Front Panel Operation & Display
All functionality of the front panel is visible and adjustable from the modular home
screen. The top button toggles between the different sections of the home screen, and
the bottom button toggles options on the active section. A border around a section of
the screen signifies that the section is active and can be changed.
Multichannel Configuration and Bidirectional Configuration
Channel Selection
If a channel selection portion of the screen is active, pressing the bottom button toggles
through channels in that section: A or B, with Acorresponding to the switch ports on
the left side of the unit and Bcorresponding to the switch ports on the right side. The
channels are toggled through sequentially, looping back to the first channel after the last.
Mode Selection
If the mode selection portion of the screen is active, pressing the bottom button toggles
between cross mode or bar mode.
Bar Mode: This option is used for forward directional testing. In this mode, the Source
port is connected to the left side (A), which outputs to the right side (B), and then to
the OPM port.
Cross Mode: Switching to cross mode allows for testing in the reverse direction of the
cable without flipping. In this mode, the Source port reroutes to the right side (B) and
outputs to the left side (A), then eventually to the OPM port.
