NPower 457100 User manual

100W Slim Power Inverter
Before connecting or using your 100 watt inverter, please
read and understand this User’s Manual.
Incorrect installation or misuse of your DC to AC
inverter may result in damage or hazardous
conditions to the user. Please pay special attention
to the following instructions and warnings.
Please keep this manual for future reference.

Warnings!
Caution!
Do Not open the case of the inverter.
Do Not insert foreign objects into the inverter’s AC outlet or
vent openings.
Do Not use the inverter in the open air when it is rainy or
snowy; it is not designed to be waterproof.
Do Not place inverter near heat sources: heating vents,
radiators, sunlight and/or any other sources of heat.
Do Not use the inverter in the presence of flammable
fumes or gases, such as propane.
STOP USING if you, the inverter, any item being operated,
and/or the surface in contact with the inverter become wet.
Shock, serious injury, or death could result as liquids can
conduct electricity.
To avoid a risk of fire, ensure the ventilation openings on
the rear and bottom of the unit are not obstructed.
Keep out of reach of children
Connect the power inverter only to batteries with a 12V
normal output. A battery with 6V normal output will not
supply enough voltage and a battery with 24V normal
output will damage the inverter. NEVER connect to
household or RV AC distribution wiring.

Know the voltage requirements of your appliances, the
115V output 100W continuous power inverter only can
properly supply the power for those appliances that do not
exceed the capacity of this unit.
The wattage (WATTS) or amperes (AMPS) can normally be
seen stamped or printed on most appliances and
equipment or in the user’s manual. To calculate the
continuous load: Continuous load = AMPS X 115 (AC
voltage); starting load = WATTS X 2.
Do not operate the inverter if it has received a sharp blow,
been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way.
The 100W inverter efficiently and reliably operates personal
electronics and mobile office equipment, such as
notebooks, computers, cellular phones and camcorders
with power consumption under 100 watts. It’s
recommended to run the vehicle’s engine when using the
100W inverter, if the voltage of the battery is low, the
inverter will automatically shut down. If you decide to use
the inverter while the vehicle is off, we recommend starting
the vehicle every hour for 10 minutes to recharge the
battery. Turn off the item plugged into the inverter prior to
starting the engine.
Features:

This compact inverter is convenient to carry and can be easily
operated. It’s equipped with the ability to prevent: high/low
voltage, overheating, overloading and short circuiting.
1.DC power cable with an internal replacing fuse —Insert the
cigarette lighter plug in the lighter socket. It has a replaceable 8A
glass- fuse.
Remove the blown fuse from the plug by gently unscrewing the
tip of the lighter plug, and replace the fuse with a replaceable 8A
glass- fuse.
2.LED indicator— When the inverter has DC input and run
normally, the green LED indicator lights. When the inverter
has shut down because of low or high input voltage, the LED
indicator goes out.
3. USB port—offer 5V power to USB equipment.
4. 3 Pin AC outlet—It allows you to plug in an AC product with
power consumption of 100 watts or less.
Replacing the Fuse

5 minutes Continuous AC Power......................................100Watts
5. Ventilation openings— The ventilation openings should not be
covered at any time while the inverter is operating.
6. Cooling fan— The high speed cooling fan to protect the
inverter from being overheated.
A fault is referred to as a low/high voltage, over heating, and/or
over loading of the inverter. When the inverter goes into the fault
status, the green LED will vanish and the inverter will
automatically shut down. And it’s recommended that you unplug
all accessories/tools from the inverter, and unplug the inverter
when the green LED vanish. The inverter can be reset by
unplugging it and plugging it in again. This should be done
without any accessory/tool plugged into the inverter.

Note:
Inverter Specifications:

This power inverter is equipped with a standard North American
AC power receptacle. Make sure the load requirement of your
equipment DOESN’T exceed 100 watts. The power inverter is
engineered to be connected directly to standard electronic
equipment in the manner described below. DO NOT connect the
power inverter to household or RV AC distribution wiring.
Information
Connecting the Inverter to your accessory outlet:
WARNING!
When using 12V cigarette plug, loads greater
than 120W will blow the replaceable safety fuse in the accessory
plug.
1) After properly connected to the 12-volt outlet;
2) Connect your AC products to the unit;
3) Turn on the AC products.
Caution: Connect the AC product one at a time.
Through its AC outlet, the inverter is capable of
powering most 115-volt products that use 150 watts
or less. Operating range:
1. 80 watts or less for continuous operation
2. 100 watts for 5-minute operation

1. Due to the limitation of 12V outlets in vehicles or boats, the
inverter should only be used to supply AC power to products that
require 100W or less.
2. Only use the attached wiring for the inverter, DO NOT use any
other wiring that was not included with the inverter.
Attention:
Troubleshooting:
PROBLEM
No voltage, no
indicators.
Replace battery
Reduce load, use a product with power rating less
than 100 watts; check and replace the fuse..
Use a product with starting surge power
within the inverter’s capability (≤200W).
Unplug inverter from DC socket and allow
to be cooled for 15 minutes. Remove
objects covering unit. Move the inverter to
a cooler place. Reduce load if continuous
operation is required. Restart.
charge the battery
Charge the battery
Inverter runs small
loads but not large
loads
SOLUTION

Water entered Disconnect the inverter and wipe
immediately with a dry cloth, or permanent
damage can occur with liquid ingress.
