MAESTRO SMART 11
In this operating mode, after the compressor is on for 8 minutes, if the
internal exchanger temperature TBi<Tlt1, the external fan and
compressor are shut down (the internal fan stays on until the internal heat
exchanger is defrosted) until TBi>Tlt2 and 3 minutes have passed. During
the antifreeze function (external fan and compressor OFF, internal fan
ON, until TBi>Tlt2 and 3 minutes have passed), the pump may be on (if
turned on from the level switch), and if the compressor is off, and the OFF
alarm is deactivated.
Upon completion of the antifreeze function (TBI Tlt2> and 3 minutes have
passed), the pump resumes normal behavior (it may be turned on only if
the compressor is on) and the OFF alarm becomes active (when the
function ends, if the maximum water level switch remains open for
1 minute, the alarm goes to OFF).
In cooling mode, if the condensate pump runs continuously for more than
t_mmxfcp, the external fan (when it is set to turn on) must be forced to
high speed (even if night mode is selected), and if bit 3 of the mch_id
parameter is active (1), the condensate pump (FCP) malfunction notice is
shown on the display. Both the external fan at high speed and the FCP
notice (if enabled) will terminate only when the unit is switched to another
operating mode (including standby). When subsequently activated in
cooling mode, the external fan starts to run as usual and the pump must
run for t_mmxfcp minutes until this function is reactivated.
In this operating mode, only FS, TFS, HTE, CF/RL, DI, FCP, CKS and SV
alarms or notices are enabled.
3.3 Heating Mode (only for heat pump units)
This mode is activated only if bit0 of the mch_id parameter isenabled (1)
and it may be selected only from the remote control (if bit0 of the mch_id
parameter isreset (0) no commands related to heating mode may be
carried out).
In heating mode, the condensate disposal pump must always be off,
while the condensate disposal actuator mustalways be on.
The setpoint temperature (Tset) may be adjusted via remote control from
15°C(59°F): to 30°C(86°F): at1°C(2°F): intervals.
Correction of the ambient temperature Tcamb) isactive only ifbit1 of the
mch_id parameter isenabled (1).
If Troom (+ Tcamb)> Tset-T_dtr isnot equal to zero (only DL1 is on).
If Troom (+ Tcamb <Tset-T_dtr, and only 2 minutes have passed since
activation of the function, the 4-way valve is activated and the external
fan is set to minimum speed (according to the ris_elow parameter). After
t_ac seconds the external temperature Toutdoor isacquired and stored
as Tbatex *.If3 minutes have passed since the prior compressor
shutdown, the compressor may be activated and the external fan may
switch to the selected speed (only 2 speeds are available for the external
fan: average speed if low or medium speed was selected from the remote
control, high speed if high speed was selected from the remote control) if
Tbatex * >T_vem, while if Tbatex * < T_vem, the maximum speed is set
(regardless of the speed selected from the remote control and whether
nighttime mode is selected).
When Troom (+ Tcamb) >Tset, the compressor and the external fan are
turned off (the 4-way valve remains on). The next time that the condition
Troom (+ Tcamb) <Tset-T_dtr is met, another hot startup procedure is
launched (external fan at low speed for t_ac seconds, acquisition of
Tbatext *,and so on).
The internal fan remains offuntil TBi <T_hs1. When TBi>T_hs1, the
internal fan switches to low speed (regardless of the fan selection and the
status of the other outputs). After 3 minutes have passed, ifTBi>T_hs1
+6°C(10.8°F),itmay switch to the selected fan speed (if high speed was
selected, the fan first starts at medium speed for 3 minutes, then switches
to high speed), otherwise (T_hs2 < TBi <T_hs1 +6°C(10.8°F))it
maintains its low speed status. IfTBi falls or isbelow T_hs1 +6°C(10.8°F),
the internal fan speed switches to the next lower speed setting (medium if
itwas on high, low ifit was on medium), maintaining each speed setting
for at least 3 minutes. After this, ifTBi again goes above T_hs1 +6°
C(10.8°F), the internal fan speed is set to the next higher speed (medium
ifitwas on low, high if itwas on medium), maintaining each speed setting
for at least 3 minutes and avoiding exceeding the speed setting selected
by the user. In these situations, ifa new speed selection is received, itis
effective immediately.
When the fan speed is set to automatic, the actual speed is selected
based on the ambient temperature, asfollows:
–Tset – 3°C(5.4°F) < Troom (+Tcamb) <Tset: low speed.
–Tset – 6°(10.8°F) < Troom (+Tcamb) <Tset +3°C(5.4°F):medium speed.
–Troom (+Tcamb) <Tset-6°C(10.8°F):high speed.
At least 3 minutes must pass between one automatic speed change and
the next (if Tset or the selected fan speed is changed, the new speed is
enabled immediately).
If TBi < T_hs2, the internal fan is turned off (regardless of the status of
other outputs).
Since TBi > T_sh1, the external fan is turned off (regardless of the status
of other outputs) and it is turned on again only when TBi < T_sh2.
3.4 Defrosting
Defrosting starts when one of the following conditions occurs:
1After the compressor is on for t_sh minutes, if TBE < T_defren and
Tbatex *- TBE > T_thsu (* Tbatex is Toutdoor acquired and stored in
memory at the start of the heating cycle), defrosting has started, but
only if the external fan is not currently off due to high internal
exchanger temperature (TBi>T_sh1). In the latter case, when
TBi<T_sh2 the timer t_sh is set reset so that the subsequent
defrosting does not take place before t_sh minutes have passed.
2 If Tbatex * <T_sbatex, every t_ma minutes after the start of heating
mode, the defrosting subprogram is activated (only if the compressor
is on). The timer t_ma is reset upon every defrost cycle, even if it is
caused by condition 1.
