Locate your PBX system near to a mains power supply
and the incoming BT Line sockets.
Step One:
Using the black connector leads connect the PBX206
to your incoming BT/Cable line sockets.
Step Two:
LINE1 1 2 3 4 5 6 LINE2 LINE3
If you are only using one line please see the quick start
guide below or refer to page 3 of the full user guide.
Plug in the mains power lead and switch on.
Red Power light will flash slowly.

You can use the cable ties from the connector leads to
tidy the cabling between the sockets and the PBX.
To connect the extensions to the PBX system use the
required extension connecting cables provided
Step Three:
The first phone should be connected to extension 1 as this
is required to program the system. Simply plug one end of
the connecting cable into extension 1 of the PBX and your
phone lead into the other end of the connecting cable.
Now secure the lose cables to skirting boards using the
cable clips provided to ensure that they do not create a
safety hazard.
Step Four:
LINE1 1 2 3 4 5 6 LINE2 LINE3
To connect the extensions to the PBX system use the 5M
or 10M extension connecting cables provided, depending
on how far away you want the telephones from the system.
These connecting cables can be used to connect any
type of telephone, 2 or 4 wire, to the PBX206.
If you require more cables or accessories please contact
your supplier.

PBX 206 Quick Start programming guide:
• System programming can only be done by Extension 1
• To start programming enter * #
• To finish programming enter #
• To delete an incorrect entry, dial * and re-enter
• A long beep confirms successful programming
• A series of beeps confirms that programming has not been successful
Incoming Ringing
Note: The factory default setting is for all 6 extensions to ring on incoming calls on lines 1 and 2
To change this setting to suit your requirements see the following examples:
Example 1
For incoming calls on line 1 to only ring on extensions 1,2,3 and 4:
Lift Handset & Dial * # 1 1 1 2 3 4 # Replace Handset

Example 2
For incoming calls on line 2 to only ring on extensions 1,5 and 6:

Important Note - One or Two Exchange Lines?
The PBX 206 is configured for 2 exchange lines. If you only have one line enter the following code from extension 1:
Lift Handset & Dial: * # 2 1 # Replace Handset

If in the future you add a second line enter the following code:
Lift Handset & Dial: * # 2 1 2 # Replace Handset
