The world’s first Live View digital SLR.
EVOLT E-330 Digital SLR
Capture exactly what you see
in a way no other digital SLR can.
Now there’s a digital SLR that offers actual “live” viewing through
the LCD in addition to a traditional through-the-lens optical
viewfinder. For the first time in an advanced digital SLR camera,
you can use the LCD screen for framing and shooting exactly what
you’re viewing – instead of just for playback.
The LCD itself is a study in advanced Olympus engineering. At 2.5”,
it is large in size and features high-resolution HyperCrystalTM
technology for extra brightness. And for added versatility, the
E-330’s LCD can be easily adjusted to multiple angles. Whether
you’re shooting high, low or close up, you can capture the perfect
image with ease.
To make sure your pictures come to life in spectacular detail and
vibrant colors, images are captured on a new 7.5 megapixel Live MOS
image sensor developed expressly for the E-330 and its Live View
digital capabilities.
For a totally new photographic experience,
get the Olympus EVOLT E-330. It will
change your entire view of what a full-
featured digital SLR can do.

TM
Exclusive porro mirror viewfinder with CCD provides
the first true “Live View” function in a Digital SLR.
Features of the Live View
EVOLT E-330 go on and on.
Dual memory slots for Compact Flash, Microdrives and
xD-Picture CardsTM.Store your photos however it’s most
convenient.
Five metering modes including the new 49-point Digital
ESP metering, center-weighted average metering, spot
metering, highlight spot metering (for clean, true whites
with detail) and shadow spot metering (for rich, dark
blacks with detail).
Three color parameters to control color saturation, con-
trast and sharpness levels separately for each file. Select
from Vivid (for printer-ready colors, Natural (for true,
accurate colors) or Muted (ideal for PhotoshopTMusers who
enhance and scale images).
Five black-and-white monochrome modes add dramatic
effects to your black-and-white pictures with tones of yel-
low, orange, red, green and normal (no filter).
Five picture effect modes let you create exotic sepia-
toned photos or add blue, green or purple tones to your
black-and-white images.
Two color space settings let you add more colors and
details for commercial work. Select from sRGB for easy
viewing on your computer and printing on your inkjet or
dye sublimation printer – or Adobe®RGB.
Contrast, sharpness and tone controls allow you to
customize settings that best suit your subject.
Three data recording formats include JPEG (for the
fastest operation and greatest number of photos), RAW
(for the highest-quality images), RAW and JPEG (when you
need the flexibility of both (and TIFF for the best image
right out of your camera).
Pop-up flash and six available flash modes let you select
the level of lighting you want.
Capture life just the way you see it – through the E-330’s
Live View LCD. For the first time in a digital SLR, you can
use the LCD as an active, versatile tool for framing and
shooting. With the exclusive Olympus Live View LCD, you
can follow action easily and capture just the right moment.
For portraits, you can wait until exactly the right facial
expression appears. What you see on the E-330’s Live View
LCD is what you get, from wide angles to accurate depth
of field preview.
The LCD is not only live, it’s also large. And you can adjust
it to what you want to see. At 2.5”, the E-330’s LCD is big.
But Olympus didn’t leave it at that. The LCD is articulated
so you don’t have to stretch or bend to capture a great
image. Hold your camera high to shoot over a crowd. Hold
it low for dramatic composition or in tight on your subject
for detailed close-ups and macro photos. Then review and
edit your images on the large Live View LCD. And to further
improve your view, the E-330’s LCD features high-resolution
HyperCrystalTM technology for extra brightness.
ANewly Developed Live MOS 7.5 Megapixel Imager
brings everything together. To take full advantage of
digital photography and the unique Live View technology
of the EVOLT E-330, a new imager has been developed. Its
hallmarks include edge-to-edge detail, accurate color, lower
noise and images that are amazingly bright and clear.
Dust can ruin a great image. But not with this camera.
Each time the E-330 is turned on, the dust reduction system
patented by Olympus goes into action. Our Super Sonic
Wave FilterTMvibrates 35,000 times a second, shaking dust
loose from the image sensor – and capturing it to prevent
its reappearance on your photographs.
Sharpness and detail. That’s the beauty of Digital-
SpecificTMZuiko®Lenses. Olympus offers the largest
selection of lenses designed especially for digital excellence,
and they’re all fully compatible with the E-330. Each lens is
perfectly matched to the camera’s image sensor so that
every pixel is properly exposed. As a result, images are
brighter, more colorful and super-sharp. Lenses – from fisheye
and ultra zooms to telephoto – are part of a complete
system of products that complement the E-330, including
aprotective underwater case. An optional external strobe
unit complements the built-in flash, and a complete macro
flash system is available.
Easy-to-capture image quality in a camera that’s easy
to handle. Everything about the EVOLT E-330 has been
developed to take full advantage of its Live View capabilities,
including its convenient controls and easy-to-handle
ergonomic design. The body has been thoughtfully designed
to fit naturally in your hand, with all buttons and controls
right where you want them to be.
Choose as much control as you want with advanced
shooting modes. When you want it quick and easy, the
E-330 offers 20 simple-to-select modes where you do nothing
more than select the “scene.” Just use the menu and choose
Beach and Snow, Sunset, Portrait, Night Scene, Candlelight,
Landscape, Underwater Macro, Underwater Wide, Panorama
and more. If you’d like to assume more control, there are six
basic modes, including Auto, Landscape, Portrait, Night
Scene Portrait, Macro and Action/Sports. Exercise total
control with creative modes like Program, Aperture
Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual.
Capture sharp, detailed photos quickly. Thanks to
our exclusive TruePic TURBOTM Image Processor, you don’t
wait for annoying shutter delays or slow start-up times.
TruePic’s responsive, accelerated performance means
rapid shot-to-shot speed and quicker playback of smooth
and detailed images.
The Olympus EVOLT E-330’s “Live View” LCD is adjustable, allowing you to capture
exactly what you see in a way that no other digital SLR can. Above the water or below it, the Olympus
EVOLT E-330 is right at home with the optional 60 meter
underwater housing for body lenses and strobe .
