Theft
protection
Coding
This
set
is
provided
with
a
passive
security
system
and
comes
coded
from
the
factory.
A
coded
set
is
worthless
to
a
thief.
Don’t
leave
the
Car
Pass
or
the
Radio
Pass
with
the
CODE
number
in
the
car.
When
coded,
the
set
briefly
shows
“CODE”
in
the
display
each
time
it
is
switched
on
(providing
that
ignition
is
switched
on).
The
CODE
protection
LED
@
flashes
as
soon
as
the
set
and
the
ignition
are
switched
off.
You
can
disable
the
code
by
decoding
the
set
(see
"Decoding",
page
18).
Removable
panel

The
set
has
a
removable
panel
for
additional
theft
protection.
Always
take
the
panel
with
you
in
it’s
protective
case
when
leaving
the
car.
The
set
only
functions
with
the
original
panel.
In
case
of
loss
of
the
panel
the
whole
set
has
to
be
exchanged
by
an
authorized
Opel
dealer
Upon
payment.

is
a
service
which
is
being
introduced
all
across
Europe
by
the
broadcasting
companies.
RDS
makes
it
easier
to
find
a
desired
FM
station,
and
ensures
interference-free
reception.
RDS
stations
transmit
—
in
addition
to
the
programme
—
digital
data
with
information
which
the
RDS
set
automatically
evaluates.
If
an
RDS
station
is
received,
the
station-
name
instead
of
the
frequency
appears
in
the
display.
Each
RDS
station
is
broadcast
on
several
frequencies.
During
your
journey
RDS
automatically
compares
the
signal
quality
of
the
receivable
frequencies.
The
set
always
Switches
to
the
strongest
(best-possible
reception
of
chosen
station).
The
station-
name
remains
unchanged
in
the
display.
Therefore
it
is
recommended
to
switch
on
RDS.

cassettes
and

player
Never
expose
cassettes
to
extreme
heat
or
direct
sunlight.
Only
use
C-60
or
C-90
cassettes
of
good
quality.

keep
cassettes

Break

power
supply

replacing
the

battery
the
