FOR MOUNTING ON
COMPACT TRACTORS WITH 2 POST R.O.P.S.
STRUCTURES
The SunShade is designed to fit all models of tractors having a one-piece continuous or
foldable ROPS, are between 30" and 40" wide, with a tubing section of 1 3/4" x 2" to 2" x
4 1/4" and an angle of no more than 20 degrees rearward to 10 degrees forward.

from noise, exhaust fumes, chemicals or injury from collision, falling objects or other accidents.
1. Do not operate machine in confined areas without proper ventilation
2. Thoroughly check area of operation before using machine
3. The SunShade adds height to some machines. Low tree limbs and other overhead structures that did
not interfere with the operation of the machine before, may now become obstacles
4. Always use your seat belt when operating R.O.P.S. equipped machines.
PARK TRACTOR SAFELY FOR INSTALLATION
• Park machine on a level surface.
• Lower attachments to ground
• Lock park brake
• Stop engine and remove key
READ THIS MANUAL COMPLETELY BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION.
This SunShade can be assembled in different ways to accommodate a variety of R.O.P.S. tube sizes
and angles. Study the instructions to determine the best method of assembly for your application.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Apply some wax to the lower ends of the Posts. This will make it easier to put the SunShade on and
take it off.
Periodically check all bolts to see that they are tight. If bolts become loose, failure of parts may occur.
Use liquid soap and water with a brush or rag to clean the vinyl cover.

Prepare the L bolts and welded coupler to make the clamps.
Screw the leg of the L bolts with the most thread into the welded coupler. Turn both bolts in equally until
the distance between the other legs match the width of the R.O.P.S. tube.

Assemble Frame
Assemble the frame as shown. The two bolts (indicated by arrows) should be inserted from the inside
out. The parts should be bolted together as shown in the detail inset.

Attach Brackets to R.O.P.S.
The width of the R.O.P.S. will determine the bracket installation. For installation on most ROPS
30”-35” the square tube of the bracket should be toward the outside of the ROPS.

the ROPS.

Place a bracket on the side of the tube. Determine which set of holes and slots will work with the clamp
assembly. Insert the legs of the clamp through the holes and add locknuts. Tighten just enough to keep
the clamp in place. This assembly will be adjusted up or down later in the installation. Make sure
brackets are level.

Determine installation angle and attach Posts and Braces
The following illustrations show the various ways that the Posts and Braces can be mounted, depending
on the angle of the R.O.P.S. Note the position of the slotted tab on the Post and U clamp (arrows).
Posts can be right or left depending on the required tab position. See Brace Adjusting on facing page.
Attach the Posts and Braces to the frame with the nuts, bolts and U clamps. Use flat washers on the
post slot. Leave all bolts loose.

Brace adjustment
For narrower ROPS the flattened tab on the
Braces will need to be bent at a greater angle.
Insert the tab into a vice and bend to obtain the
proper angle.
Install the Frame to Brackets
Insert the Posts into Brackets. Hold the frame level and tighten all the frame bolts.
Loosen the Bracket Clamps and adjust the Sunshade to the desired height. Tighten the bolts while
keeping the brackets level.

Install the vinyl cover
Slip the front of the Vinyl Cover over the front of the frame. Pull the rear of the cover down over the rear
bow one corner at a time. Fasten the hook and loop tabs around the tube. Push the center bow up to
tighten the cover if needed.
LIMITED WARRANTY
ORIGINAL TRACTOR CAB CO., INC., (the "Company") warrants to the owner that each new product listed below is merchantable and free of defects in
workmanship and material.
During the warranty period, the dealer from whom the product was bought, or the Company, will provide, free of charge, parts and the shipping costs of parts
necessary to correct any defect in workmanship and material.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The company products listed below are warranted for the stated period from the date of the original purchase:

OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
The owner of a new Company manufactured product must do the following to qualify for warranty service:
1. Retain the original invoice or other proof of purchase to avoid unnecessary difficulties in determining eligibility for warranty work.
2. Notify the dealer from whom the product was bought, or the company, as soon as possible after discovery of a possible
defect, and provide proof of original purchase.
3. The owner may, upon notification by the Company, be required to return the defective part, or parts, to the Company for
inspection and warranty service.
NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
The following are not covered by this warranty:
1. Transportation charges to and from servicing dealer or the Company;
2. New products that have been subject to misuse, negligence or accident, or have been altered or repaired in a manner not authorized by the company;
All implied warranties, except to the extent prohibited by any applicable law, shall have no greater duration than the warranty period for the applicable
product, some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
The Companys' liability arising out of warranties representation, instructions, or defects from any abuse, shall be limited exclusively to repair or replacing
parts under the condition in the warranty, and in no event will Company be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have rights that vary from state to state.
