this carefully before using the xD-Picture Card™,
The
xD-Picture Card is aremovable memory card. This card is specifically designed for digital cameras which are compatible with the xD-Picture Card, and has already
been formatted for immediate use with these digital cameras. There are four types of
xD-Picture Card: Standard, Type M(High capacity), and Type M+fType H(High speed
and High capacity).
Notes: -Data may be lost or destroyed if the xD-Picture Card is used incorrectly, even though the data is saved in non-volatile semiconductor memory. To avoid accidental
erasure, transfer data to other media regularly such as acomputer Hard Disk, CD, or
MO drive. -To find out what type or size of card can be used with your xD-Picture
Card-compatible device, refer to the instruction manual provided with the device or contact customer support. Information on Olympus products is also available at the
Olympus web site. -This card only works with
xD-Picture Card devices. -Also read the instruction manual of the device that your card will be used with. _The xD-Picture
Card does not have write-protection (data protection).

•Like all flash memory, the xD-Picture Card has alimited life span, and will eventually become incapable of performing WRITE/ERASE functions after long term use. When
the media fails, use anew
xD-Picture Card .• When saving or erasing files from apersonal computer using aUSB memory adapter, the minimum number of remaining
pictures avaiiable may decrease. For best results, only format the card
in the camera. This will reset the number of remaining pictures to the correct amount.
•
In some cases, the remaining movie recording time on an xD-Picture Card in adigital camera may decrease suddenly after erasing data on the card. In this case, format
the card again on the camera.
•
Olympus is not responsible for lost or destroyed data in the xD-Picture Card, or for loss of data stored in other media.
•Data
security in xD-Picture Card disposaUtransfer
When you use your digital camera or personal computer to '10rmat" or "delete" an xD-Picture Card, the information in the file management area is changed, but the actual
data on the card is not "completely erased". Before disposing
of or transferring an xD-Picture Card, it is recommended that you either physically destroy the card itself or
use commercially available data erasure software
to "completely erase" the data. Management of the data on the xD-Picture Card is the sole responsibility of the user.
Olympus assumes no liability for data leakage, loss,
or other data-related problems that may cause damage.

Olympus Imaging America Inc. r01ympusl warrants that the enctosed Otympus® digital imaging produet(S) and related
Olympu:!:® accessories (individually a 'Produet~ and collectively the ·Products1 will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use and service for aperiod of one (1) year from the date of purchase. If any Product proves
to be defective within the one-year warranty period, the customer must return the defective Product to an Olympus
Service Cenler listed below
(See "WHERE TO SEND PRODUCT FOR SERVICE"). following the procedure set forth
below (See
"WHAT TO DO WHEN SERVICE IS NEEDED"). However, it is recommended that the customer first call
Olympus's Consumer Support Deparlment at 1-888-55-DIGITAL (1-888-553-4448), to attempt to determine the nature of
the problem. Olympus, at its sole discretion,
