Disconnect the mains cable, and remo e the top plate of the player.
Note the yellow marked points where cables must be inserted.

Start by attaching these 3 cables to the kit. The flatcable is inserted by opening the
“flip”-lock, then insert the cable (blue side up), and then close the flip again. If the flip
is difficult to close, please align the cable accordingly so it is perfectly centered. Do not
put excess pressure on the flip.

Connect the cables, start with the small flatcable between the Oppo board and the kit.
When all cables are attached, lift the kit so it is possible to remo e the protecti e paper
from the double adhesi e tape on the backside of the kit. Align the kit with the use of
the small flatcable, and attach the board to the bottom of the chassis.

Attach the 3 cables as shown in figure 4. Please note that all these cables must be
inserted properly before powering up the player. Cable 2 is the longest of the three
cables. They should not be remo ed or inserted with mains power to the player.

Please update your player to the latest official firmware from Oppo. Check that the
firmware ersion is BDP10X(EU)-38-1211 or newer. You can check the firmware ersion
by going to the setup menu, and then selecting De ice Setup - Firmware Information.
Also, please make sure to set the Standby mode to “Energy Efficient” in De ice Setup –
Standby mode.
How to use the mod (older re isions of Oppo firmware):
By default, your bluray player is now region free for DVD. To set the bluray region to A,
B or C, please press “1”, “2” or “3” on the remote when the player is in standby. The
player will automatically power on, when “1”, “2” or “3” is pressed. The selected region
will be stored and remembered, e en when remo ing the mains supply from the player.
To disable the automatic power on, press the blue button on the remote once.
To enable automatic power on again, press the yellow button once.
If the player does not power up with the press of the “1”, “2” or “3” buttons on the
remote, use the following method:

Wait for the Home Menu, (if powered up from standby.)
Please remo e the disc, if any, and close the tray again.
Now press the setup button to access the setup menu. In the setup menu, press:
X (CLEAR) – X (CLEAR) – Region (1, 2 or 3)
When these keys are pressed, the player will power off in about 1-2 seconds. The region
will ha e changed, once the player is powered up again.
