Please read t ese instructions for use carefully before using your Cool Twister for t e first time. We
recommend t at you keep t e instructions for use so you can refer to t em at a later date if necessary.
There is not just one correct temperature when it comes to preparing baby food – depending on the product,
freshly boiled water has to be cooled down to 0 °C, 50 °C, 60 °C or 70 °C before milk powder is added. This is
the only way to ensure that temperature-sensitive vitamins and nutrients are not lost and the powder is
completely dissolved.
Cool Twister works based on the principle of heat exchange. According to this principle, the more water that is
in the cooler, the greater the cooling effect. Cool Twister is food safe, microbiologically tested and free from
Bisphenol A.
Setting t e target temperature
If 50 ml water is in the cooler, the temperature of the boiling water after running through the cooler is
approx. 0 °C. Boiling water can be cooled down to approx. 50 °C with 280 ml in the cooler, to approx. 60 °C
with 180 ml and to approx. 70 °C with 90 ml. The required amount of cooling water can be measured
accurately and easily using a baby’s bottle or a measuring cup.
You will find the recommended temperature for preparing the baby food you are using in the instructions
issued by the manufacturer. After cooling down the water with the Cool Twister, please follow the instructions
provided by the food manufacturer to prepare the baby food.
Instructions
1. Open the round sealing screw (there is a screwdriver on the underside of the base) and fill the Cool Twister
with the required amount of water. Use cold tap water. Then reinsert and tighten the sealing screw.
2. Prior to first use, the cooler should be stored in the refrigerator for at least one hour so it can cool down (to
approx. 5–10°C). Subsequently, it must always be kept in the refrigerator when not in use.
3. Fill the Cool Twister measuring cup with boiling water up to the point where the grooved edge starts (210
ml).
. Screw the cooler onto the measuring cup so that it is tight.
5. Have the bottle for the baby food ready.
6. Turn the Cool Twister upside down and put it onto the bottle. The hot water runs through the Cool Twister
automatically and is cooled down at the same time.
Steps 3 to 6
Always fill the measuring cup with 210 ml of water (up to the mark) and let all of it run through the cooler even
if you do not need it all for the bottle. This must be done to ensure that exactly the right temperature is
achieved by means of heat exchange. If you do not need all the cooled water, simply pour the surplus away.
After use, put the Cool Twister (together with its base and cover for hygiene reasons) back into the refrigerator.
Once it has been used, the Cool Twister takes around 2 hours to cool back down to its operating temperature.
Important information for your safety and your c ild’s safety – please note!
• Prior to first use, fill the measuring cup twice with boiling water and let this run through the Cool Twister.
Afterwards boil all individual parts for 3 minutes in a water bath. The sealing screw must be removed for this.
Use the Cool Twister to prepare baby food only after this process.

• The Cool Twister has been designed for cooling down boiling water only. Never run other liquids or baby food
through it.
• Boiling water is a source of potential danger. Always keep your baby away from boiling water. Caution: Filling
the measuring cup with boiling water will cause it to heat up.
• Always check the temperature of baby food before feeding. Give your child baby food only in the quantity
and consistency recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the Cool Twister if it is damaged in any way.
Cleaning and care
Replace the cooling water in the Cool Twister once a week. Clean the Cool Twister, the screw, the cover and the
base in a bowl with washing-up liquid once a week or if required. Afterwards fill the measuring cup once with
boiling water and let this run through the Cool Twister (if necessary, add a little citric acid or descaling agent for
coffee machines to the boiling water in the measuring cup). Then rinse all parts thoroughly under clear water.
Do not clean the Cool Twister in a dishwasher. Due to its metal parts, the Cool Twister is not microwave safe
and must not be disinfected in a microwave sterilizer. If the Cool Twister is not going to be used for a long
period of time, please store it in a hygienic place (clean and dry).
Frequently asked questions
1. Can germs form inside t e coil?
The coil is plated with a special aluminum alloy which is particularly suitable for use with foodstuffs. It forms a
very stable and homogenous oxide fi lm that prevents germs from forming if the product is used as intended.
2. Can t e Cool Twister become coated wit limescale?
Limescale deposits may form. They can be loosened very easily by filling the measuring cup with boiling water
and a little citric acid or descaling agent for coffee machines and letting this run through the Cool Twister. If
lime deposits from the kettle build up in the spiral, these can be removed by blowing hard into the opening on
the bottom of the Cool Twister.
3. Can I use t e Cool Twister w en I’m on t e move too?
As it is filled with cold tap water, the Cool Twister can easily be used when you’re out and about.
