Device Operation:
Place ViraWarn Plus 100 unit on a steady flat surface and power it up by plugging the power cord into
a wall outlet.
The lights (LEDs) in the front indicate the states of various functionalities (Table 1) of ViraWarn.
INDICATION
COLOR
Power Input
WHITE
Media Level
WHITE (steady/blink)
Virus Detection
GREEN/RED (steady/blink)
ViraWarn uses different indications during initialization & normal operating condition.
Initialization:
Once the ViraWarn Plus 100 unit is powered on, it enters the initialization state.
1. There will be a one-time buzzer sound to indicate the initialization process.
2. The fan will run for ten (10) minutes in its default configuration, if the container is not empty
else it will run for five (5) seconds if the container is empty.
3. The power light will have a steady white glow indicating power input to your ViraWarn unit.
4. The media level indicator indicates the level of liquid media present in the detector chamber.
This light will be activated once the device exits the initialization phase.
5. The virus detection light is for viral load status in the closed room. During initialization this will
blink in green.

Normal Operating Condition:
After initialization, the ViraWarn Plus 100 unit will enter its normal operating condition.
1. IMPORTANT NOTE! The fan will be automatically turned off after 10 minutes on the device.
2. The power light will have steady white glow if the unit has power; this does not mean the unit is
running and actively monitoring.
3. To reactivate your unit, cycle the power using the on/off switch on the power cord and a new 10-
minute monitoring cycle will begin.
4. The media level indicator light has two states:
a. Steady white: Liquid media is in acceptable level.
b. Blinking white: Liquid media is below acceptable level or detector chamber is empty. Your
ViraWarn Plus 100 unit will automatically turn off its functionality. In this case the detector
chamber needs to be refilled by following the steps as mentioned in ‘Adding the Media’.
5. The virus detection light has four states indicating safe or a contaminated environment. Table-2
explains the various states and actions to be taken by users if they encounter these cases:
Glow
Indication
Action to be taken
Steady Green
Safe airspace
No action is required
Blinking Red (Slow)
Possible contamination Level-1
User should be alert
Blinking Red (Fast)
Possible contamination Level-2
User should be alert
Steady Red
Virus Detection- contamination of
airborne viruses in the airspace
Evacuate the room, switch off the device for 30
minutes.
6. At the time of virus detection (indicated by Red light) the buzzer will be on and will be continued
for two minutes if the state of detection remains same.
