Introduction
Thank you for purchasing our ZoomMatic™ Integrated camera.
Our ZoomMatic™ Integrated Cameras are all equipped with high resolution 1/4” Interline
transfer CCD Imager for enhanced low light sensitivity. Combined with our 2nd generation
‘Super Image Enhancer II’ - ‘SIE II’ module, viewing in the dark is radically amplied.
A user-friendly, on-screen display (OSD) menu makes it easy to setup and program
functions, and automatic motion detection and zoom function with auto focus make
the ZoomMatic™ ideal for monitoring Point-of-Sales, driveways, corridors, alleys, and
entrances.

Connections & Wiring
EZ-Coax™ BNC Connection
RS-485 Connection
Use minimum of AC 24V / 40VA power source.
• Connect the VIDEO-OUT jack to the VIDEO-INPUT of the device.
• As the connecting method varies with the equipment, refer to the manual supplied with
the equipment.
• Always make sure that the camera’s power is off when connecting the cables.
• The camera is supplied with second video output on the camera housing. To use this
feature along with a service monitor, second monitor cable is required.
Using a RS-485 communication, it will be able to control the ZOOM/FOCUS and OSD
menu from the controller or through the DVR. RS-485 does not allow star connection
layout. It must be in a daisy-chain conguration. An amplier/repeater is required to
extend over 1.2km in distance.

Connecting the ZoomMatic™ Integrated Camera to the Controller
Additional Controller Keyboard and a variety of external switching devices such as
Multiplexers (MUXes) and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) may be incorporated to
accommodate the needs from a small to a large surveillance/security system.

• Locate the RS-422 Rx+ & Rx- conductor wire from the ZoomMatic™ Integrated
camera.
• Connect the RS-485 Tx(+)/ Tx(-) of the DVR into Rx(+)/Rx(-) of the ZoomMatic™
Integrated camera.

The ZoomMatic™ Integrated camera comes with a remote controller for ease of installa-
tion and control. Gain access to the OSD menu to simply modify any feature settings,
recall any programmed presets, modify the motion detection sensitivity, or change the IR
LED intensity.
Remote Controller Keys & Descriptions
Note: When you use the remote controller, set the camera ID number up to 99.
POWER – Not used
NUMBERS – Use Numbers when changing
the ID of the remote controller. They are
also used to save or recall presets.
Camera Address (ID) - Use CAM button
to change the ID of the remote controller
when controlling multiple cameras.
Example: To control CAM ID#2, Press 2 and
CAM button in sequence.
SAVE - Saves preset position.
Example: To save Preset #1, Press 1 and
SAVE in sequence.
PRESET - Recall preset.
Example: To recall Preset #1, Press 1 and
PRESET in sequence.
HOME - Immediately calls Home function.
MENU – Recalls On Screen Display Menu.
DOWN / UP / LEFT / RIGHT
Moves up/down in the menu.
Moves left/right in the menu.
Decreases/increases control.
ZOOM - Zoom In / Out
FOCUS – Adjusts focus.
IRIS – Adjusts Iris.

1. Adjusting Via Remote Control
Point the remote controller to the camera
to control the zoom. Remote controller
may be used to enter and make changes
in the OSD Setup Menu.
2. Adjusting Via Controller Keyboard
Use the controller keyboard (CK-1000) to
adjust the zoom by twisting the joystick. You
can also enter and make changes in the OSD
Setup Menu.
3. Adjusting Via DVR (Digital Video Recorder)
Use the DVR’s PTZ menu to adjust the zoom using the + and -. You can also enter and
make changes in the OSD Setup Menu.
Note: Make sure that
the RS485 connection is
connected to the Controller
or DVR.
4. Adjusting Via EZ-Coax™ Transceiver
Use the CCVC transmitter to adjust the zoom. You
can also enter and make changes in the OSD Setup
Menu.
Note: Do not use the EZ-Coax™ and the RS485
comm port together, as errors will occur. Please use
one or the other.

Loosen the corresponding screws before attempting to make Pan, Tilt and Rotation adjust-
ments.

OSD Menu Controls & Navigation
1. OSD MENU CONTROLS (On-Screen-Display)
Enter Key - Used to access MAIN SETUP menu mode.
Up / Down Key - Used to scroll through the desired sub-menu selection and to move
the cursor up or down during the OSD menu.
Left / Right Key - Used to adjust the desired menu selection, and to move the cursor
left or right during the OSD menu. Also used to conrm the setting changes.
1.1 Entering and Navigating the Main Menu - To enter the main menu, press and
hold the ENTER Key down for 2 or more seconds until the OSD menu appears on the
screen.
1.2 Entering and Navigating the Sub-Menu - To enter the sub-menu from the Main
menu, press the Left / Right key at the selected line. While in the OSD menu, scroll
up/down the available options by using the corresponding navigational keys.
1.3 Go to the Up-Menu from the Sub-Menu - To go to the up-menu from the sub-
menu, press the Left / Right Key at the RETURN line.
1.4 Exiting the OSD Menu - Once all of the desired changes have been made, move
the cursor over to the SAVE AND EXIT line to save and exit. Choosing EXIT will lose all
changes and revert back to its previously saved conguration.

2. FOCUS SETUP
The ZoomMatic™ Integrated camera can be set up to automatically focus to the changing
environment or just once at a preset eld of view. (e.g., a man walking across the moni-
tored area closer to the camera)
IMPORTANT: Continuous use of the Auto Focus feature under heavy movement conditions
will signicantly shorten the lifespan of the lens.
2.1 MODE (ONESHOT, AUTO, MANUAL)
•ONESHOT: Focus is automatically adjusted just once, after zoom position is set.
• AUTO: Focus is automatically adjusted with moving zoom.
• MANUAL: After the desired eld of view is set, focus can be manually adjusted.
2.2 ZOOM SPEED (FAST, SLOW): Congure zoom speed using this feature.
• FAST: To move zoom fast.
• SLOW: To move zoom slowly.
2.3 LENS INIT: Use this feature to initialize the lens.

3. WB SETUP (White Balance)
The WB SETUP is used to control the white balance under different illumination sources.
Adjust this setting to calibrate the camera for correct color rendering.
3.1 MODE (AWC, ATW, INDOOR, OUTDOOR, MANUAL)
• AWC(Automatic White Balance Control): Choose between the LOCK mode, AUTO mode,
or the CRLS mode. AUTO mode monitors the color changes and automatically adjusts the
red and blue values to compensate for the color shifting. LOCK mode locks in the previ-
ous color setting and adjusts accordingly. CRLS mode is used to prevent color-rolling
commonly associated with uorescent lighting.
• ATW(Automatic Tracking White Balance): Select the ATW mode if the color
temperature of the light source is between 2,500°K~8,000°K (i.e. Fluorescent Light,
Sodium Vapor Lamps)
• INDOOR: Fixed at 3200°K
• OUTDOOR: Fixed at 5400°K
• MANUAL: Select the MANUAL mode to adjust the RED or BLUE color values
manually.

3.2 CONTROL - WB Mode Control (LOCK, AUTO, CRLS, 3200°K, 5400°K, R/B CTRL) -
This eld displays the current CONTROL status of the WB mode. In the AWC LOCK mode,
the user may control the white balance after pointing the camera to the desired location.
Press Right Key will convert the eld from ‘LOCK’ to ‘PUSH.’ Once the desired color bal-
ance is obtained, press Left Key to lock in the current white balance setting.
3.3 RED (0 ~ 255) - This eld displays the current RED value of the WB mode. Only in
the Manual mode can the RED value be altered to user preference. The red value ranges
from 0~255.
3.4 BLUE (0 ~ 255) - This eld displays the current BLUE value of the WB mode. Only
in the Manual mode can the BLUE value be altered to user preference. The blue value
ranges from 0~255
4. AE SETUP (Automatic Exposure)
The AE Control function is used to manually control the Iris, Slow Shutters, Gain, Bright-
ness, and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range). It can also be set to ‘FULL AUTO’ (recommended)
or one of 3 pre-congured settings. The pre-congured settings are as follows: IIS PRIO
(Iris Priority), SHUTTER PRIO (Shutter Priority), or Bright (Brightness Priority).

4.1 MODE (AUTO, SHTFIX, IRISFIX, GAINFIX, MANUAL)
• AUTO: The ALC mode and the camera will continuously monitor changes in the light-
ing intensity and automatically adjust the Shutter Speed, Iris, and the Gain to the most
optimal level.
• SHTFIX: The Shutter Speed is xed and the exposure is controlled by adjusting the Iris
and Gain.
• IRISFIX: The Iris is xed and the exposure is controlled by adjusting the Shutter Speed
and Gain.
• GAINFIX: The Gain is xed and the exposure is controlled by adjusting the Iris and the
Shutter Speed.
• MANUAL: The Iris, Shutter Speed, Gain is controlled manually. The setting values are
xed and will not deviate once assigned a specic value.
4.2 BRIGHTNESS (0 ~ 100) - User may ne-tune the screen to their preferred bright-
ness. The brightness ranges from 0~100 - 0 being the darkest, and 100 being the
brightest.
4.3 IRIS (OPEN, CLOSED, F16.0 a... aF1.8) - The IRIS of the camera can be set to
user preference. The Iris can only be changed under IRISFIX or MANUAL mode.
4.4 SHUTTER (1/60 a... aF1/100,000) - The SHUTTER speed can be selected
manually according to user preference. It can only be changed under SHTFIX or MANUAL
mode. The shutter speed of 1/60(NTSC), or 1/50(PAL) seconds are recommended.
4.5 AGC - Automatic Gain Control (AUTO, OFF a... a36 dB) - This function is
used to amplify the video signal when it falls below the set parameter. As the AGC level
increases, the overall screen gets brighter, but the level of Noise is increased.
