Notice
1.Please pull out the plug from socket if not use the player for along time .
2.Voltage range: AC 110V-240V . Confirm local electric wire netting voltages in this player's work voltage range .
3.Please confirm that all the connecting wires and power wires be connected correctly before switching on the power. And set
free volume of the connected AVplayer to minimum , regulate volume according to the needagain after playing normally , so as
not to damage the AV player or loudspeaker.
4.Neither let this player close to high-power audio amplifier nor place them at the one tableboard , so as not to influence a normal
job of this player. 5.Keep ventilation and dry , keep away from heat resource , vibration , moisture and dust.
6.To avoid the electric shock or fire caused by the leaking liquid , do not put containers with liquid on this player, such as cup or
vase , etc .
7.When moved to warm place from relatively cold place , the laser head may dew and can't work normally . In case of this
situation , it will work in order in 1-2 hours after the power being switched on (no disc being inserted). 8.Clean the player with little
neutral detergent. Be sure not to use chemical such as alcohol, etc .

scratched discs or those bearing fingerprint or other blemishes .

Connection DVD -4- Basic Operating -5-
Connection With TV Set Playing
1 .If your TV set bears an AV port, connect this player
to it with the attached audio/video wires and then
set the TV set at AV mode after checking . (shown
as figure®)
2.If your TV set bears S-video terminal , connect this
player to it with S terminal connecting wire
(optional) to for high quality picture . (shown as
figure (2))
3.If your TV set bears a component input port (also
known as chromatic aberration input) , connect
component output terminals of this player and input
terminal of the TV set correspondingly with 3
connecting wires (optional) , and then press "
VIDEO" key on remote controller to switch this
player at YUV mode for vivid picture . (shown as
figure ®)
4.If your TV set bears a component input port and
supports progressive scanning , connect according
to NO.3 then press "VIDEO" key on remote
controller to switch this player at YUV progressive
output mode for better picture.
5.If the TV set will be builtin one or more SCART input
socket. Use the SCART cable to connect between
the DVD receiver and the TV correctly.
1.Check all the connections before starting the unit, then insert the power plug in AC power supply socket.
2.Press "POWER" key on panel to switch on the power and display logo icon on screen .
3.Press "OPEN/CLOSE" key to eject the disc tray and place the disc on it .(Note : the lettered surface upward).
4.Press the key once more to enter the tray , and CD discs will enter auto play several seconds later; DVD , MP3 etc. with title
directory will enter menu mode . At this time press direction control keys on remote controller to move cursor to the desired
track , then press "ENTER" key to play * Set size of the picture via aspect ratio ofthe connectedTV set
screen referring to "Systen Setup".
Video Output Modes
Switch the video output modes . Connectreferring to "ConnectionWith TV Set", then press"VIDEO" key on remote controller to
select output mode . There are 4 for selection :
Play System
Press "PIN" key according to discs to select play system from "NTSC","PAL" and "AUTO" fora good visual effect.
Audio Switch
LWhen playing DVD music disc , press "Audio" key to switch audio channels .
2.When playing discs recordedin multichannel format, press "Audio" key to select from different audio channels . (Just for discs
recorded in multichannel format).
Select one group of audio output connections .
* Switch off the power before connecting .
* Turn to system of this player to fit the TV system when playing discs with different systems .(NTSC/PAL/AUTO).
* Just select one group connecting wire among video connecting wire , S-terminal connecting wire , component video
connecting wires to guarantee the pictures'quality .
* Do not connect digital coaxial output terminal of DVD player to analog input terminal of AV player.
* Do not turn on/off frequently , and keep the interval more than 10 seconds .Ground the grounding terminal
* .

If the TV has HDMI input ,contact the DVD player and make
the setting as follows:
1) Contact the DVD player to your TV with composite cable
(yellow) ,then press SETUP button on remote control
2) In setup menu, select the HD Output menu, then changethe
Mode to 720p or 1080i or 1080p
3) Contact the DVD player to your TV with HDMI
4) Change Video input on your TV to HDMI
Notes:
·Refer to the owner's manual of the connected TV as well
·When you connect the DVD video player to your TV, be sure to turn off the
power and unplug both units from the wall outlet before making any connection
·If you have a HDMI(with HDCP) equipped monitor or display, you can connections
it to this player using a HDMI cable
·The HDMI connector outputs uncompressed digital video, as well as almost every
kind of digital audio that the player is compatible with, including DVD-Video,
Video CD/SVCD/CD,MP3/WMA/JPEG
·This unit has been designed to be compliant with HDMI(High Definition Multimedia
Interface) Version1.2b depending on the component you have connected. Using a
HDMI connection may result in unreliable signal transfers
·When using HDMI cable, do not connect to other analog video outputs
·Because HDMI is an evolving technology, it is possible that some devices with an
HDMI input may not operate properly with this DVD Video player
·No sound will be output from the HDMI cable if the Digital out is not set to PCM
·If the TV with HDMI doesn't support DTS output decoding when playing DTS CD
discs, there will be noise during HDMI output.

Onscreen Display
When playing , press "DISPLAY" key to display the current title , chapter , track , total tracks, playing time of current track , playing
time of current chapter, cancel character on TV screen .
DVD Menu-Play
Connection With Dolby Digital AV Player
The Dolby Digital System (also named AC-3) developed by the Dolby Lab applies high quality surround sound technique . When
playing household AC-3 discs , you will enjoy high quality sound effect once more .
Connect this player and AV player bearing Dolby Digital decoder with and coaxial connecting wire (optional).
1 .Most DVD discs have two menus used to select "Play movie" , "Segment selection", "Language selection", etc . which called
"DVD directory menu" and "DVD title menu" . Generally , "DVD directory menu" is used for multiple selection , "DVD title menu" for
title and chapter selection . Some DVD discs may use no "DVD title menu" , where all contents are placed in the "DVD directory
menu". When playing , press "TITLE" key to enter DVD directory menu .
Volume Control
Connection With 5.1 CH AV Player
* Switch off the power before connecting .
* Go to "SPEAKER SETUP", set "DOWNMIX" as
"OFF".
* Make reference to manual for AV player.
* Conditions are commended as follows for best
surround sound :
(1) Use high performance loudspeaker.
(2) Use surround loudspeakers and middle placed
loudspeakers compatible to proposed loudspeakers in
size and performance.
(3) All loudspeakers should be placed at the same
distance to the audience.
The unique digital volume control of this player enables volume adjusted with "VOL+" and "VOL-" keys.
Track Select And Search
1 .When playing DVD or MP3 disc under directory menu , move the cursor with direction keys on remote controller to a desired
track , then press "ENTER" key .You can doit with digital keysalso .When playing CDdisc , pressthe corresponding digital keys
to select desired track . Press "10+" key and digital keys to select the tracks whose sequence number is 10th and upward .
2.When playing , press "NEXT" to skip one track forwards and "PREV" to skip backwards .
3.Press "F.F" or "F.B" keys to search picture quickly forwards or backwards .
Resume Play
There may be something to do when you are watching , then do as follows :
Method 1 : Press "pause" key to display "PAUSE " on screen, and the player pauses , press "play" or "ENTER" it once more to
continue playing from the pause point.
Method 2 : Press "STOP" key once to display "PRE STOP " on screen .Press "ENTER" key to play from the stop point. When
playing , press "STOP" key to pause and then resume playing with pressing "ENTER" key . Press it twice to stop and then
it will return to original status. Press "ENTER" key it will play fromoriginal status.
Mute
When playing , press "MUTE" key to display "MUTE" on screen and remove the output sound with picture played normally . Press it
once more to cancel mute and return to normal.

Replay MP3Play
Press "REPEAT" key continuously to replay orcancel replay .
Track replay : replay the current track . Chapter replay : replay
the current chapter. Title replay : replay the current title .
MP3 is a compression format for sound signal which adopts the 3rd layer of audio compression mode in the international standard
MPEG . With MP3 format , a compact disc may record up to over 600 minutes' music or over 150 songs with similar timbre to
CD disc .
I.Basic operation (examples):After inserting a disc , this player begins to search information and display main directory on TV
screen .
Replay of Appointed Parts (A-B)
1.To enjoy repeatedly some segment ,
press'W-B" key to set the start point and press
the key once more to set the end point.E.g.:

Move the cursor to some directory with direction keys " " , and press "ENTER" key to enter it. Press " " key to return to
previous directory. Enter the directory which the MP3 file located, and then select tracks with direction keys and "ENTER" or

Programmed (Preset) Play
1 .When playing normally , press "PROGRAM" key to display program menu on TV screen , then press digital keys in turn when the
tracks to be programmed and move the cursor to "PLAY" column , pressing "ENTER" or "PLAY" keys for an in-order play of the
programmed tracks
2.During programmed playing , press "PROGRAM" key to entry "program"menu use" ' key to select "clear" to clear
the content. Then seleet "play" to exit with the programmed tracks memorized.
• Digital keys are of no effect in programmed play mode .
Picture Zooming
When playing , press "ZOOM" key continuously to zoom in the picture by 2 , 3 and 4 times , zoom out by 1/2 , 1/3 and 1/4 with
normal sound output . Press the key once more when the picture getting 1/4 size to return to normal play .
* When playing , press "NEXT" and "PREV" keys to select tracks of the current directory .
* When playing , press "REPEAT" key continuously to select "REP 1"—»"REP DIR"—»"REPALL"—»"OFF".
* "REP 1" :Replay the current track . "REPDIR": Replay all tracks in the current directory . "REP ALL": Replayall tracks in the
current disc.
* It's not malfunction of the player that some discs can't be played smoothly which dues to their exception record .
* If not recorded in standard manner, the mark numbers on the disc's cover may not accordant to the actual numbers .
2.Other operations:
The player has functions of mute , volume control , pause , select forwards and backwards when playing MP3 disc, which
operatedthe same as playing CD disc.

For some DVD discs with scenes shot from different angles , press "ANGLE" key to select different angles to watch the same
scene .
Note : This function just for the discs with multi-angle scenes .

Kodak Picture CD. JPEG Picture Disc Play
1 .Insert JPEG disc , the player begins to search disc information and display main
directory on TV screen as follows :

When playing , press "RETURN" key to returnto menu .
2. Move the cursor to some directory with direction keys " ", and press "ENTER" or" " key to enter it. Press " " key to
return to previousdirectory .
* When playing , press " " and " " keys to select pictures to play .
* When playing , press "REPEAT" key continuously to select "REP 1"—»"REP DIR"—>"REP ALL"—>"OFF".
* "REP 1": Replay the current picture . "REP DIR" : Replay all the pictures in the current directory . "REP ALL": Replay all the
pictures in the current disc .
3. Play Kodak picture CD or other JPEG picture disc
This player can decode JPEG picture files and Kodak picture CD.
* For some TV sets , the picture edges may be distorted in playing of JPEG picture disc which is not malfunction of thisplayer
* Digital picture disc with the extension name "JPG" can be played , "JPG" picture files modified with Adobe Photoshop also is
supported . Picture files with other formats can't be played .
4.Zoom
Press "ZOOM" key to zoom in 2 , 3 , 4 , zoom out 1/2 , 1/3 , 1/4 and cancel zooming function (zooming in/out) .
•When zooming , slide show transition are disabled .
Card(SD/MS/MMC).USB play
AtNodiscstate.insertthecard or USB, card and USB it can support for the MP3.WMA.JPEG.MPEG4 document. The
Operation is the same as MP3.WMA.JPEG.MPEG4.
DVD Setup Menu
Do system setup as follows according to recording information of DVD disc and
external equipments to get the best effect .
1 .Press "SETUP" key to enter main setup menu anddisplayonTV as follows :
2. Select setup menu with direction keys " ", then select some item of the
menu with direction keys " " and enter it with "ENTER" key at last.
E.g.: Select "SPEAKER SETUP" , and display the subdirectory on TV screen
as follows:
Enter setup menu , and select "DOWNMIX" with direction keys " " , then
press "ENTER" key and select "STEREO" item with " " , confirm with
"ENTER" key. 3.Select "EXIT SETUP" with direction keys then press "ENTER" to confirm . Or
you
can press "SETUP" to exit directly . • The result of above operating is to set speaker as
"STEREO".

4. Password
Press "ENTER" key after inputting password to activate or
close up password . When close up password , you can input
freely 4 numbers as password for next start-up . The original
password :0000 Input the original password when starting first or you forget the password you set, and set "PASSWORD" as
"ON".
5.Rating
Content ofdiscs with locking function is rated ,you can select age controlling grade according to the disc and your demand . e.g.:
Violence scenes not suitable for children won't be played if select KID SAFE".Select KID SAFE" with direction keys and confirm
with "ENTER" key , content above KID SAFE can't be played , KID SAFE and below can be played smoothly . The grades are
listed in RATTING column from KID SAFE to ADULT . Note : Set up age controlling grades just when password is activated .
Then close up password to lock the set grade .

--AUDIO SETUP- Set audio output format.
SPDIF/OFF : close up coaxial and optical output.
SPDIF/RAW : select this item when connect DVD player and power
amplifier via coaxial and optical interface . Coaxial and optical outputs in the
corresponding format (RAW) when playing DVD discs recorded in Dolby
digital or MPEG format.
SPDIF/PCM : select this item when the player connected to 5.1 CH digital
amplifier.
Note : For some CD discs recorded in special format , set "AUDIO OUT" as
"SPDIF/OFF" otherwise there will be no analog audio output.

LT/RT : select this item when playing discs with PRO Logic Dolby stereo .
Sound in center and surround channels wil be distributed into stereo channel
after decoding .
STEREO : normal stereo signal outputs when the player is at 2 channel
output mode .

OFF : Set up the function,you can setup 5.1 ch output.

1. Output mode
LINE OUT : do linear compression for input signal and suit night with low volume .
RF REMOD : suit daytime with high volume .
2.Dynamic range
Select this item to adjust linear compression ratio to get different compression effects when "OP MODE" is set as "LINE OUT".
At FULL , the audio signal has the largest VPPwhile the smallestone at OFF .
3.Dual mono
Set signal output modes of L/R channel : stereo , mono left, mono right and mix mono .

Chapter 1 Basic Remote Control Features
1. POWER Software Power On/Off
Pressing <POWER> while the machine is off will turn on the machine, and
turn it off if it is already on.
2. VOL+/-
Pressing <VOL+> increases the volume, pressing <VOL->decreases the volume. A volume
barwill be displayed on the screen.
3. MUTE
Pressing <MUTE> will mute the audio, and display "Mute" on the screen. Pressing
mute again will unmute audio.
4. DVD/DVB System Mode
Switch between DVB and DVD operation. This button has no effect in the system is in DVD
modewhile reading disc type.
5. RETURN
Pressing<RETURN>from a setup menuwillgoupone level inthe menu. For DVB full-screen play
mode, pressing <RETURN> the channel will reture the last memory play.
6. UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT
Used to navigate menus. When not in a menu, there are also DVB-specific Uses foreach
button.Pressing<UP>/<DOWN>will go the the next/previous channel, in the list of all channels.
Pressing <RIGHT>/<LEFT>will go the next/previous channel of the channel class list.
7. TITLE/TTX
IN DVB mode press <TTX>button will display teletext informa tion if channel have teletext informatin

8. SETUP
Pressing <SETUP> will enter the setup menu. Within the setup menu in DVB mode,
Pressing <SETUP>willgoupone level in the menu, or exit the setup menu if already at the top level.
9. ZOOM
Press <ZOOM> multiple times to enlarge (2X, 3X, 4X) or shrink (1/2, 1/3, 1/4) the
display, in that order. The OSD will display the current zoom mode.
10. NUM Number
For DVB mode, use <0> to <9> to directly input a two digital
channel number. The <10+> key has no effect in this mode.
11. AUDIO
In DVB mode, use this button to select different
languages on the current channel.
12. L/R
Press <L/R> to select between Stereo, Mono Left, and Mono Right audio Channels.
13. DISPLAY
In DVB mode, press <DISPLAY> to bring up the program detail information display,
which has information regarding this channel, as shown in Figure .(3)

8. GOTO
In DVB mode, pressing
<GOTO> will enter the Auto Scan menu, as shown in Figure (2).

14. ENTER
Pressing <ENTER>willenterthe selected item in a menu.
15. PROG/EPG
In DVB mode, pressing <PROG/EPG> will display the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) Menu,if the
channel have EPG znformation will Display in EPG menu.
16. P/N PAL/NTSC
Switch between PAL and NTSC TV output formats. Formats are NTSC, PAL, and AUTO.
17. TV/RADIO
In DVB mode , press.(TV/RADIO) to switch between television and
radio mode.
18. VCR
If connect the VCR Scart to the recordTV scart of,the signal then Can be output from
the local TV To Scart.as show in Figure(5).
Chapter 2 Operation Guide
1. Turning on the Machine
Press the <POWER> button on the remote control to turn on the machine. The Sunplus logo
should be displayed, as in Figure (6). The machine will enter the DVD mode (DVD or DVB) that it
was in when last turned off. If thema chine enters DVD mode, it will check thedisc type and
automatically start playback. For DVB mode, it will select the last channel watched, and set Ul
language to English. Iftherewasno last channel watched, or it is the first time powered-on, a
message will appear, asking if the user wants to run the First Time Installation Wizard.
2.First Time Setup
In Figure (7), a message appears, asking the user if he/she wants to run the First Time Installation Wizard.
Upon selecting "Yes" , a new boxappears, shown in Figure (8), asking for country, OSDlanguage. Use the
arrow keys to make the correct selections. Select "Next" and press<ENTER>to proceed to the next
screen, which is shown in Figure (9). On this screen, the user will be asked if he/she wants to perform an
auto-scan of the channels. If the user selects "Yes" , a new window, will start Auto scan

3. The Main Menu
Pressing <SETUP> will enterthe Main Menu, which is shown in Figure (11 ).From here, pressing <SETUP> again
or<RETURN> will exit the menu. The main is divided into four main selection items: Channel Guide, SystemConfig,
Installation, and Game, which are displayed on the left side. Selecting an itemwill open a Submenu, with the menu's
items displayed on the right side of the screen. Themenusare shown in Figures (11) to (14), and are detailed later in
this document.

Upon entering the main menu, the first item,Channel Guide, will already be highlighted. Use the<UP> or
<DOWN> buttons to highlight a different item. Press <ENTER> to enter a new
menu corresponding to the highlighted item. The submenus are their items include:
Channel Guide:
This includes TV Channels, Radio Channels, Channels Class, and Channels Edit.

4.Channel Guide
TV Channels
TheTVChannelsMenu isshown in Figure (15). Thechannelsare listed on the left side
of the menu, and a preview window isonthe right side. From here, thechannel can be
changed using the<UP>or<DOWN>keys, <ENTER>to start viewing Channel groups include news,
sports, favorites, etc. if you Add channel class press<DISPLAY>to sort the channels,
which can be set to alphabetical (A-Z), reverse alphabetical, free on top,
Scrambled on top, and transponder (Figure (16).

Radio Channels
The Radio Channels Menu, shown in Figure (17), is similar to the TV Channels Menu. The
channels are listed onthe left side.Thechannel can be changed using<UP>and <DOWN>,
and group can be changed using<LEFT>or<RIGHT>.Press<DISPLAY>to sortthe channels.

Channels Edit
The Channel Edit Menu is shown in Figure (19). To changea channel name, select a channel name and press
<ENTER>.From here, use<LEFT> or <RIGHT> to select a character, and<UP> or<DOWN> to change the
character. Press<ENTER> to confirm the name changeTo move a channel, select the MOVE column of a
channel and press <ENTER>.From here, use the <UP> or<DOWN> to change the placement order of the
channel, and <ENTER> to confirm the changSelectthe DELETE column and press <ENTER> to delete the
channel. Use <TV/RADIO> to change between TV and radio Channels. Note: If there are no channels available,
this user cannot be entered.

Channels Class
From the Channels Class Menu, shown in Figure (18), each channel can. be classified into a group.
Pressing<ENTER>will add the row's channel to the column's category. Use<TV/RADIO> to switch between TV and
radio channels. Note: If there are no channels, the user cannot enter this menu.
5. System Config TV
Setting
From the TV Setting Menu, shown in Figure (20), the TV system, video output, and TV
aspect ratio can be changed.Press <UP> or <DOWN> to select one of the items.To change the setting, press <LEFT>
or<RIGHT>to cycle between the different settings, or press<ENTER>and then<UP>or<DOWN>to select from a list
Of settings. The possible settings are:
TV System: NTSC, PAL, Auto. See Figure (21).
Video: YCbCr, TV-RGB, P-SCAN-YUV, S-VIDEO. See Figure (22).
TV Type: 4:3 Pan -Scan, 4:3 Letterbox, 16:9. See Figure (23).

Video Setting
From the Video Setting Menu, shown in Figure (24), the video brightness, contrast,
hue, and saturation can be changed. Press <UP> or <DOWN> to select one of the items.
To change he setting, press <LEFT>or<RIGHT>to cycle between the different settings. Alternatively, press<ENTER> to
select from a list of possible settings.
Settings:
Brightness: 0,1, 2, 3,4,5, 6,7, 8, 910, 11,12. See Figure (25).
Contrast: 0,1, 2, 3,4,5, 6,7,8, 910, 11,12. See Figure (26).

Audio Setting

Language
The Language Menu, shown in Figure (31), allows the user to change the OSD language
Usethe<LEFT>or<RIGHT>toselecta language, or<ENTER>to select from a list with all the possible
languages. OSD Language: English, German, Swedish Danish Norwegian. See Figure (32).

Parent Control
The Parent Control Menu, Figure (33), has two items, Change Pin and Channel Lock.When changing the pin, the user will be asked to
enter the old pin, the new pin, and the new pin again (Figure (34). In order to change the channel lock, the user must first enter the pin,
as shown in Figure (35). If the pin is okay, the Channel Lock Menu will appear( Figure (36). Use <UP> or <DOWN> to select a channel,
<ENTER> to lock or unlock the channel, and<TV/RADIO> to switch between television and radio channels. The channel look

Time Setting
From the Time Setting Menu, Figure(37), the sleep settings canbe changed. Use <UP>or<DOWN> to select an item, and

Manual Scan
The Manual Scan Menu is shown in Figure (42). A scan can be performed,
be setting the following items: Country, Scan Type, Start Channel, Start Frequency, End Frequency, and Bandwidth. If the scan type
is single channel, then only the country and start channel can be set. If the scan type is channelrange, then the country,start channel,
and end channel can be set. Use the <UP>, <DOWN> keys to select an item and the]<LEFT>, <RIGHT> keys to change the
settings.Once done, go to Start Scan and press <ENTER>.

6. Installation Auto

Scan
The Auto Scan Menu is shown in Figure(40). First, select a country using <LEFT> or<RIGHT>.Then press<DOWN>to highlight
"Select Scan" and press<ENTER>. the scan will being (Figure (41). Default Setup
A message box will appear, as shown in Figure (43), asking if the user wants to reset
the machine to factory settings. After the settings are reset, the First Time Installation message will
appear.

7. Game
The Game Menu is shown in Figure (44). The first game is called Boxman, see Figure
(45).The other game is Burning Tetris, see Figure (46).and Hit Rat Game see Figure(47) The games are played using
the<UP>,
<DOWN>,<LEFT>,<RIGHT>,and<ENTER>keys. From within a game, press<RETURN> or <SETUP>
To return to the game menu.
