Olympus 262042 User manual

Tell the story of your life.
Vacations.
Time to recharge.
Renew.
Reconnect.
Moments that matter.
Capture it all in stunning detail.
So you’ll remember everything later.
Life doesn’t always
wait to be posed.That’s why
I like to use Live View. If I stopped to
use the viewfinder, I would have missed this
spontaneous and playful shot of my niece.
There’s a big, colorful screen on the
back of the E-410 that lets you see exactly
what you’re shooting. The camera is so comfortable
to hold; it goes everywhere with me. Sometimes,
the best photos are the ones you don’t plan to take.
There’s so much detail and
sharpness, you can almost
reach in the photo and grab
a balloon. I got this shot just after
the kids had spent time carefully filling the
balloons. The excellent color and clarity come from
the way the camera and Olympus lenses work perfectly
together. Now, every time I see this photo, I remember how
much fun it was getting drenched that day.
Clarity.
Detail.
Definition.
We want it in our televisions.
Computers.
Games.
Shouldn’t we demand the same of our photos?
Let’s abolish blurriness for good.
Dust.
It’s everywhere.
It’s annoying.
It’s relentless.
It must be stopped.
We’ve declared war on dust.
And driven it out of our cameras.
My E-410 has the amazing
ability to dust its own insides.
That’s why this shot came out free of spots.
The second I saw the buggy tear over the top of the
dune, I switched to a telephoto zoom lens to get closer
to the action. This can be hazardous, with dust
swirling everywhere, but the camera did its thing
perfectly. The photos didn’t need to be cleaned
up later, although I definitely did.
The blue in the ocean.
The white in a breaking wave.
The blond in a boy’s hair.
Color gives life texture.
It adds detail.
And helps stir memories.
The camera works so quickly,
it even keeps up with a 13-year-old.
This series of shots of my son were taken in
less than two seconds. No pauses between shots.
Every colorful detail is captured —his concentration,
his body language, the look of joy on his face once
he got going. I left out the photo of my son wiping
out. I’ll use that to embarrass him later.
Some pictures are important.
They define.
Enlighten.
Entertain.
They’re your history.
Some pictures need to be perfect.
And now they can be.
When you don’t know what you’re doing,
this camera does. Face it, night shooting is tricky.
But the E-410 makes it easy. I selected a setting, and the camera took it from
there. I have modes for all the tough shots. Fireworks. Candlelight.
Beach scenes. Portraits. Landscape. Underwater shooting and more than a dozen
others. I’m not a great photographer, but I have a pretty smart camera.

Only Olympus digital SLRs are engineered to be 100% digital.
Simply put, this makes innovative technologies like Dust Reduction
and Live View possible. It also helps to produce pictures with
stunning edge-to-edge sharpness that can’t be achieved with
other digital SLR cameras. A powerful 10-megapixel Live-MOS
sensor gives you more detail in your pictures than ever before.
Another reason for the astonishingly clear images is our award-
winning family of more than 20 Zuiko™ Digital lenses — the
most in the industry. Unlike older film lenses, these advanced,
precision-engineered 100% digital lenses are designed to work
perfectly with the camera’s digital technology. The result? Your
photos will have exceptional color and clarity. All Zuiko lenses are
compatible with all Olympus digital SLR cameras.
From the innovator in Live View
LCD technology.
You might not have time to capture a photo using the traditional
viewfinder. Or you may want to shoot high or low. Maybe you

digital that you won’t find on other digital SLR cameras.

176 degrees.
– Check the sharpness of a shot before snapping it with 7x or
10x magnification.
The camera that dusts its own insides.
Keep dust spots off your photos. The Olympus dust-reduction
system is an industry first and a proven technology. Every time you
turn on the E-410, our Supersonic Wave Filter™ — located
between the shutter and the image sensor — silently vibrates an
amazing 35,000 times per second. Dust is shaken away. You can
take full advantage of all the benefits of an SLR camera and
change lenses anywhere without worrying about dust ruining
your photos.
