PRECAUCIONES IMPORTANTES
Cuando se utiliza cualquier artefacto eléctrico siempre se deben seguir precauciones

INSTRUCCIONES ESPECIALES PARA EL CABLE
Un cable de alimentación corto o un cable de alimentación desmontable es
proporcionadoconelndereducirlosriesgosqueresultanalenredarseotropezarse
con un cable más largo. Los cables de extensión o los cables eléctricos desmontables se
encuentran disponibles más largos y pueden usarse siempre y cuando se tenga cuidado
al utilizarlos. Si utiliza un cable de extensión o un cable de alimentación desmontable
largo:
a. La potencia nominal indicada en el cable de extensión o en el cable de alimentación
desmontable debe ser igual o mayor a la potencia nominal del dispositivo;
b. El cable más largo debe colocarse de modo que no cuelgue sobre la mesa o
mostrador, donde los niños puedan halarlo o tropezarse involuntariamente; y
c. Si el artefacto es del tipo de conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe ser de 3
conductores con conexión a tierra.
No tire, tuerza ni abuse del cable de alimentación.
ADVERTENCIA

ANTES DE UTILIZAR POR PRIMERA VEZ
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca fuerce el pan en las ranuras de tostado. El pan debe encajar
fácilmente en las ranuras de tostado. Nunca tueste rebanadas de pan que hayan
sido untadas con mantequilla. Tenga cuidado adicional al tostar alimentos que
contengan azúcar, mermelada o conservas, ya que existe el riesgo de que estos
ingredientes se ltren en la tostadora, causando sobrecalentamiento. No coloque
pan doblado, dañado o roto en la tostadora, ya que puede ocasionar que se
atasque.
Retire con cuidado su tostadora de la caja. Retire todo material de embalaje del interior
delacajadesutostadora.Coloquesutostadoraenunasuperciedetrabajoestable,
segura, seca y nivelada lejos del borde de la mesa o mostrador. El pan puede quemarse,
por lo tanto, no utilice este artefacto cerca o debajo de materiales combustibles como
cortinas. Nunca use la tostadora debajo de las alacenas o estantes. Antes de conectar
a una fuente de alimentación, asegúrese de que el voltaje sea el mismo que se indica

TOSTANDO UNA SOLA REBANADA DE PAN
Siestátostandounarebanadadepan,ajusteelcontroldedoradoenunaconguración
másbajaquelanormal.Elseleccionarunaconguraciónmásbajacuandotuesteuna
rebanada de pan evitará que se tueste demasiado.
SI SU TOSTADORA SE ATASCA
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca utilice un cuchillo u otro utensilio para retirar el pan atascado.
Nunca inserte sus dedos en las ranuras para el pan.
1. Apague la tostadora y desenchúfela del tomacorriente.
2. Permita que la tostadora se enfríe por completo.
3. Retire con precaución el pan de la tostadora teniendo cuidado de no dañar el
elemento calefactor.
NOTAS:
• Las guías de pan de ajuste automático centrarán automáticamente los alimentos
para dorarlos uniformemente.

INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
Sugerencia: Su tostadora ha sido diseñada para un balance óptimo de tostadas.
Algunos elementos en el interior de la tostadora pueden brillar más que otros cuando
está en uso. Esto es una parte normal del funcionamiento de la tostadora.
Para eliminar alimentos atascados en las ranuras para pan: desenchufe la tostadora
y retire la los alimentos una vez que la tostadora se haya enfriado.
No coloque alimentos encima de la tostadora mientras se está calentando.
ADVERTENCIA: Vacíe la bandeja para migas con frecuencia. Las migas se acumularán
en la bandeja para migas y podría ocasionar un incendio si no se vacía periódicamente.

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
Después de utilizar su tostadora y antes de limpiarla, desenchufe el cable de
alimentación del tomacorriente y espere a que la tostadora se enfríe.
• Limpie la parte exterior de la tostadora con un paño húmedo y luego séquela con
otro paño o papel toalla. No utilice limpiadores abrasivos; ya que estos dañarán el
acabado de la tostadora.
• Toque ligeramente los lados de la tostadora para desalojar cualquier miga atrapada
en la tostadora. Retire la bandeja para migas y vacíela. Limpie la bandeja con un
paño húmedo o colóquela en la rejilla superior de su lavaplatos automático para
limpiarla. Asegúrese de poner la bandeja para migas de nuevo en la tostadora antes
de volver a usar la tostadora.
• Limpielasuperciedelapartesuperiordelasranurasparapanconunpaño
húmedo y séquelas con otro paño seco o papel toalla.
PRECAUCIÓN: no sumerja la tostadora en líquido.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to

1. Read all instructions before using this product.
2. This appliance generates heat during use. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or
knobs. Always protect your hands with non-slip oven mitts or similar.
3. To protect against electric shock, do not place or immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in
water or other liquid.
4. This appliance is not to be used by children or by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children
should not play with the appliance.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then unplug power cord from outlet. Do not
disconnect by pulling on cord. Always grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to replace or
splice a damaged cord. Return appliance to the manufacturer (see warranty) for

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
POWER CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
A short power-supply cord or detachable power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable
power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised
in their use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
a. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
b. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; and
c. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the cord set or extension cord should be a
grounding-type 3-wire cord.
Do not pull, twist or otherwise abuse the power cord.

1. Some countertop and table surfaces are not designed to withstand the prolonged

1. Self-centring bread slots
Whether you are toasting thick or thin slices,
your bread will always be held in the centre of
the slot to ensure even toasting.
2. Cancel button
The Cancel button immediately interrupts any
toasting cycle and pops the toast up.
3. Bagel function
The bagel option automatically adjusts the
toasting time.
4. Defrost button
This setting ensures bread can be toasted
straight from the freezer.
5. High-lift Lever with QuickCheck feature
The progress of the toast can be checked at any
time by lifting up the toasting lever. This can be

BEFORE FIRST USE
CAUTION: Never force bread into the toasting slots. Bread should t easily into the
toasting slots. Never toast slices of bread that have been buttered. Take extra care
when toasting items that contain sugar, jam or preserves, as there is a risk of the
ingredients leaking into the toaster, causing overheating. Don’t use bent, damaged
or broken bread in your toaster as it may cause it to jam.
Carefully remove your toaster from its box. Remove all packaging from inside the toasting
slots. Position your toaster on a stable, secure, dry and level work surface away from
the edge. Bread may burn therefore do not use the appliance near or below combustible
materials such as curtains. Never use the toaster below wall cupboards or shelves.
Before connecting to a power source, make sure your mains supply voltage is the same
as the one indicated on the appliance. Connect the plug to a suitable power outlet and
makesurethatthepowercorddoesnotoverhangtheworksurface.Whenyourstuse
yourtoaster,theremaybeaslightodourastheheatingelementswarmupfortherst
time. This is quite normal and not a cause for concern. To remove the odour, simply
operateyourtoasterforthersttimewithoutanybreadinit.
USING YOUR TOASTER
1. Set the level of toasting using the browning control. The higher the number selected,
the darker the toast will be.
2. Place the bread into the toasting slots. Press the loading handle down until it latches.
The bread will be lowered into the toaster and toasting will begin.
The loading handle will not latch if your toaster is not connected to the mains supply.
3. Whentoastinghasnished,theloadinghandlewillriseandthetoastedbreadcanbe
removed. You can lift the loading handle upwards beyond its rest position to help you
remove the toast.
4. If the toast is not done enough it can be toasted again. Turn the browning control to a
lower setting and watch the toast to ensure that it doesn’t burn.
5. Toasting can be stopped at any time by pressing the cancel button.
Toasting tips
• Toasting is a combination of drying and cooking the bread and, because moisture
levels differ from one bread to another, toasting times can vary.
• For slightly dry bread, use a lower setting than normal.
• For fresh bread or whole wheat bread, use a higher setting than normal.
• Bread which has a very uneven surface will require a higher setting.
• Thicker cut pieces of bread (including crumpets) will take longer to toast—sometimes
signicantlylonger.Thisisbecausemoremoisturemustbeevaporatedfromthe
bread before toasting can occur. Very thick pieces of bread may require two toasting
cycles.
• When toasting raisin or other fruit breads, remove any loose raisins or fruit from the
surface of the bread before putting it into your toaster. This will help prevent fruit
pieces from falling into your toaster or sticking to the guard wires in the toasting slot.

Single slice toasting
If you are toasting a single slice of bread, set the browning control to a lower setting than
normal. By using a lower setting when toasting a single slice of bread, it will not be over
toasted.
If your toaster jams
CAUTION: Never use a knife or any other utensil or implement to remove jammed bread.
Neverinsertyourngersintothebreadslots.
1. Switch the toaster off at the mains supply socket and unplug it.
2. Allow the toaster to completely cool down.
3. Carefully ease the bread out of the toaster being careful not to damage the heating
element.
NOTES:
• TheAuto-AdjustingBreadGuideswillautomaticallycenterthefoodforeven
browning.
• Toast is the default setting if no food or function select buttons are chosen.
• To use the High Lift feature, press up on the bread carriage lever to lift the bread out
of the slots. It is a convenient and safe way of retrieving the smallest of toasted items.
Using the Cancel Function:
Press the Cancel button . The toaster will stop toasting immediately and the food will
pop up automatically.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Tip: Your toaster has been designed for optimum toast balance. Some elements on
the inside of the toaster may glow more brightly than others when in use. This is part of
normal toaster operation.
To remove food jammed in the bread slots: unplug the toaster and remove the food
once the toaster has cooled down.
Do not place food on top of toaster while it is warming.
WARNING: Empty the Crumb Tray frequently. Crumbs will accumulate in the Crumb Tray
andcouldcatchreifnotemptiedperiodically.

Cleaning and User Maintenance
After use and before cleaning, unplug the toaster Power Cord from the power outlet and
wait for the toaster to cool.
• Wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth and then dry it with another cloth or
papertowel.Donotuseabrasivecleaners;theywilldamagethetoaster’snish.
• Lightly tap the sides of the toaster to dislodge any crumbs caught in the toast
chamber. Remove the Crumb Tray and empty it. Wipe the tray clean with a damp
cloth or place it in the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning. Be certain to put the
Crumb Tray back into the toaster before using the toaster again.
• Wipe the surface on the top of the bread slots with a damp cloth and dry it with
another cloth or paper towel.
CAUTION: Do not immerse Toaster in liquid.
This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Any servicing beyond that described in the
Cleaning Section should be performed by an Authorized Service Representative only.
