DDM SFPs
Any Digital Diagnostic Indicating (DDI) SFP can be used in any Ethernet
Routing Switch module that supports SFPs. The optical functions of the
SFP are supported. Access to the DDI information will be provided in
a future release.
Other changes
See the following sections for information about changes that are not
feature-related:
Document changes
The name of this document has changed from Installing SFP and XFP
Transceivers and GBICs (318034-D) to Installation — SFP, XFP, GBIC, and
OADM Hardware Components (NN46205-305). The New in this release
and Introduction sections are added. Compliance and warning information
is moved to "Safety and regulatory information" (page 11).
Extraction mechanisms
The information about SFP extraction mechanisms is updated. See
"Procedure job aid: locking and extractor mechanisms" (page 25).
XFP link budget
Link optical power budget specifications are added to each XFP
specifications table ("XFP specifications" (page 71)).
