• An “E” message appears on d splay screen .
