changer , accepting up to 12 different coin denomination , including up to 3 token , between 15 and
33 mm diameter.
Connection between changer and vending machine:
G-26.4000 Standard - parallel interface
G-26.4400 SIMPLEX V - erial interface
G-26.4800 Profe ional - erial interface
Payout of three different coin :
right tube - coin up to 30 mm diameter
left tube - coin up to 26.5 mm diameter
middle tube - coin up to 23.5 mm diameter
The tube may tore the ame denomination coin to increa e capacity.
The validator and changer each have their own microproce or. Both proce or communicate via a
erial interface.
U ing a P.C., the validator i ‘ elf-teaching’ enabling reprogramming of coin acceptance.
It i po ible to u e a card y tem or bill validator with the changer ( ee function 19 and 20).
In addition, you can record data u ing a data retrieval unit. Thi data can be u ed for audit purpo e .
By connecting a talking module G-58.0100 to the changer, your vending machine can become more

General Information
The G-10.4000/5 i a microproce or-controlled validator, which include a erial interface for the data
tran fer to the control unit.
Measurements
When a coin pa e the mea urement area within the validator, the coil mea ure the coin characteri tic
of alloy, thickne , diameter and embo ing. The mea ured analog value are recorded and proce ed
to 6 digital value .
For coin validation 6 parameter are available:
NFP = Pha e hift mea urement with low frequency
GRO = Diameter mea urement with upper en or
GRU = Diameter mea urement with lower en or
NFA = Amplitude mea urement with low frequency
RCH = Calculated value
HFP = Pha e hift mea urement with high frequency
Coin channels
The in erted coin generate one value for each of the 6 parameter . The validator check , whether thi
value lie within it programmed limit , i.e. within the coin channel.
Within each channel the limit value for one coin denomination can be et. The 12 coin channel of the
G-10.4000/5 enable the coin acceptance of a maximum of 12 different coin denomination . Thi mean
coin , who e characteri tic corre pond. Thu thi al o refer to token . Ba ed on thi there are two
coin channel programmed in tead of only one in ca e of the acceptance of an old and new coin
denomination (for in tance 0.10 £ old and 0.10 £ new).
Alternatively it i po ible to programme a channel with 'normal bandwidth' and with 'narrow bandwidth'
for the ame coin denomination.
To each coin channel one coin denomination can be a igned.
The G-10.4000/5 can validate up to a maximum of 8 different coin value . The coin channel 9 to 12
are linked up with the coin channel 1 to 8 and thu a coin value i a iged to the e coin channel .

Example II: Label of a G-10.4000/5 with Engli h coin acceptance.
The example how that the channel 2 and 10, 3 and 11 a well a 8 and 9 are linked together.
Different coin denomination are accepted, however, they have the ame coin value .
Example I: Label of a G-10.4000/5 with German coin acceptance.
Thi example how the the coin channel 3 and 10, 4 and 11 a well a 5 and 12 are linked
together. The abbreviation "E" marke the channel with 'narrow' bandwidth. So for the ame coin
denomination two channel are programmed, one with 'normal' and the other with 'narrow'
bandwidth.
Example II
Linked channel alway accept the ame coin value.

Indi idual coin inhibit
It i po ible to inhibit each of the channel 2 to 12.
The channel 2 to 8 can be inhibited via keyboard of the changer ( ee function 15).
If one of the channel 2 to 8 i inhibited via the keyboard of the changer, the a igned channel,
accepting the ame coin value, i imultaneou ly inhibited.
Example:
Programmed coin value within channel 5 (narrow bandwidth) : 1.00 £
Programmed coin value within channel 12 : 1.00 £
Due to the fact that channel 5 and 12 are linked together if the coin acceptance i inhibited within
channel 5, channel 12 i al o inhibited.
In order to inhibit the coin acceptance of channel 9 to 12 a 4-pole Dual-In-Line witch i
provided on the pc-board of the G-10.4000/5 ( ee figure).
To get free acce to the Dual-In-Line witch it i nece ary to remove the G-10.4000/5.
Po ition of the Dual-In-Line witch on the CPU pc-board of the validator.

Coin sorting
The validator i able to ort coin into 3 different tube or into the ca hbox. The a ignment of the coin
into tube i done by the channel and i independent from the coin value.
During the orting procedure the orting gate are activated dependant on the time the in erted coin
require to pa through the validator. Thu a fa t coin require a hort orting time. Thi individual
activation of the orting gate increa e con iderably the orting ecurity.
Switch 1 in the lower po ition of the 4-pole Dual-In-Line witch ha two function . By u ing thi
witch you can activate the orting function ( ee page 11).
* By moving the appropriate witch in the upper po ition ( 'open' ) the channel i inhibited.
By u ing the individual coin inhibit of channel 9 to 12 it i po ible, for in tance,
- to increa e the lug rejection by inhibiting the channel with normal bandwidth for
changer with German coin acceptance
- to inhibit the coin acceptance of old coin , if they hould no longer be accepted for
changer with Engli h coin acceptance.
o The channel 9 to 12 are a igned to the 4 witche a follow :
G-10.4000/5

Manual G-26.4000: Page 11 National Rejector , Inc. GmbH, Germany
Attention: If within channel 12 a coin i programmed, the coin denomination within channel 9 mu t
not be orted into the right tube a during inhibit of channel 12 (u ing witch 1) the orting
change from channel 9 to channel 8.
The sorting function - pecial function for validator with Engli h coin acceptance - can be
activated by u ing witch 1,
- if within channel 12 no coin i programmed,
- if the coin denomination, accepted by channel 9, i guided into the right tube
* Move witch 1 on the 4-pole Dual-In-Line witch in the upper po ition
o Now coin accepted within channel 9 are no longer guided into the right tube, but coin
accepted within channel 8 are guided into the right tube.
