OK310 – Water Pump Controller
Description
The OK310 is a low voltage water pump controller featuring 3 independently
programmable 24V AC triac outputs and an input typically by a pressure switch. It
comprises 2 components, the relay control interface module, OK310T and the controller
OK100C. The controller and the Interface module are equipped with RS485
communication protocol. This system provides a complete pump control solution for
climate control platforms based on humidity or temperature feedback.
This solution allows fast installation and user friendly operation for OEM installations
versus PLCs with complicated programming and wiring schemes. When used with high
pressure water pumps, this solution typically integrates the following components;
- Pump motor,
- Pressure switch,
- Intake valve solenoid,
- Drain valve solenoid
The controller incorporates a NIST certified, humidity/temperature sensor with
exceptional accuracy.
The unit also features a total pump operation duration counter for maintenance and
statistics.
The relay control module communicates with the controller over RS485 communication
protocol.
The OK310 has 3 modes;
- Manual
- Humidity
- Temperature
These modes allow the system to control climate conditions and when the condition is
met, it gracefully stops the pump and drains water in the system until receiving next
triggering event by its built-in sensor or manual intervention.

General
The system requires 24V AC @ 500mA supply voltage. Since the outputs use the same power
source, installer ought to select a proper supply power rate by taking the relay/contactor coil
total current requirements into account. For a typical cube relays/contactor combination,
minimum power rate of 50VA transformer recommended. Using 18 gauge cable, connect the
supply voltage to terminals 1 and 2.
When powering up, make sure that the both modules (controller and relay interface module)
are connected via the data cord (cat#CAB485). Otherwise the interface module will not operate.
Pressure switch
If there is not efficient pressure, the system detects and power off the pump when the pre-
programmed delay timer expires.
If no pressure switch is being used, set the delay time to ‘0’. This will disable the pressure
feedback.If the pressure switch is being used, a connection must bemade frompressure switch
to the terminals 3 and 4 by using 18 gauge cable.
Relay, Contactor and/or Solenoids
The outputs require 24V AC rated relays, contactors or solenoids. The outputs all together are
internally hardwired to a resettable fuse rated at ~1500mA. Using 18 gauge cable;
- Connect pump relay coil to terminal 6,
- Intake coil to terminal 7,
- Drain coil to terminal 8,
- Connect opposite ends of the relay/contactor coils to terminal 5 (common).
Caution
The triac outputs should NOT be grounded and each output should NOT exceed 500mA.

Main Setup Screen
- By pressing up/down keys, select the proper
setup menu and press enter
Mode Screen
- 3 options, Humidity, Temperature and Manual
- Unit selections are Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Delay Screen 1 and 2
- Adjust time in seconds by up/down keys
- Max. Delay duration is 600sec.
- ‘0’ indicates that pressure input is disabled
Drain option for Out2 and/or Out3 :
- This special condition is set by pressing one
down at 0 second of start delay.
- This options allows the start of either Out2 and/or
Out3 referenced by the stop of the Out1.
Hysteresis Screen
- Adjust the desired level and the start condition
set by minus hysteresis
Statistics Screen
- Indicates the total pump operation time.

The remedies of the purchaser set forth herein are exclusive and the total liability of OKLATECH with respect its products whether
based on contract, warranty, negligence, indemnification, strict liability or otherwise, shall not exceed the purchase price of the
component upon which liability is based. In no event shall OKLATECH be liable for consequential, incidental or special damages.
CONDITIONS:
Oklatech products are not fault-tolerant and are not designed, manufactured or intended for use or resale as on-line control
equipment in hazardous environments, medical, nuclear, avionics fields and such requiring fail-sale performance. Should products
be used in any of the above applications or activities, purchaser will indemnify OKLATECH and hold OKLATECH harmless from
any loss, damage, liability, claim, demand, cost, or suit of any nature whatsoever for property damage, personal injury or death,
product liability, regulatory claim or otherwise arising out of, in connection with or incidental to such application, activity, or use.
This indemnity shall include, without limitation, costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees occasioned by said loss, damage, liability,
claims, demands or suits, as well as the full amount of any judgment rendered or compromise settlement made, plus interest, if
applicable.
