Ultraviolet disinfection technology is commonly used in hospitals,
bacteriological research, and military and aviation fields. UV-C ultraviolet
rays use a purely physical sterilization method, which can destroy the DNA
and RNA of microorganisms such as bacteria, killing 99.9% of the bacteria
and making them lose reproduction and viability. Effectively removes odors
and eliminates particles that cause pneumonia, asthma, and allergies.
Why does UV light kill bacteria?
Ultraviolet light has a wavelength of 100-400nm, which can effectively
destroy the DNA of microorganisms, causing them to lose reproduction and
perish. UVC ultraviolet rays have a wavelength of 265nm~280nm, which is
the best wavelength for sterilization.
According to the Taiwan Consumer Foundation report, the wavelength is
recommended to be below 280nm to achieve the bactericidal effect.
The influence of factors such as wavelength, intensity and irradiation time
should also be evaluated to achieve a good sterilization effect. In theory, if

sufficient conditions are met, bacteria, molds, viruses, etc. within the
irradiation range can be killed.
The Consumer Base Association pointed out: "User is difficult to know whether
the UV-C sanitizer is useful." "Do you know the distance between the sterilizer
stick and the object need to be?" "How long does it take to be fully
illuminated?" "User cannot just scan the object and thought that the
sterilization is done!"
UV dose is the product of irradiation intensity and irradiation time: K
(sterilization dose) = I (irradiation intensity) * t (irradiation time), irradiation
time and intensity will directly affect the sterilization effect.
According to the formula, the impact of high-intensity short-time irradiation
and low-intensity long-time irradiation is the same.

（1）Child Safety Lock
To avoid accidents caused by accidental contact by children, this product has a
safety lock. If the safety lock is not turned on, this product cannot be used.
To use this product, please turn the switch to the ON position to unlock it.

（2）Handheld Mode
⚫Before use, please turn the child safety lock to the [ON] position
to unlock it.
Note: When using, do not irradiate the UVC light towards people
to avoid harming the human body.
⚫1-min Sterilization Mode
Short press the [sterilization button] , the indicator light will light up in
white, enter the sterilization mode, and automatically shut down after 1 minute.
If you want to turn it off in the middle of the sterilization process,
please long press the [sterilization button] until it is turned
off.
⚫3-min Sterilization Mode
Press and hold the [sterilization button] for 3-sec, the indicator light will
turn on red, enter the sterilization mode, and automatically shut down after 3-
min.

If you want to turn it off in the middle of the sterilization process,
please long press the [sterilization button] until it is turned off.
（3）Bracket Mode
The sterilizer can be fixed on the
bracket for hands-free sterilization.
There are 2 height designs on the
bracket, which can adapt to the
sterilization needs of different items.
When using the Bracket Mode for
sterilization, you can also plug in the charging cable to the sterilizer to
charge and use it at the same time.
（4）Battery Charging
Charge the Nugens UV-C sterilizer by using the provided USB Type-
C cable, we recommend you use the 5V/2A adapter.
*You can charge and use the device at the same time.
