VOOR HET GEBRUIK
Lees eerst zorgvuldig de gebruiksaanwijzing. Bewaar deze om later nog eens te kunnen raadplegen.
Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat. Sluit dit apparaat
alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.
De snoerloze waterkoker brengt in enkele minuten maximaal 1,7 liter water aan de kook. Door de van
de voet afneembare kan is de ketel bijzonder praktisch in het gebruik. Met controlelampje, thermostaat
en droogkookbeveiliging.
Plaats de NOVA Waterkettle Plus op een stevig en stabiel tafel- of werkblad, en wel zo dat het apparaat
niet gemakkelijk omgestoten kan worden.
GEBRUIK VAN DE WATERKOKER
Gebruik de waterkoker uitsluitend voor het aan de kook brengen van water, niet voor andere
vloeistoffen of andere ingrediënten. Kook eerst een volle kan water om de kan te reinigen; gooi dit water
weg.
Vul de kan altijd met een hoeveelheid water die tussen de vulstrepen voor minimum en maximum ligt. Bij
te weinig water zal de kan te vroeg uitschakelen, bij teveel kan het water overkoken. Bij het vullen de
kan altijd van de voet nemen, zodat er geen water in de voet gemorst kan worden.
Schakel de kan in door de aan-/uitknop onder de handgreep in te drukken. Het controlelampje gaat aan.
Zodra het water kookt, springt de aan-/uitknop automatisch terug in de uitstand.
Desgewenst kan men het water nog een keer laten koken door de knop weer in te drukken. Wacht hier-
mee echter minimaal dertig seconden nadat de kan automatisch uitgeschakeld is.
Indien de kan per abuis droog ingeschakeld wordt, schakelt de droogkookbeveiliging hem automatisch
uit. Door de kan daarna met water te vullen, koelt de droogkookbeveiliging weer af en kunt u de kan
weer gewoon gebruiken.
Let op:
• Neem de kan pas van de voet nadat deze automatisch uitgeschakeld is of schakel deze eerst met de
hand uit.
• Vul de kan niet verder dan tot het maatstreepje ‘MAX’, anders kan er kokend water uitgestoten worden.
• Gebruik de waterkoker alleen met de bijbehorende voet.
SCHOONMAKEN
HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT EN LAAT DE KAN AFKOELEN!
De buitenkant kan met een vochtige doek afgenomen worden. De voet dient altijd droog gereinigd te
worden.
ONTKALKEN
Gebruik een ontkalkingsmiddel dat geschikt is voor huishoudelijke apparaten, zoals koffiezetters.
Gebruik het middel volgens de aanwijzingen op de verpakking. Schakel de kan niet in tijdens het
ontkalken, maar laat het middel koud inweken. Spoel na het ontkalken de kan enige malen om met
schoon water.
NOVA RAADGEVINGEN
• Plaats het toestel op een stevig en stabiel oppervlak.
• Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder.
• De buitenkant van de waterkoker wordt heet. Pak de kan dus alleen bij de handgreep beet.
• Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van een tafel, werkblad, e.d. staat dat iemand het
eraf zou kunnen stoten. Zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover kan struikelen
of erachter kan blijven haken. Vergeet niet dat de kan gevuld is met heet water!
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het dan
naar onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd
snoer uitsluitend met speciaal gereedschap door onze servicedienst
vervangen worden.

• Plaats het apparaat niet op of in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat, o.i.d.
• Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen.
• Gebruik geen schurende of krassende schoonmaakmiddelen.

BEFORE USING
Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference.
Check that your domestic electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to
an earthed socket.
The cordless kettle boils up to 1.7 litres of water in a matter of minutes. The coffee pot can be removed
from the base which makes it highly practical. Complete with thermostat and boil-dry protection.
Set the NOVA Waterkettle Plus on a sturdy, stable table or counter where it cannot be easily knocked
over.
USING THE KETTLE
The kettle should be used exclusively for boiling water; never use it with other liquids or ingredients. First
boil a full pot of water to clean the pot and discard this water.
Always fill the pot between the minimum and maximum level markers. If insufficient water is used, the
kettle may switch off, with too much water it may boil over. Always remove the pot when filling it to avoid
water dripping into the base.
Switch it on by using the on/off button under the handle. The indicator lamp will be illuminated. Once the
water has boiled, the on/off switch returns automatically to the off position.
If desired, the water can be boiled again by pressing the button once more. Always wait for 30 seconds
after it has switched off automatically.
If the appliance is accidentally switched on when empty, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it
off. Adding water will then cool the boil-dry protection mechanism enabling you to use the kettle as normal.
Please note:
• Do not remove the pot from its base until it has switched off automatically or you have switched it off
yourself first.
• Do not fill the pot higher than the MAX level indicator or boiling water may spray out.
• The kettle may only be used with the accompanying base.
CLEANING
FIRST REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET AND ALLOW THE POT TO COOL.
Use a damp cloth to wipe off the outside of the machine. The base should always be cleaned without
water.
DESCALING
Use a descaling agent suitable for household appliances, such as coffee machines. Follow the instruc-
tions on the packaging. Do not switch the kettle on during descaling, but allow the agent to soak in while
the kettle is still cool. Rinse the pot several times with clean water.
NOVA ADVICE
• Set the kettle on a sturdy, stable surface.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• The exterior of the kettle can become quite hot. Only pick up the pot using the handle.
• Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of the table or work surface that someone could
knock it off. Also, ensure that the cord is not trailing where someone could trip over it. Remember: the
appliance contains hot water!
• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or if the cable is damaged. Instead, send it to our service
department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cable should only
be replaced by our service department using special tools.

• Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning products.

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter E or and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW

AVANT L'EMPLOI
Veuillez lire attentivement ce mode d'emploi que vous conserverez soigneusement afin de pouvoir vous
y reporter en cas de besoin.
Assurez-vous que le voltage de votre logement correspond à celui indiqué sur l'appareil. Raccorder
l’appareil uniquement à une prise de terre.
La bouilloire sans fil permet de faire bouillir 1,7 litre d’eau en quelques minutes. La bouilloire se détache
de son socle ce qui la rend très pratique à utiliser. La bouilloire est pourvue d’un voyant lumineux, d’un
thermostat et d’un dispositif de sécurité anti-usage à sec.
Placer la bouilloire NOVA Waterkettle Plus sur une table ou un plan de travail stable de telle sorte qu’on
ne puisse pas la faire tomber par mégarde.
UTILISATION DE LA BOUILLOIRE
Utiliser la bouilloire uniquement pour faire bouillir de l’eau. Ne pas l’utiliser pour tout autre liquide ou
d’autres ingrédients. Faire d’abord bouillir une pleine bouilloire pour la nettoyer; ne pas utiliser cette eau.
Toujours remplir la bouilloire de façon à ce que le niveau d’eau arrive entre les traits minimum et
maximum. S’il n’y a pas suffisamment d’eau, la bouilloire s’arrêtera trop tôt et s’il y en a trop, l’eau
pourra déborder. Toujours détacher le récipient de son socle pour le remplir d’eau afin de ne pas
renverser de l’eau à l’intérieur du socle.
Allumez la bouilloire en appuyant sur l’interrupteur Marche/Arrêt situé sous la poignée. Le voyant
lumineux s'allume. Dès que l’eau bout, la bouilloire s’arrête automatiquement et l’interrupteur revient
en position Arrêt.
Si vous désirez refaire bouillir l’eau encore une fois, il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton. Mais attendre au
moins 30 secondes après l’arrêt automatique de la bouilloire.
Si par inadvertance la bouilloire est allumée sans contenir d’eau, le système de sécurité anti-usage
à sec se déclenchera automatiquement pour l’arrêter. Remplissez alors la bouilloire d’eau, ce qui fera
refroidir le dispositif de sécurité, et vous pourrez de nouveau utiliser la bouilloire normalement.

Attention :
• Ne détacher la bouilloire de son socle qu’après l’arrêt automatique ou l’éteindre d’abord à la main.
• Ne jamais remplir la bouilloire au–delà du niveau “MAX” sinon l’eau bouillante déborderait.
• Utiliser uniquement cette bouilloire avec le socle fourni.
ENTRETIEN
ENLEVEZ D'ABORD LA FICHE DE LA PRISE ET LAISSEZ LA BOUILLOIRE REFROIDIR !
Nettoyez l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un chiffon humide. Le socle doit toujours être nettoyé à sec.
DETARTRAGE
Utilisez un produit détartrant qui convient pour les appareils ménagers tels que
cafetières électriques. Reportez-vous aux indications figurant sur le paquet du produit. Ne pas allumer
l’appareil pendant le détartrage, laisser agir le produit à froid. Bien rincer la bouilloire à l’eau douce à
plusieurs reprises après le détartrage.
CONSEILS NOVA
• Poser l’appareil sur une surface solide et stable.
• Ne jamais plonger l’appareil dans l’eau ni dans tout autre liquide.
• La partie extérieure de la bouilloire devient très chaude. Saisir la bouilloire uniquement par sa
poignée.
• Ne pas placer l’appareil au bord d’une table, plan de travail, etc., pour éviter qu’on ne le renverse par
mégarde ; veiller également à ce que personne ne puisse trébucher sur le cordon. Ne pas oublier que
la verseuse est remplie d’eau brûlante !
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil s’il est défectueux ou si le cordon est endommagé, mais le renvoyer à notre
service après-vente. La réparation du cordon de ce type d’appareils exige des outils spéciaux et ne
peut être effectuée que par notre service après-vente.
• Ne pas placer l’appareil sur ou à proximité d’une plaque de cuisson chaude, etc.
• Retirer toujours la fiche de la prise avant de nettoyer l’appareil ou s’il est défectueux.
• Ne pas utiliser de produits abrasifs ou agressifs.

Die Gebrauchsanweisung in Ruhe durchlesen und aufheben, um später noch einmal nachlesen zu
können. Überprüfen, ob die Netzspannung in der Wohnung der des Geräts entspricht. Das Gerät nur
an eine geerdete Steckdose anschließen.
Der Wasserkocher ohne Kabel bringt in wenigen Minuten maximal 1,7 Liter Wasser zum Kochen. Durch
die vom Fuß abnehmbare Kanne ist der Wasserkocher besonders praktisch im Gebrauch. Er ist mit
einem Thermostat und einer Trockenkochsicherung ausgestattet.
Den NOVA Waterkettle Plus auf einen festen und stabilen Tisch oder eine Arbeitsplatte stellen, sodass
er nicht umgestoßen werden kann.
GEBRAUCH DES WASSERKOCHERS
Den Wasserkocher ausschließlich zum Kochen von Wasser benutzen, nicht für andere Flüssigkeiten
oder Zutaten. Vor dem Erstgebrauch eine volle Kanne Wasser kochen lassen, um die Kanne zu reini-
gen. Dieses Wasser wegschütten.
Das Wasserniveau in der Kanne muss immer zwischen der Minimum- und der Maximumanzeige liegen.
Bei zu wenig Wasser schaltet sich die Kanne aus, bei zu viel Wasser kann sie überkochen. Beim Füllen
die Kanne immer vom Fuß nehmen, so dass kein verschüttetes Wasser in den Fuß laufen kann.
Die Kanne lässt sich ausschalten, durch das Eindrücken des Ein-Aus-Schalters auf dem Griff. Das
Kontrolllämpchen leuchtet auf. Sobald das Wasser kocht, springt der Ein-Aus-Schalter automatisch in
den Aus-Stand zurück.
Auf Wunsch kann das Wasser noch einmal zum Kochen gebracht werden, dazu den Schalter erneut
eindrücken. Nach dem automatischen Ausschalten jedoch minimal 30
Sekunden warten und erst dann den Schalter erneut eindrücken.

Falls die Kanne ohne Wasser eingeschaltet wird, schaltet die Trockenkochsicherung den Wasserkocher
automatisch aus. Wird die Kanne danach mit Wasser gefüllt, kühlt die Trockenkochsicherung wieder ab
und kann die Kanne normal benutzt werden.
Achtung:
• Die Kanne erst vom Fuß nehmen, nachdem sich der Wasserkocher automatisch ausgeschaltet hat
oder manuell ausgeschaltet wurde.
• Die Kanne niemals voller als bis zur „MAX“-Anzeige füllen, da sonst kochendes Wasser herausspritzen
kann.
• Den Wasserkocher ausschließlich mit dem dazugehörigen Fuß benutzen.
REINIGUNG
ERST DEN STECKER AUS DER STECKDOSE ZIEHEN UND DIE KANNE ABKÜHLEN LASSEN!
Die Außenseite mit einem feuchten Tuch abwischen. Den Fuß immer trocken reinigen.
ENTKALKEN
Ein für Haushaltsgeräte wie z.B. für Kaffeemaschinen geeignetes Entkalkungsmittel verwenden.
Dabei die Hinweise auf der Verpackung des entsprechenden Mittels beachten. Die Kanne während des
Entkalkens nicht einschalten, sondern das Mittel kalt einwirken lassen. Nach dem Entkalken die Kanne
einige Male mit sauberem Wasser ausspülen.
NOVA-TIPPS:
• Das Gerät auf eine feste und stabile Unterlage stellen.
• Das Gerät nie in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten tauchen.
• Die Außenseite des Wasserkochers kann ziemlich warm werden. Die Kanne deshalb nur am Griff anf-
assen.
• Das Gerät nicht so nahe an den Tischrand oder an den Rand einer Arbeitsfläche o. Ä. stellen, dass es
herabgestoßen werden kann. Dafür sorgen, dass das Kabel nicht so herabhängt, dass man darüber
stolpern und darin hängen bleiben kann. Nicht vergessen, dass die Kanne mit heißem Wasser gefüllt
ist!
• Ein defektes Gerät oder ein Gerät mit defektem Kabel nicht benutzen, sondern an unseren
Kundendienst schicken. Ein beschädigtes Kabel kann bei diesen Geräten ausschließlich mit
Spezialwerkzeug von unserem Kundendienst ausgetauscht werden.
• Das Gerät niemals auf oder in unmittelbare Nähe einer heißen Kochplatte o. Ä. stellen.
• Vor dem Reinigen oder bei Störungen immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
• Keine scheuernden oder aggressiven Reinigungsmittel benutzen.

Compruebe si la tensión de la red en su vivienda coincide con la del aparato. Conecte este aparato
únicamente a un enchufe con toma de tierra.
Este hervidor de agua sin cable hierve hasta 1,7 litros de agua en cuestión de minutos. La jarra de
café se puede quitar de la base, siendo por ello muy práctico. Incluye termostato y protección
anticalentamiento en seco.
Coloque el NOVA Waterkettle Plus sobre una mesa o superficie sólida y estable donde nadie la pueda
volcar.
USO DEL HERVIDOR
El hervidor sólo debe usarse para hervir agua; no lo use nunca con otros líquidos o ingredientes.
Primero, hierva una jarra llega de agua para limpiarla y tire dicha agua.
Debe llenar siempre la jarra entre los indicadores de nivel mínimo y máximo. Si no se introduce agua
suficiente, el hervidor puede desconectarse y con demasiada agua puede rebosar. Aparte siempre la
jarra para llenarla para evitar que caiga agua en la base.

Enciéndalo mediante el botón de encendido/apagado de debajo del asa. Se encenderá el piloto luminoso.
Una vez ha hervido el agua, el botón de encendido/apagado cambia automáticamente a la posición de
apagado.
Si lo desea, puede hacer hervir de nuevo el agua volviendo a pulsar el botón. Debe esperar siempre 30
segundos después de que se haya apagado automáticamente.
Si el utensilio se enciende por error cuando está vacío, la protección anticalentamiento en seco lo
apagará automáticamente. Si añade agua, el mecanismo de protección anticalentamiento en seco se
enfriará y ya podrá usar el hervidor con normalidad.
Nota importante:
• No retire la jarra de la base hasta que se haya apagado automáticamente o usted mismo lo haya
apagado.
• No llene la jarra por encima del indicador de nivel MAX para evitar que sobresalga el agua hirviendo.
• El hervidor sólo debe usarse con la base incluida.
LIMPIEZA
PRIMERO DESCONECTE EL ENCHUFE DE LA TOMA DE CORRIENTE Y DEJE ENFRIAR LA JARRA.
Limpie el exterior del utensilio con un paño húmedo. La base se debe limpiar siempre sin agua.
DESCALCIFICACIÓN
Use productos descalcificadores adecuados para utensilios domésticos, como cafeteras. Consulte
las instrucciones suministradas. No conecte el hervidor durante la descalcificación; debe dejar que
el producto se diluya con el hervidor en frío. Aclare la jarra varias veces con agua limpia.
CONSEJOS NOVA
• Coloque el aparato sobre una superficie sólida y estable.
• No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua o en otro líquido.
• La parte exterior del hervidor puede calentarse mucho. Coja la jarra exclusivamente por el asa.
• Asegúrese de no dejar el aparato muy cerca del borde de la mesa, encimera, etc. para que nadie lo
pueda volcar. Asegúrese asimismo de que el cable no cuelgue de modo que nadie pueda tropezar
con el mismo. Recuerde: ¡este utensilio contiene agua caliente!
• No use el aparato si éste o el cable están dañados. En tal caso, llévelo a nuestro servicio técnico.
En este tipo de aparato, un cable averiado únicamente puede ser reemplazado por nuestro servicio
técnico mediante herramientas especiales.
• No coloque el aparato encima o muy cerca de una placa de cocción caliente, o similar.
• Desenchufe siempre el aparato antes de limpiarlo y en caso de anomalías.
• No utilice productos de limpieza abrasivos.

NOVA Warranty • Repairs will be carried out under guarantee if proof of the guarantee period can be produced in the form of a receipt and a completed guarantee form.
For information concerning the cost of repairs outside of the garantee period, please contact your dealer.
• A guarantee of three months duration is given on all repairs carried out by Nova Service. If an article has been previously repaired please include the old
repair receipt.
• If an article repaired under guarantee immediatly malfunctions due to the same fault, it will be replaced with a new article. We request you to state this clearly. • The guarantee does not cover articles which malfunction due to misuse.

neuf. Veuillez le mentionner clairement.
