5. Connectallofthesignal line, cable,panel-control circuitandpowersupply
6. Poweron andFinishBIOSsetup
NOTE
KeycomponentsofthisCPUCardareIntegratedcircuit, andthesecomponentswillbe
easilydamagedbyelectrostaticinfluence.So,beforeinstallingthiscard,pleasefollowthe
followingprecautions:
1. Holdsidebytheedges;don't touchanycomponentorpinsontheboard
2.Useagrounded antistaticwriststrap/gloveswhiletouchingtheintegrated circuit
component s(suchasCPU, RAM).
3.When theintegrated circuitcomponentsareunused,plsputthesecomponentsin
antistatictrayorbags.
4.Plsmakesurethepowerisdisconnected beforeinserting thepowerplug.
2.3Install CentralProcessing Unit CPU)
TheCPUCardcomeswithasurfacemountLGA775 socketdesigned fortheIntel
multi-coreprocessorin the775 landpackage.

1Makesurethat allpowercablesareunplugged beforeinstallingtheCPU
2Connectthechassisfan cabletotheSYSFANconnectortoensuresystemstability.
3EnsurethismotherboardsupporttheCPUyouchoose, ifthedirection youinserted was
wrong,CPUmaybedamaged.Aftersystemboot, BIOSwill examine CPUtypeandfrequency
automatically,BIOSsettingwon tallowyoutochangetheCPUfrequency,inordertomake
systemworksteadily,pleasesetyourCPUexteriorfrequencybyitsspecification,andwedon t
suggestyouoverclockyourCPU.AtpresentmostIntel®CPUfrequencymultiplicationhave
been setwhen deliveredfromthefactory, can notbechanged.

2.3.1Installing theCPU
Toinstall aCPU
1LocatetheCPUsocketon theCPUcard.
2Press theloadleverwithyourthumbandpushtoleft(A),until itisreleased fromthe
retention tab (B).
3Lift theloadleverinthedirection ofthearrowtoa135ºangle.
4Lifttheloadplatewithyourthumbandforefingertoa100ºangle(A),thenpushthePnPcap
fromtheloadplatewindowtoremove(B).

5Position theCPUoverthesocket, makingsurethatthegold triangleison thebottom-left
cornerofthesocket then fitthesocketalignmentkeyintotheCPUnotch.
NOTE TheCPUfitsinonlyinonecorrect orientation.DONOTforcetheCPUintothesocket to
preventbending theconnectorsonthesocket anddamagingtheCPU!
6Closetheloadplate(A),thenpushtheloadlever(B) untilitsnapsintotheretentiontab.
2.3.2Install theCPUheatsinkand fan
Toinstall theCPUheatsinkand fan:
1Placetheheatsinkontop of theinstalledCPUandmakesurethat thefourfastenersmatch
theholeson themotherboard.

2Pushdowntwofastenersatatimeinadiagonal sequencetosecuretheheatsinkandfan
assemblyinplace.
3ConnecttheCPUfancabletotheconnectoronthemotherboardlabeledCPU_FAN.Donot
forgettoconnecttheCPUfanconnector!Hardwaremonitoringerrorswilloccurif you fail to
plugthisconnector.
NOTE: If youpurchasedaseparateCPUheatsinkand fan assembly,makesurethatyouhave
properlyapplied Thermal InterfaceMaterialtotheCPUheatsinkorCPUbeforeyou installthe
heatsinkandfan assembly.
2.3.3DismounttheCPUheatsinkand fan
TodismotheCPUheatsinkandfan:
1Disconnect theCPUfan cablefromtheconnectoron theCPUcard.
2Rotateeachfastenercounterclockwise.

3Pulluptwofastenersat atimeinadiagonal sequencetodisengagetheheatsinkandfan
assemblyfromtheCPUcard.
4CarefullyremovetheheatsinkandfanassemblyfromtheCPUcard.
