0.1 Preface
The Leckey Bath Chair and Shower Trolley has been
designed to reach new levels of functionality and
adjustability for the use in the bath and shower. This
manual shows you how you can quickly and easily make
use of all of the functions. The instructions on the safety
and maintenance of the product will ensure that you will
enjoy the use of this product for a long time.
0.2 Intended Use
The Leckey Bath Chair is for use in the bath or the shower
if used with a Shower Trolley. The Leckey Bath Chair is
intended for children with disabilities from the age of
1 - 18 years old who may have a lack of trunk control or
excessive muscle tension due to conditions such as
cerebral palsy and, or, those who are unable to support
themselves during the bathing process.
0.3 Declaration of Conformity
James Leckey Design Ltd., as manufacturer with sole
responsibility, declares that the Leckey Bath Chair conforms
to the requirements of the 93/42/EEC Guidelines.
0.4 Terms of Warranty
The Warranty applies only when the product is used
according to the specified conditions and for the intended
purposes, following all manufacturer’s recommendations
(also see our general terms of sales, delivery and payment).

1.0How to Unpack and Assemble
Congratulations on purchasing your Leckey Bath Chair. Your
Bath Chair will come bubble wrapped, flat packed and
without the cover attached. To attach the cover, position
the bath seat with the calf support in the maximum position
as shown, then firstly slip the cover over the backrest and
then secondly the calf support. Then loop the straps in
through the frame securing the fabric under the seat base
as shown in 1.2.
Your Leckey Bath Chair will come with a hip belt already
attached and chest belt with lateral supports. Additional
straps as ordered will also be included.
PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE PARTS YOU
ORDERED.
2.0How to Adjust
2.1 Height Adjustment
The Leckey Bath Chair can be adjusted in height to allow
for a range of positions from flat in the bath to over bath
height. The height is adjusted by pulling down on both sets
of levers (a) and adjusting the front and back legs to the
required position. Once the required position is obtained
simply release the levers (a). For stability reasons we do
not recommend that both sets of legs be adjusted to their
highest position at the same time.
2.2 Tilt in Space
The independent height adjustability of the Leckey Bath
Chair front and back legs allows the seat to be adjusted for
a range of tilt in space positions. These adjustments are
carried out in the exact same way as the height adjustment
described above.

2.3 Back Recline Adjustment
The back recline of the Leckey Bath Chair can be adjusted
to four positions from horizontal to 90 degrees. The back
recline is adjusted by pulling the lever, moving to the
required position and then releasing the lever, ensuring it
slots back into position.
2.3.1 Calf Support Adjustment
The calf support can be adjusted into four positions by
pulling down on the levers (a), moving to the required
position and then releasing the lever into position.
2.3.2 Hip Belt
The hip belt simply secures around the user with Velcro.
2.3.3 Chest Belt
To attach the chest belt, loop it around the back of the seat
and Velcro securely at the front around the user. The strap
also has two foam wedges attached which may be used to
position the user more securely. To do so, position the
foam pads under the user’s armpit, while looping the strap
around the back of the frame and secure with Velcro at the
front as shown. The lateral supports can also be positioned
out of the way at the back of the seat if the user does not
require this level of support.
3.0Accessories
In addition to the hip belt and chest belt, an abduction
strap and head laterals are also available for the Leckey
Bath Chair
3.1 Abduction Strap
To attach the abduction strap, simply loop around the
tubular frame and secure at the back with Velcro.
The legs are then positioned and secured by the
smaller Velcro straps.
3.2 Head Laterals
The head laterals are secured in the same way by simply
looping around the tubular frame and securing at the back
with Velcro.

Shower Trolley
1.1 Congratulation on purchasing a Shower Trolley for the
Leckey Bath Chair. This will allow you to simply convert
you Leckey Bath Chair into a shower chair. Your Shower
Trolley will arrive complete and packaged in bubble wrap.
PLEASE CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ALL THE PARTS YOU
ORDERED
1.2 To attach the Leckey Bath Chair to the Shower Trolley,
simply alter the length of the frame, to correspond with the
adjusted position of the legs on the Leckey Bath Chair.
This is done by loosening the bolts (a) and adjusting the bar
(b) to the required position. Once in position re-tighten the
bolts (a) securely.
1.3 Then simply drop the front and back legs of the Leckey
Bath Chair into the channels as shown, fastening the Velcro
straps securely around the leg tubes.

Safety Instructions
1. The weight limit on all four sizes of seat is
72kg. This should NEVER be exceeded.
2. With the exception of the back recline
adjustment the advance bath seat should not
be adjusted whilst the user is in the seat. If
adjusting the back recline with a user in the
seat ensure while the lever is pulled up that
the backrest of the chair is secure by holding
onto the handles at the top of the bath seat
frame.
3. We recommend that children should not be
left unattended at any time whilst using
Leckey equipment.
4. If you are in any doubt as to the safe use of
your Leckey Bath Chair or Shower Trolley,
please cease using the product immediately
and contact your local dealer.
5. We recommend that when the Shower
Trolley is stationary that all four castors are
locked and facing away from the trolley base.
6. Although mobility is an important feature of
this product we do not recommend that users
be moved over uneven surfaces whilst in the
equipment. All due care and attention should
be taken if transporting the user in the
shower chair from one room to another.
7. If moving your shower chair from one room
to another please steer by gripping onto the
handles at the top of the backrest.
How to Maintain
1. The bath seat is manufactured from stainless
steel and plastic. When cleaning the bath
seat frame we would recommend that you
use warm water and a non-abrasive
detergent.
2. The bath seat cover can be removed and
machine-washed at 60 degrees centigrade.
To remove the cover reverse the process of
attaching the cover as described in 1.0
“How to unpack and assemble”
3. At least once a week check that all fixings
and fastenings are in good condition.
4. We recomend that you do not use any type of
medication during the bathing process as this
may contribute to the breakdown of the
adhesive glue used to bond the moulding to
the stainless steel leg.

Re-issuing Leckey Products
1. Most Leckey products have been assessed
and ordered to meet individual needs
therefore, we recommend that before a
product is being re-issued, a compatibility
check has been carried out.
2. For hygiene reasons when re-issuing the bath
seat we recommend that a new set of covers
is ordered.
3. Ensure that the product has been cleaned
thoroughly.
4. A complete safety check of the product must
be carried out prior to re-issusing, this must
include the following checks:
Check that all locking mechanisms are
functioning properly see 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4
If the Bath Seat is used in conjunction with
the Shower Trolley, please check castors are
moving freely and are in good condition.
Check that all locking bolts are working
properly and in place.
5. Where possible, please ensure that a copy of
the relevant instruction manual is kept with
the product and passed onto the new user.

0.1 Vorwort
Die Leckey Duschliege und das Untergestell für die Leckey
Duschliege wurden so entwickelt, dass sie ein neues
Niveau an Funktionalität und Verstellbarkeit erreichen. Diese
Gebrauchsanleitung zeigt Ihnen, wie Sie einfach und
schnell Gebrauch von diesen Funktionen machen können.
Die Anleitungen zur Sicherheit und zur Instandhaltung
dieses Artikels werden sicherstellen, dass Sie sich an dem
Gebrauch dieses Artikels eine lange Zeit erfreuen können.
0.2 Verwendungszweck
Die Leckey Duschliege ist für die Benutzung in der
Badewanne oder, falls das Untergestell benutzt wird, auch
für die Benutzung in der Dusche geeignet. Die Leckey
Duschliege ist für Kinder mit Behinderungen im Alter von 1
bis 18 Jahren vorgesehen, die die Bewegungen Ihres
Oberkörper schwer kontrollieren können oder unter
übermäßiger Muskelverspannung leiden, die auf
Krankheiten wie zerebrale Lähmung zurückzuführen sind,
oder für Kinder, die sich während des Badevorgangs nicht
selbst aufrecht halten können.
0.3 Konformitätserklärung
James Leckey Design Ltd. erklärt als Hersteller in alleiniger
Verantwortung, dass die Leckey Duschliege mit den
Anforderungen der Richtlinie 93 /42 /EWG für
Medizinprodukte übereinstimmt.
0.4 Garantiebedingungen
Eine Gewährleistung kann nur übernommen werden, wenn
das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedingungen und zu
den vorgesehenen Zwecken eingesetzt wird (siehe auch
unsere allgemeinen Verkaufs-, Liefer- und
Zahlungsbedingungen).

1.0 Das Auspacken und Zusammenbauen
Wir beglückwünschen Sie zum Erwerb Ihrer Leckey
Duschliege. Ihre Duschliege wird mit Luftpolsterfolie flach
verpackt sein und der Stoffbezug wird noch nicht
angebracht sein.
Um den Bezug anzubringen, stellen Sie die Rückenlehne
und die Wadenstütze, wie unter 1.1 abgebildet, auf
maximale Position. Ziehen Sie dann den Überzug zuerst
über die Rückenlehne und dann über die Wadenstütze.
Ziehen Sie dann die Riemen durch den Rahmen und
verkletten Sie den Bezug unter dem Sitz wie in 1.2
gezeigt.
Ihre Leckey Duschliege wird mit einem Beckengurt, der
schon angebracht ist, und einem
Brustgurt mit seitlichen Stützen geliefert. Zusätzliche
Riemen werden je nach Bestellung auch mitgeliefert.
BITTE ÜBERPRÜFEN SIE, DASS SIE ALLE BESTELLTEN
TEILE ERHALTEN HABEN.
2.0 Die verschiedenen Einstellungen
2.1 Das Einstellen der Höhe
Die Leckey Duschliege kann in der Höhe verstellt werden,
um eine Reihe von Positionen von flach im Bad bis zur
Höhe des Badewannenrand anbieten zu können. Die Höhe
wird eingestellt durch das Herunterdrücken der beiden
Hebel (a) und dem Anpassen der Vorder- und Hinterbeine
zur gewünschten Position. Wurde die benötigte Position
erreicht, werden die Hebel (a) einfach losgelassen. Aus
Stabilitätsgründen empfehlen wir dass beide Paar Beine
nicht gleichzeitig auf die höchste Position eingestellt
werden.
2.2 Das Einstellen des Sitzwinkels
Die unabhängige Höheneinstellung der Vorder- und
Hinterbeine der Leckey Duschliege erlaubt es, dass der Sitz
für eine Reihe von geneigten Positionen angepasst werden
kann. Diese Einstellungen werden auf die gleiche Weise
ausgeführt wie die Höheneinstellungen, die oben
beschrieben wurden.

2.3 Das Einstellen der Rückenlehne
Die Rückenlehne der Duschliege kann in vier Positionen
verstellt werden, von horizontal bis zu 90°. Sie verstellen
die Rückenlehne dadurch, dass Sie den Hebel ziehen, die
Rückenlehne in die gewünschte Position bringen und den
Hebel lösen, wobei Sie darauf achten müssen, dass er
einrastet.
2.3.1 Das Einstellen der Wadenstütze
Die Wadenstütze kann auf vier Positionen durch
Herunterziehen der Hebel (a), dem Bewegen zur
geforderten Position und dann dem Freigeben der Hebel in
dieser Position eingestellt werden.
2.3.2 Der Beckengurt
Der Beckengurt wird einfach mit einem Klettverschluss um
den Benutzer herum gesichert.
2.3.3 Der Brustgurt
Um den Brustgurt anzubringen wird dieser hinten um den
Sitz gelegt und vorne sicher um den Benutzer herum mit
Klettverschluss gesichert. Der Riemen hat auch zwei
Schaumstoffkeile, welche benutzt werden können, um den
Benutzer noch sicherer zu befestigen. Dazu werden die
Keile unter die Achseln des Benutzers geschoben, während
der Riemen hinten um den Rahmen geschlungen und vorne
mit Klettverschluss gesichert wird wie abgebildet. Die
seitlichen Stützen können auch nach hinten gedreht
werden, wenn der Benutzer, diese extra Unterstützung
nicht benötigt.
3.0 Das Zubehör
Zusätzlich zum Beckengurt und Brustgurt sind auch ein
Abduktionsgurt und Kopfstützen für die Leckey Duschliege
erhältlich.
3.1 Der Abduktionsgurt
Um den Abduktionsgurt anzubringen wird dieser einfach
um den Rahmen geschlungen und hinten mit einem
Klettverschluss gesichert. Die Beine werden dann
entsprechend positioniert und mit den kleineren Riemen
mit Klettverschlüssen gesichert.
3.2 Die Kopfstütze
Die Kopfstütze wird auf gleiche Weise durch einfaches
Herumschlingen um den Rahmen und Sichern mit
Klettverschluss hinten festgemacht.

1.1 Das Auspacken und Zusammenbauen
Wir beglückwünschen Sie zum Erwerb des
Duschuntergestells für die Leckey Duschliege. Damit
können Sie aus der Duschliege eine fahrbare Duschliege
machen. Das Duschuntergestell wird komplett und in
Luftpolsterfolie geliefert.
BITTE ÜBERPRÜFEN SIE, DASS SIE ALLE BESTELLTEN
TEILE ERHALTEN HABEN.
1.2Um die Leckey Duschliege am Duschuntergestell
anzubringen, ändern Sie einfach die Länge des Rahmens
so, dass er mit den eingestellten Positionen der Beine der
Duschliege übereinstimmt. Dies wird durch das Lösen der
Bolzen (a) und dem Einstellen der Rahmenhälfte (b) in die
entsprechende Position erzielt. Wenn richtig positioniert,
ziehen Sie die Bolzen (a) wieder ganz fest.
1.3Setzen Sie die Vorder- und Hinterbeine der Leckey
Duschliege, wie abgebildet, in die vorgegebenen Rinnen.
Sichern Sie die Duschliege mit dem Klettverschluss um die
Beinrohre.

Sicherheitshinweise
1. Das Gewicht für alle vier Grössen des Sitzes
ist 72 kg. Dies sollte nie überschritten
werden.
2 Mit Ausnahme der Rückenlehne des Advance
Badesitzes sollte nichts verstellt werden,
während der Benutzer im Sitz ist. Wenn die
Rückenlehne eingestellt wird, während der
Benutzer sich im Sitz befindet, stellen Sie
sicher, dass die Lehne gestützt wird solange
der Hebel angezogen ist, in dem Sie die Griffe
am oberen Ende des Badesitzrahmens
festhalten.
3 Wir empfehlen, dass Kinder zu keiner Zeit
unbeaufsichtigt bleiben, während sie sich auf
der Leckey Ausrüstung befinden.
4 Sollten Sie irgendwelche Zweifel an der
sicheren Benutzung Ihres Leckey Advance
Badesitzes oder Duschrollwagens haben,

6 Wenn der Duschrollwagen in statischem
Zustand ist, empfehlen wir, alle vier Rollräder
zu blockieren und von der Rollwagenbasis
wegzeigen zu lassen
7 Auch wenn Beweglichkeit ein wichtiger
Aspekt dieses Produktes ist, empfehlen wir
nicht, dass Benutzer darin über unebene
Oberflächen gefahren werden während sie
auf dem Gerät sind. Jedwede Vorsicht und
Achtung sollte angebracht werden, wenn der
Benutzer im Duschrollwagen von einem
Raum in einen anderen ransportiert wird.
8 Wenn Sie Ihren Duschrollwagen von einem
Raum in einen anderen fahren, steuern Sie
ihn bitte durch Festhalten der Griffe am
oberen Ende der Rückenlehne.
Die Instandhaltung und Pflege
1 Der Badesitz wird aus Edelstahl und Plastik
hergestellt. Für das Reinigen des Badesitzes
empfehlen wir, warmes Wasser und ein nicht
scheuerndes Reinigungsmittel zu verwenden.
2 Der Bezug des Badesitzes kann abgenommen
werden und in der Waschmaschine bei 60
Grad gewaschen werden. Um den Bezug zu
entfernen, folgen Sie einfach der
Beschreibung des Anbringens dieses
Bezuges, wie in 1.0 „Das Auspacken und
Zusammenbauen“ erklärt, in umgekehrter
Reihenfolge.
3 Mindestens einmal pro Woche sollten Sie
prüfen, dass alle Verbindungen und Gurte
einschliesslich der Rollen in gutem Zustand
sind.
4 Sollten Sie irgendwelche Zweifel an der
sicheren Benutzung Ihres Leckey Advance
Badesitzes oder Duschrollwagens haben,
hören Sie auf, das Produkt zu benutzen und
kontaktieren Sie Ihren Händler so schnell wie
möglich.
5. Wir empfehlen, dass Sie während des
Badevorgangs keine medizinischen
Badezusätze oder Ähnliches benutzen.
Dies könnte dazu führen, dass sich das
Klebemittel, das einzelne Teile zusammenhält,
auflöst.

Wiedereinsatz
1. Die meisten Reha-Produkte werden speziell
auf die Bedürfnisse einer Person ausgewählt
und angepasst. Deshalb empfehlen wir vor
dem Wiedereinsatz die Durchführung einer
Kompatibilitätsprüfung.
2. Aus hygienischen Gründen sollten alle
Netzbezüge vor dem Wiedereinsatz
ausgetauscht werden.
3. Stellen Sie vor dem Wiedereinsatz eine
gründliche Reinigung sicher.
4. Eine komplette Sicherheitsüberprüfung vor
dem Wiedereinsatz des Produktes sollte die
folgenden Punkte beinhalten:
a. Überprüfen Sie alle Verschluss- und
Rastmechanismen
(siehe 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4)
b. Bei der Verwendung eines
Duschuntergestells prüfen Sie die Lauf-
und Dreheigenschaften der Rollen und
die Funktionsfähigkeit der Bremsen.
c. Überprüfen Sie alle
Schraubverbindungen
5. Das Produkt sollte beim Wiedereinsatz mit
einer aktuellen Bedienungsanleitung

1.0 Rimozione Dell’imballaggio E Montaggio
Complimenti per l’acquisto del vostro Sdraio da
BagnoLeckey. Il vostro Sdraio da Bagno Leckey é avvolto
inmultibolle, appiattito e senza rivestimento. Per mettere
llrivestimento, ponete la sedia con il supporto del
polpaccionella sua posizione massima, come mostrato,
quindi fatescivolare il rivestimento sopra lo schienale e
quindi sulsupporto del polpaccio. Infine avvolgete le
cinghieattraverso il telaio, assicurando il tessuto sotto la
base delsedile come mostrato in 1figura 1.2.
Il vostro Sdraio da Bagno Leckey é dotato di una cintura
peri fianchi e di una per il torace, con supporti laterali.

2.0 Regolazioni
2.1 Regolazioni In Elevazione

Operazioni Preliminari

2.3 Regolazione Dell’inclinazione All’indietro
L’inclinazione all’indietro dello Sdraio da Bagno Leckey

La cintura per i fianchi viene assicurata attorno all’utenteper
mezzo del Velcro.
2.3.3 Cintura Per il Torace
Per fissare la cintura per il torace, fatela girare attorno
alretro del sedile ed assicuratela anteriormente,
attornoall’utente, per mezzo del Velcro. Alla cintura sono
anchecollegati due cunei di gommapiuma, utilizzabili per
tenerel’utente in posizione piu’ fermamente. Per farlo,
posizionatei cuscinetti di gommapiuma sotto le ascelle

Oltre alle cinture per i fianchi e per il torace, sono
disponibiliper lo Sdraio da Bagno Leckey anche una cinghia
diabduzione e contenimenti laterali per il capo.

Per collegare la cinghia di abduzione, avvolgetela attornoalla
struttura tubolare sul retro e fermatela con il Velcro.
Legambe vengono posizionate e tenute ferme dalle cinghie
diVelcro piú piccole.
3.2 Contenimenti Laterali Per il Capo
I contenimenti laterali per il capo vengono fissati nello
stesso modo,semplicemente avvolgendoli attorno alla
struttura tubolare efermando sul retro con il Velcro.

1.2Per fissare lo Sdraio da Bagno Leckey al carrello per
ladoccia, modificate la lunghezza del telaio fino a
farlacorrispondere con la posizione delle gambe regolata
sulloSdraio da Bagno Leckey. Ció viene effettuato
allentando ibulloni ‘a’ e regolando la barra ‘b’ fino alla
posizionerichiesta. Quando in posizione, riserrate i bulloni
‘a’ confermezza.
1.3Quindi, inserite le gambe anteriori e posteriori dello
Sdraioda Bagno Leckey nei canali come mostrato,
stringendo lecinghie di Velcro con fermezza attorno ai tubi
delle gambe.

1. Il limite di peso per tutte le misureé di 72kg.
Questo peso non deveMAI essere superato.
2. Con l’esclusione dell’inclinazione all’indietro,lo
Sdraio da Bagno Leckey non deve maiessere
regolato quando l’utente é sul sedile.Quando
l’inclinazione all’indietro é regolatamentre
l’utente é sul sedile, assicuratevi che,quando
la leva viene sollevata, lo schienaledella sedia
sia ben saldo afferrando le manigliein cima al
telaio dello sdraio.
3. Si raccomanda di non lasciare mai soli
ibambini durante l'uso
dell'attrezzaturaLeckey.
4. In caso di dubbio di alcun genere
riguardoall'utilizzo sicuro del vostro Sdraio da
BagnoLeckey o del carrello per la
doccia,interrompete l'utilizzo del
prodottoimmediatamente e contattate il
nostroServizio Clienti al più presto.
5. Quando il carrello per la doccia è
fermo,assicuratevi che tutte e quattro le
ruotinsiano bloccate ed orientate verso
l’esternodella base.
6. Sebbene la mobilità è
un'importantecaratteristica di questo
prodotto, non èconsigliabile che gli utenti
vengano fattimuovere su superfici irregolari
mentreutilizzano l'apparecchiatura. Tutte le
dovuteattenzioni e precauzioni devono
essereosservate nel trasportare l’utente, sul
sedileper la doccia, da una stanza all’altra.
7. Se dovete trasportare la vostra sedia
dadoccia da una stanza all’altra,
guidatelatenendo ben salde le maniglie in
cima alloschienale.
Manutenzione
1. La sedia da bagno é fatta di
acciaioinossidabile e plastica. Per pulire il
telaio viconsigliamo di usare solo acqua
tiepida edetergente non abrasivo.
2. La copertura della sedia da bagno puó
essererimossa e lavata in lavatrice a 60 gradi.
Perrimuovere la copertura seguite il
processoinverso a quello della sua
installazione,descritto al punto 1.0
“Rimozionedell’imballaggio e montaggio”.
3. Almeno una volta alla settimana,
controllateche tutti i connettori e gli snodi
siano inbuone condizioni.
4. Vi sconsigliamo di non usare alcun tipo
dimedicinale durante il bagno, in quanto
ciópotrebbe favorire la degradazione
dell’adesivousato per fissare il sedile alle
gambe inacciaio inossidabile.
