HOW TO OPERATE
Now that your RETRO SERIES™ '50S-STYLE BLENDER is cleaned,
making perfect frozen drinks is both easy and fun!
1. First, nd a stable surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Make
sure the cord is away from any water source. Ensure that the Control Switch
is in the "0" position, then plug cord into the electrical outlet.
2. Fill the Pitcher with all necessary ingredients and place the Pitcher Lid back on the Pitcher.
It is best to begin by adding liquid ingredients, then following with solid ingredients.
Additional ingredients may be added by twisting and lifting the Blender Cap
NOTE: Do not exceed MAX ll line marked on the Pitcher.
3. Place the Pitcher onto the Base and lock into place.
4. To start blending, turn the Control Switch to the desired blending speed.
CAUTION: Do not place hands into Pitcher with blender plugged in.
5. Allow ingredients to blend to the desired consistency, then
return Control Switch to the "0" position.
6. Wait until all moving parts have stopped and the unit is unplugged
from the outlet before moving or cleaning the unit.
Drink up and enjoy!

HELPFUL TIPS
Blending
To achieve the best results when blending:
• Always add liquid to the Pitcher before adding solid ingredients.
This will ensure that ingredients are uniformly mixed.
• Cut most foods into cubes approximately ½" to 1" to achieve a more uniform result.
• To dislodge food, use a rubber spatula or plastic spoon to help remove food
lodged around the blade assembly. DO NOT use spatula until you have turned
off the blender. Make sure spatula is not inside the Pitcher before blending.
• To prolong the life of your RETRO SERIES™ '50S-STYLE BLENDER,
allow 5 minutes for unit to cool before using again.
• DO NOT overload the blender. If the motor stalls, turn the blender o immediately,
unplug the unit, and remove a portion of the food, then continue.
• DO NOT leave unit running for an extended period of time. This is not a commercial unit.
Odor
As with most modern blending appliances, this unit has a high RPM electric
motor. It is common for the motor to emit a slight graphite or burning odor
for the rst few uses. After the rst few uses, the odor will go away.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Follow these steps to keep your RETRO SERIES™ '50S-STYLE BLENDER in great condition:
1. Begin by disconnecting the unit from the electrical outlet. Remove plug by gripping the
plug body and pulling out of the outlet. Never yank or twist cord to unplug the unit.
2. Thoroughly wash the Pitcher and Blender Cap in warm, sudsy water and
thoroughly dry. DO NOT put the Base in water. To clean the Base, use a
damp cloth to wipe the exterior and dry with a clean, dry towel.
3. Once washing and drying is complete, reassemble your RETRO
SERIES™ '50S-STYLE BLENDER . It is now ready to use again.

Use your imagination to create many dierent drinks with your RETRO SERIES™
'50S-STYLE BLENDER. Below are several recipes to try. You can adjust the ingredients
to your particular taste, or create your own – so have fun! If you have a recipe
for a drink made for one, your RETRO SERIES™ '50S-STYLE BLENDER has the
capacity for 52 oz. of drink – so remember to adjust your recipes accordingly.
1 SHOT = 1½ ounces (45 ml)
1 CUP = 5.33 Shots (239.85 ml)
RESTAURANT-STYLE SALSA
• 1 28-oz. can
whole peeled
plum tomatoes
• 1 small yellow onion
• 1-2 jalapeno peppers
• 3 cloves garlic
• 1 ½ tsp. ground cumin
• 1 ½ tsp. salt
• ¼ to 1 tsp. granulated
sugar (optional)
• 1 to 2 handfuls
cilantro leaves
• 3 Tbsp. lime juice
• ¾ cup corn (optional)
• ¾ cup canned black
beans (optional)
• Corn chips, for serving
De-stem jalapeno peppers, then peel and roughly
chop onion, jalapeno peppers, and garlic.
Add all ingredients (except corn and black beans) to the
Pitcher, and Pulse until texture is as smooth as desired.
Taste the salsa and tweak as you see necessary.
Transfer salsa to a bowl and, if desired,
add the corn and black beans.
Serve with chips and enjoy!
SWEET ASIAN SALAD DRESSING
• ½ cup white
wine vinegar
• ¼ cup olive oil
• ¼ cup fresh or
frozen raspberries
• 2 tsp. honey
Place all ingredients in the Pitcher and blend until smooth.

STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI SLUSH WITH HONEYDEW MELON
• 1 12-ounce
Package of Frozen,
Unsweetened
Strawberries
• 1¹/3 Cup Light
Corn Syrup
• ²/3 Cup White Rum
• 3 Tablespoons of
Fresh Lime Juice
• ½ Fresh Honeydew
Melon, Seeded and
Cut Into ½ Inch Cubes
• Lime Slices for
Garnishing
Place all ingredients in the Pitcher and
blend until desired consistency.
Serves four.
APRICOT SMOOTHIE
• 2 Ounces of
White Rum
• 1 Ounce of Triple Sec
• 26 Ounces of
Apricot Juice
• ½ Ounce of Cream
Place all ingredients in the Pitcher and
blend until desired consistency.
Serves two.
KAHLUA COLADA
• 1½ Ounce of Kahlua
• ½ Ounce of Rum
• 2¼ Ounces of
Coconut Cream
• 2¼ Ounces of
Pineapple Juice
• ½ Ounce of Cream
Place all ingredients in the Pitcher and
blend until desired consistency.

MODE DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Maintenant que votre MÉLANGEUR RETRO SERIES™ STYLE DES ANNÉES 50
est propre, concocté des boissons glacées est facile et amusant !
1. Premièrement, trouver une surface stable, à proximité d'une prise de courant
avant de commencer. S'assurer que le cordon électrique est éloigné de
toute source d'eau. S'assurer que la Molette de commande est à la position
« 0 », ensuite brancher le cordon d'alimentation dans une prise.
2. Remplir le Pichet avec tous les ingrédients nécessaires et remettre le couvercle sur le Pichet.
Il est préférable de commencer par ajouter les ingrédients liquides, ensuite les ingrédients
solides. Des ingrédients supplémentaires peuvent être ajoutés en tournant et en soulevant
le Bouchon
REMARQUE : Ne pas dépasser la ligne de remplissage MAX engravé dans le Pichet.
3. Poser le Pichet sur la Socle et le verrouiller en place.
4. Pour commencer à mélanger, tourner la Molette de commande à la
vitesse de mélange désirée. CAUTION/MISE EN GARDE : Ne jamais
mettre les mains dans Pichet avec le mélangeur branché.
5. Permettre aux ingrédients de se mélanger à la consistance désirée,
puis remettre la Molette de commande à la position « 0 ».
6. Attendre jusqu'à ce que toutes les pièces mobiles soient arrêtées et
l'appareil débranché de la prise avant de le déplacer ou le nettoyer.

CONSEILS UTILES
Mixage
Pour obtenir les meilleurs résultats lors du mixage :
• Toujours mettre le liquide dans le Pichet avant d’ajouter les ingrédients solides.
Cela permettra de s'assurer que les ingrédients sont uniformément mélangés.
• Couper la plupart des aliments en cubes d'environs 1/2 à 1
po pour parvenir à un résultat plus uniforme.
• Pour déloger des aliments, utiliser une spatule en caoutchouc ou une cuillère
en plastique an d’éliminer la nourriture déposée autour des couteaux.
NE PAS utiliser de spatule avant d’avoir éteint le mélangeur. S’assurer
que la spatule ne soit pas oubliée dans le Pichet avant de mixer.
• Pour prolonger la durée de vie de votre MÉLANGEUR RETRO SERIES™ STYLE DES
ANNÉES 50, attendre 5 minutes pour que l'appareil se refroidisse avant de l'utiliser.
• NE PAS surcharger le mélangeur. Si le moteur cale, éteindre le mélangeur immédiatement,

Odeur
Comme la plupart des appareils modernes, ce mélangeur est muni d'un
moteur électrique à haut régime. Il est courant que le moteur émette
une odeur de brûler ou une légère odeur du graphite lors des premières
utilisations. Après les premières utilisations, l'odeur disparaîtra.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
Veuillez suivre ces étapes pour garder votre MÉLANGEUR RETRO
SERIES™ STYLE DES ANNÉES 50 en bonne condition :
1. Commencer par débrancher l’appareil de la prise électrique. Retirer la
che en la saisissant par le corps et en la retirant de la prise de courant.
Ne jamais tirer ou tordre le cordon pour débrancher l'appareil.
2. Laver soigneusement le Pichet et le Bouchon à l'eau chaude savonneuse et bien
sécher. NE PAS plonger le Socle dans l'eau. Pour nettoyer le Socle, utiliser un
linge humide pour essuyer l'extérieur, et sécher avec une serviette propre.
3. Une fois le lavage et le séchage terminé, remonter votre MÉLANGEUR RETRO
SERIES™ STYLE DES ANNÉES 50. Il est maintenant prêt à être réutilisé.

RECETTES
Utiliser votre imagination pour créer diérents types de boissons avec votre
MÉLANGEUR RETRO SERIES™ STYLE DES ANNÉES 50. Vous trouverez ci-dessous
plusieurs recettes à essayer. Vous pouvez ajuster les ingrédients à votre goût, ou créer
le vôtre vous-même - Amusez-vous bien ! Si vous avez la recette pour une dose de
boisson, votre MÉLANGEUR RETRO SERIES™ STYLE DES ANNÉES 50 a la capacité pour
en faire 1,5 l (52 oz) - donc n'oubliez pas d'ajuster vos recettes en conséquence.
1 CONSOMMATION = 1½ oz (45 ml)
1 TASSE = 5.33 Consommations (239,85 ml)
SALSA - STYLE RESTAURANT
• 1 boîte de 0,8 l (28 oz)
de tomates italiennes
entières et pelées
• 1 petit oignon jaune
• 1 à 2 piments
jalapenos
• 3 gousses d'ail
• 1 ½ c. à thé de
cumin moulu
• 1 ½ c. à thé de sel
• ¼ à 1 c. à thé de sucre
cristallisé (facultatif)
• 1 à 2 poignées de
feuilles de coriandre
• 3 cuillères à soupe
de jus de lime
• ¾ de tasse de maïs
• ¾ de tasse de
haricots noirs en
boîte (facultatif)
• Croustilles de
maïs, pour servir
Enlever la tige des piments jalapeno, ensuite peler et
hacher grossièrement l’oignon, les piments jalapenos et l’ail.
Mettre tous les ingrédients (sauf le maïs et les
haricots noirs) dans le Pichet, pulser jusqu’à ce
que la texture soit onctueuse à votre goût.
Goûter la salsa et rectier le goût au besoin.
Mettre la salsa dans un bol et, si désirée,
ajouter le maïs et les haricots noirs.
Servir avec les croustilles et apprécier !
VINAIGRETTE DOUCE POUR SALADE ASIATIQUE
• ½ tasse de vinaigre
de vin blanc
• ¼ de tasse
d'huile d'olive
• ¼ de tasse de
framboises fraîches
ou congelées
• 2 c. à thé de miel
Mettre tous les ingrédients dans le Pichet
et mixer jusqu’à l’homogénéité.
