POWER IT UP
**Power Button + 2 SEC -->> **Power L D solid
Press and old t e Power Button for 2 seconds t en release to power ON t e Blaster. T e Power LED will
illuminate solid.
Press t e Power Button again for 2 seconds t en release to power OFF.
NOT : The BLAST R will enter Power Saving Mode to after 5 minutes of no music playback. If the battery is
also low, it will power OFF completely to save the remaining battery.
SYNC IT UP
**Multi Button + 2 SEC -->> **Bluetooth L D flash
Press and old t e Multi Button for 2 seconds t en release to enter Bluetoot Pairing Mode. T e speaker
will sound a tone and t e Bluetoot LED will flas repeatedly.
Now locate t e Bluetoot settings on your music device, enable Bluetoot , and t en select
“BLASTER“ from t e list of local Bluetoot devices.
**Bluetooth L D solid
W en Bluetoot pairing is successful, t e Bluetoot LED will stop flas ing and illuminate solid.
NOT : If your music device supports automatic Bluetooth connection requests, the BLAST R may ask your
music device to connect. Simply confirm by selecting “OK” on your music device.
**AUX (show in symbol/illustration styling)
If your music device does not support Bluetoot connections, use t e included AUX Audio Cable to play
music directly to t e Blaster.

NOT : When using the AUX input of the Blaster, the Bluetooth audio signal is disconnected, and the
remote control buttons and internal microphone will not function.

CRANK IT UP
**volume+ and volume- symbols
Use t e Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to set t e playback level of t e Blaster.
If t e sound is distorted, decrease t e volume setting on your music device first, t en set t e volume level
of t e Blaster. A low battery can also cause t e sound to become distorted, so it is important to keep a
ealt y c arge.
NOT : Because the volume control buttons of the BLAST R do not control the volume output of your music
device, you must properly adjust the volume settings of each device independently.
SWITCH IT UP

You can control many functions of your music device directly from t e BLASTER w en connected via
Bluetoot .

NOT : When you first power ON the Blaster and reconnect to your music device, simply pressing the Multi
Button will begin music playback from where you last stopped.
TALK IT UP
You can also use t e BLASTER as a “speakerp one” w en connected via Bluetoot . Incoming and outgoing
calls will automatically pause music playback, t en resume w en t e call is ended.

Press bot volume buttons at t e same time to MUTE t e microp one during a call. T e two LEDs will
alternate flas ing to let you know MUTE is enabled. Press bot buttons again to UNMUTE t e microp one.
NOT : The internal microphone is designed to pick up your voice from a reasonably short distance. It is not
necessary hold the BLAST R close to your mouth.
CHARGE IT UP

Connect t e USB C arging Cable between t e BLASTER and a USB port on a notebook or desktop
computer, or use t e included USB to AC adapter. W ile c arging, t e Power LED will flas in a repeating
pattern to indicate t e current battery status as s own in t e following Battery C eck section.

**Power L D solid
W en c arging is complete, t e Power LED will stop flas ing and illuminate solid if t e BLASTER is
powered ON, or turn off completely if t e BLASTER is powered OFF.
NOT : A full charge will take about 6 hours when connected the USB port of a computer and only 3 hours
when connected to a power source using the included USB to AC adapter.
BATTERY CHECK
**Power Button -->> **Power L D flash
Press t e Power Button once t en release. T e Power LED will turn off briefly, and t en flas in a
repeating pattern to indicate t e battery status.

On a full c arge, t e battery will last about 12 ours, depending on t e volume level and music content.

NOT : When the battery is LOW, the Power L D will change from R D to Y LLOW while powered ON.
USEFUL TIPS
•You can extend t e battery life of t e Blaster by listening at lower volumes.
•You can also see t e battery in t e Status Bar of Apple iOS devices w en connected via Bluetoot .
•You can avoid sound dropouts by keeping t e battery c arged and staying wit in a reasonable
wireless range.
•T e Battery C eck function is most accurate w en music playback is stopped.
•Be careful w en cleaning t e Blaster. Wipe down dirty surfaces wit a lig tly damp clot t en let
dry. Do not use c emical cleaners or run under water.
•Clean dust, debris, and sand form t e Blaster wit a lig t brus or wit a can of compressed air.
Do not blow air directly into t e speaker grill as t is may cause damage to t e speaker drivers
inside.

Nixon offers a limited warranty on defects in materials and workmans ip for a period of one (1) year after
original purc ase from an aut orized Nixon dealer. T is means t at if t e materials in your speaker aren’t
rig t or if it isn’t put toget er correctly, we’ll repair or replace it, at our option. But, t is doesn’t mean
you can abuse your speaker and expect us to fix it for free. We don’t cover normal wear and tear or blown
speakers, cut cords, bent plugs, scratc es and gouges, loss or t eft. You will void your warranty if you
disassemble your speaker or dip it in lava or water.
Problems? You can return t e product to t e store of purc ase and t ey will initiate t e warranty claim
and return t e product to Nixon for you. Alternatively, if you would like to return t e product directly to
us, please contact your closest Nixon Service Center and we’ll get you a Return Aut orization number and
provide you wit instructions on ow to initiate service. Headp ones sent back to us wit out a Return
Aut orization number will not receive service. Any claim made under t is warranty directly wit Nixon
will involve you returning t e defective goods to us, at your expense.
SPECIFIC TO NIXON SPEAKERS SOLD IN AUSTRALIA
Our goods come wit guarantees t at cannot be excluded from t e Australian Consumer Law. You are
entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any ot er reasonably
foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to ave t e goods repaired or replaced if t e goods fail
to be of acceptable quality or t e failure does not amount to a major failure.
