Hip Hound Mobility Brace
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Thank you for purchasing an Ortho Dog brace for your dog.

Unbuckle the harness chest strap
and slide your dog’s head through
the neck loop. The square ring
should be positioned on top,
pointed towards your dog’s tail.
Bring the front center strap
between your dog’s front legs,
and slip the long chest strap
through the loop at the end.
Connect the ends of the chest
strap together and use the slide
adjustments to securely fit the
harness. Two fingers should fit
comfortably between your dog
and the harness.

FITTING THE HARNESS

Apply the Left Leg Brace
First, slide your dog’s left leg through
the adjustable leg straps on the left leg
brace. The brace should sit securely
below the hip joint and above the knee
joint. Next, slide the top nylon connecting
strap through the rectangular ring at the
base of the harness, pressing the Velcro
firmly together.
Secure Braces Together on the
Lower Back
With the left and right brace pulled
firmly up and slightly forward onto
the lower back, Velcro the two braces
together. The right brace, with the
Ortho Dog logo, will be positioned
above the other brace.
Helpful Tip!
Once the brace is adjusted
correctly to fit your dog,
you can open the Velcro
connecting strap from the
leg portion to the harness,
and slide the brace off and
on like a pair of pants.
Apply the Right Leg Brace
Slide your dog’s right leg through the
adjustable leg straps on the right leg
brace. Adjust the Velcro straps for a
secure fit around the right thigh.
