NOTE: It is much easier and safer to assemble this device with help from a second
person.
On one of the bent ends of the “PULLEY HANGER”, it will have a
locking notch on the side. With the “PULLEY HANGER”, turned
upwards, slide that end into the triangle opening of the door
bracket.
Once the locking notch slides completely through the “DOOR
BRACKET”, turn the “PULLEY HANGER” downwards and slide
on both “PULLEY MECHANISMS.
Squeeze the “PULLEY HANGER” and insert the bent end
into the hole at the bottom of the “DOOR BRACKET”.
Once assembled, install the “DOOR BRACKET” over the top
of an interior door. Ensure the “DOOR BRACKET” is centered
on the door and the top of the bracket is pushed all the way
down. Close the door after secured.
NOTE: Make sure that no one opens the door while you are
using the traction device. If possible, lock the door so that no
one can open it while you are attached to the traction device.

step by step
instructions

Ensure that both “PULLEY MECHANISMS” are on
the outside of both locking notches as shown.
Using the “TRACTION ROPE”, tie a “Traction Knot” through the metal loop
hanger at the top of the “WEIGHT BAG”. Once the knot is tied, pull on both the
“TRACTION ROPE” and “WEIGHT BAG” to tighten the knot. Check the knot to
make sure it is secure. (Refer to steps A-D under “HOW TO TIE A TRACTION
KNOT”). Allow approximately 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 centimeters) at the end. This
extra length of rope will allow you to adjust the knot if needed.
NOTE: The more weight that is put on the rope, the tighter the knot will get.

At the top of the “WEIGHT BAG”, open the red drainage cap and fill the “WEIGHT
BAG” with the prescribed amount of water. Once filled, tightly close and seal the
red drainage cap.
Thread the free end of the “TRACTION ROPE” through both “PULLEY MECHANISMS”
with the “WEIGHT BAG” at the closest point to the door.

Using the “TRACTION ROPE” and “S-HOOK”, tie another “Traction Knot” through
the closed end of the “S-HOOK”. Once the knot is tied, pull on both the “TRACTION
ROPE” and “S-HOOK” to tighten the knot. Check the knot to make sure it is secure.
(Refer to steps A-D under “HOW TO TIE A TRACTION KNOT”). Allow approximately
2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 centimeters) at the end. This extra length of rope will allow
you to adjust the knot if needed.
NOTE: Before each use, ensure that all knots are tight, all hardware is secure, and
rope is not frayed. Ensure that the rope is in the pulley wheel grooves and moves
freely so that the rope does not come off-track and bind between the pulley
wheels and casing.

BAR”.
NOTE: Check with your physician on placement either facing away from or
facing towards door and place accordingly
12 Unfasten the Velcro straps of the “HEAD HALTER” and
slip head through the opening. The part of the “HEAD
HALTER” that has the straps sewn onto it goes behind
the head. The Velcro straps should hang down.
On the opposite end of the “HEAD HALTER”, place chin on the padded portion of
the chin rest. Bring the Velcro straps under the ears and fasten the Velcro straps
underneath the chin rest along the jaw.
Place the metal D-rings of the “HEAD HALTER” evenly into one of
the three slots located on each side of the “SPREADER BAR”.
The D-rings must be placed into the same slot on each side of
the “SPREADER BAR”. If necessary, position a straight-back chair
against the door underneath the bracket and pulley assembly.
Otherwise, patient should stand under the bracket and pulley
assembly facing away from or towards the door.
NOTE: Each slot on the “SPREADER BAR” provides various
degrees of tension.
